While Sophia was gabbing, Esis did something weird. He waddled in front of me, puffed up his chest and fluffed his tail, expanding his ears and screaming.
“What the hell is he doing?” I asked, thinking he was gonna self-destruct. “Oh, it’s nothing,” Sophia said, petting him. “It’s just something kurbles do. I think it’s a mating call, though I don’t know why he’d be doing it now.”
I swear to the ancestors Esis was wiggling his eyebrows at me at a very suggestive way. I was gonna kill this little shit. Next thing I knew, he was gonna start tossing roses and singing a serenade.
