Exceptional textual notes and a fresh translation (no small feat). This commentary is short on verse by verse detail in the comments. The comments offered are brief, only 79 pages worth, but they are also very well considered. He says a lot in a concise manner. I enjoy that the author rejects the majority view that Micah was not the author of the (majority of) the book. His view is that the whole book is the work of Micah. He sees Micah as a revivalist of his times, and lays out the evidence for his interpretation for the reader to come to his or her own conclusion. I appreciated the insights he presented.

Exactly what I expect from Hermeneia: Crisp critical detail, not too much theological exegesis but rather a sound basis for theology. Easily turned into three hourlong adult Sunday school lessons in Advent.
