I think I enjoyed this, but I’m not sure. It was okay book, I guess. I was engaged in certain parts, but not in a lot. I felt like there was kind of a little bit of a disconnect from what was going on and happening in the characters’ lives. Charming story about a young woman working in a bookshop during the bombing of London during WWII. She also works as a warden during the nights of the bombings and sees the devastation from the bombings. Never a reader, she learns the joy of reading and sharing stories with others during a very difficult time.
