Robin Hood's Widow was an excellent continuation of the story that began in Robin Hood's Dawn. This series is an enjoyable ride through 12th century England and the Robin Hood legends, with some unique twists and turns. Faithful to the historical material and the the original legends, but breaks some new ground as well.

When I started research for my own Robin Hood retelling, I set out to read every version of the tale that I could get my hands on. Some have been fantastic, others not so much; only one was DNF'd. I'm intrigued how despite the common story points they all share, how remarkably different each version is.

I loved this one as much as the first one. This one Maid Marian takes the lead role as she vows to avenge Robin.
I love the rich history, real characters, and how history and fiction mash together seamlessly.
See my blog for a full review of both books.

Plummer and Longueville’s Robin Hood series is back with this exciting second installment in the trilogy. With even more heart-thumping adventure and dire risks than the first book, readers who were thrilled by the wonderfully crafted Robin Hood’s Dawn will be more than ecstatic over Robin Hood’s Widow.
Marian takes center stage as she leads Robin Hood’s band of merry outlaws through a tumultuous England in the wake of King Richard’s extended absence. Plots close in as thick as Sherwood Forest’s ...more

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I read the first book in this trilogy and the sequel did not disappoint. The novel begins with Marian traveling back from the Holy land with Much and Alan-a-Dale to avenge the death of her husband Robin by Guy of Gisbourn. Unbeknownst to Marian and all of the characters, Robin is alive! The King is keeping this fact from everyone except for a close group of his inner circle. Robin is sent on a mission to discover what treachery the Sheriff of Nottingham is up to a

Robin is back.
I enjoy a good Robin Hood story an this one hit the mark. It's not all about Robin. He is off fighting with the King . Everyone thinks he is dead. Even his Marian. She takes up his cause. She has so some hate for the sheriff and Guy. But there is more going on she doesn't know. This story has a different take on Robin Hood.I found it a great read. They are lies upon lies. There is truth ,love an hate. It was hard to put down. Ladies you did a excellent job with this trilogy, I'm lo ...more

I do love a Robin Hood adaptation, and this book exceeded my expectations. I enjoyed the first novel in the trilogy, but the second outing is even better.
Returning from the Holy Land a widow, after Guy of Gisborne killed her husband, Robin Hood, Marian is intent on revenge and takes to Sherwood Forest, leading a gang of outlaws against the evil Sheriff of Nottingham and everything he represents.

Dear Books Lovers,
thanks to the publisher I was able to read the sequel to Robin Hood's Dawn, a worthy sequel titled Robin Hood's Widow. The events pick up where they ended in the previous volume, continuing to follow the story of Robin, Much, Tuck, Marian and all the others.
Marian thinks Robin died in the holy land and will do anything to avenge his death. But as we all know, Robin is not actually dead and ...more
