He moved to Los Angeles in the late 1990s in search of work within the film industry. Through perseverance, Geoff ended up as the assistant to Richard Donner, working on Conspiracy Theory and Lethal Weapon 4. During that time, he also began his comics career writing Stars and S.T.R.I.P.E. and JSA (co-written with David S. Goyer) for DC Comics. He worked with Richard Donner for four years, leaving the company to pursue writing full-time.

An oversized anniversary issue featuring some of the best writers to have handled the Flash as a monthly titles. Glaring omissions are the absences of both Mark Waid and Grant Morrison. Especially for Morrison since one of the stories included here featured Mirror Master, but not the Scottish version.
It would have worked better if it had more short stories instead of launching new threads for future storylines.

Like all the other collections for characters this features a bunch of stories by different writers/artist.
Let me just say I'm kind of really annoyed there was no Mark Waid writing Wally here. He basically defined the character and not even a single 20 page story? What the fuck DC? Really?
Anyway, let me talk about the good. Almost all of this is. My biggest surprise is Joshua's storyline here, or two. The first being the actual issue 750 which has to do with Paradox. And it's really good, gets you hyped, and the return of a old villain/hero is perfect. I also enjoyed Johns story of Captain Cold as well as Joshua Side B story which was fun and charming.
The Mark story was ok...but the art was atrocious IMO. I also didn't love Manupauls Flash story but never much did like his Flash or Barry from New 52.
Overall, it's a fun collection and got me hyped for the end of Williamson's run. A 3.5 out of 5 but I'll bump it to a 4.

I have been reading Williamson’s run on the Flash to date. This convinced me I need a break. Read because you want to not because you have to. It’s not you Mssrs Williamson, Wolfman and Johns, it’s me.

So, this was much better than Wonder Woman #750. Every story was enjoyable, and you didn't need to read the last 80 issues to understand what was happening since it's the START of a story instead of the end of one.

I really enjoyed this "extra-size spectacular"! The continuation of Williamson's thread with Paradox and Godspeed is really entertaining and exciting. I like how Iris has been putting together a story about Barry, so you get other people's experiences with and thoughts on The Flash. But, as she says, it leaves out the man to focus on the legend. I like that the other stories in this issue focus on Barry Allen, Wally, and Jay, the men, but they also focus on them as The Flash and why they are heroes and the different possibilities. As always, the multiverse stuff is a little convoluted to me. I like astrophysics and concepts of space and time and multiverses and dimensions and alternate realities, but I feel like DC always makes the concepts so murky. At least in the comics I've read and the shows I've watched. Still, each story was entertaining or even intriguing in its own way, and I overall recommend this book to The Flash fans.

I unfortunately didn't find much I enjoyed here, as someone who respects the Flash legacy (Flash of Two Worlds and Multiversal shenanigans) but doesnt care for the character or series.
This doesnt seem to be quite the jam session of the other milestone series like Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, or Green Lantern. I.e. Mark Waid nor any other top tier appears other than Johns and Wolfman (who have cute but "unessential" stories.

Lots of milestones in the DC Universe right now! This is the 750th issue of The Flash, and the character is still as strong as ever.
Highlights:
- The actual #750 issue catches readers up on what's been happening in recent Volume (which I don't need because I am caught up!) and then moves onto the start of something new. Picking up with the warning from Future Flash about Paradox, Barry is trying to move forward with his life with Iris. He's back as a CSI with Central City PD and she's writing an article about how The Flash has impacted the lives of everyone in the city, with lots of testimonies. In comes Godspeed and Barry rushes off to see what's wrong. It's a double cross, as he is led directly to Paradox, who demands they fight. (NEXT TIME!)
- A story of misunderstood purposes featuring Captain Cold
- A fun multiverse look at who would be The Flash if Barry wasn't.
- A crazy issue about defeating Mirror Master.
- A very nicely illustrated Jay Garrick story, seemingly will lead to more adventures with him in the pages of Flash. Very excited to see what's coming with him.
- A reprint of the Epilogue from Flash Forward. Wally West, now in the Mobius Chair, is trying to work out how to blend all the previous version of the DCU together. (NOTE: I looked this up and the event alluded to, Generation Zero, has been reworked into the pages of Death Metal, since DC's 5G event has been cancelled. Looking forward to seeing how they resolve the whole Wally thing.)
Been reading The Flash for many years now (since Brightest Day and Flashpoint). Not always perfect, but I've really enjoyed the book. I hope it continues to be one of DC's flagship titles.
Strong recommend.

The Flash #750 collects a number of stories in celebration of 750 issues of the Flash.
The Flash Age, Part One-This is part of the ongoing story and it's actually really good. It manages to pay tribute to the Flash as a character while also setting up the next story.
Geoff Johns' story, "Beer Run" is a humorous bit that finds Captain Cold just going out to get beer and finding himself in the middle of a punk robbing a convenience store. It's light and fun.
"Why You" finds Barry and Iris talking about why he should be the Flash. This one is decent albeit a bit of navel gazing.
"Flash of All Worlds" is a lore-filled tale finds the Flash battling Mirror Master.in a funhouse. Nice and it does pay tribute to a lot of different events in Flash history.
"At the Startling Line" is a Jay Garrick story, which is nice given the way he's been utterly robbed since the New 52.
"Flash Forward Epilogue" is a wrap up from the Flash Forward event and kind of an awkward inclusion.
Then we get a reprint of "Mystery of the Human Thunderbolt,' the first Flash story.
Overall, this does what it's supposed to do. While there are a few weaker stories, these 1000 and 750 issues are plays for fans and pay tribute to them. They're a weird mix of commercial efforts for collectors and works of love by creators from gone-by eras. While it's tie into current events in the comics takes up more issues than I'd prefer, when you add in the artwork and pin-up, this book does exactly what it needs to and is worth reading for Flash fans of all generations.

Collects Flash #750 and Showcase #4 (featuring Barry Allen's first appearance)
I read the single issue of #750 months ago, before I had fully caught up on Joshua Williamson's "Flash" run. On the other hand, I have been trying to stay caught up on what is happening with Wally West these days, and I knew there was a short story in this issue that followed up on the "Flash Forward" miniseries, so that is the main reason that I wanted to read this issue back then.
I marked this collection as just finished today because I had never read Showcase #4 before. I did skim it a bit, but I also read sections of it.
Final rating = 3.5 stars

Ha sido un libro chulo.
(CUIDADO, SPOILER) Me han gustado especialmente la primera historieta del Capitán Frío, y también la que Flash (Barry Allen) va a otros mundos paralelos a ver los otros Flashes y se pega una sorpresa cuando ve que Grodd es uno y Iris otro. Y también me ha gustado mucho la de Flash (Jay Garrick) que se enfrenta con DeVoe (el Pensador).
Me ha gustado bastante.

This is a mix of comics celebrating the Flash's 750th issue. I'm trying to catch up in the series and it totally confused me since it's a mix of issue from all throughout the Flash's different runs. I guess it's a good example of why it can be hard to get into comics. I did like the art and the fact that it showcased every Flash. That was great.

Since I haven't kept current with Flash, I'm still way back in volume 6 or 7 of Rebirth... I wasn't really ready for this.

A fun celebration of a mantle, with wonderful storytelling and beautiful artwork. Some issues needed a few more pages to breath, but as a milestone release, it's understandable that they are short and snappy.
