The Black Rifle War

A new American president is elected, the promise of gun control a significant plank of her campaign platform. Moving swiftly after taking the oath of the highest office in the land, she enacts a clever method of outlawing several types of common weapons. The courts are instantly overwhelmed while Congress remains in complete gridlock, disabled by infighting and party loyalty. Several states rise to resist, many declaring themselves sanctuary environments for the 2nd Amendment. All the while, empowered federal agents begin going door to door, confiscating weapon contraband and arresting owners. Violence erupts across the nation as the divide threatens to explode into a hot war.Best-selling author Joe Nobody’s epic novel follows the adventures of the Floyds, a Central Texas family who unwittingly become embroiled into the conflict. Their freedom threatened, their livelihood destroyed, and their way of life about to disappear forever, they become an icon of the resistance. As both sides continue to escalate, a second civil war seems inevitable. Dangerous lines are being drawn, millions of lives at risk as the death toll continues to rise. There is a solution however, a simple answer that would restore order and provide a workable compromise… if only it can be heard in time.

Joe Nobody (pen name for the author who wishes to keep his identity confidential) has provided systems, consulting and training for the U.S. Army, Department of Homeland Security, Office of Naval Research, United States Border Patrol as well as several private firms and government agencies which cannot be disclosed.
He is currently active in this area and for the security of his family and ongoing business, wishes to remain anonymous.

He has over 30 years of competitive shooting experience, including IPSC, NRA, and other related organizations. He has been a firearms instructor and consultant for over 30 years and holds the rights to a United States Patent for a firearms modification.

Joe initially became involved in helping private citizens "prepare" at the request of his students and clients. A conscientious instructor, he would always inquire as to why they wanted to learn certain skills or techniques and often the response was to prepare for more than just simple home invasion or self-defense. If you ask Joe what his greatest attribute is, he will tell you he is a "problem solver" and uses his formal education in Systems Engineering to this end.

"As the economy worsens, world tensions rise, and the modern media propagates bad news faster than ever before, more and more people want to prepare. I wrote HOLDING because it allows me to reach more of the good folks who are concerned about their security. I want them to sleep better at night knowing they have a plan of defense should the 'Event' ever occur."

Joe Nobody is a very good writer, I loved this book it takes what is in the headlines of todays papers and what many politicians have suggested or even tried to introduce legislation in regard to outlawing and confiscating what is commonly known as "Black guns" (semiautomatic rifles that look like military assault rifles but aren't). It starts out as a man wants to take his assault son skeet shooting but because of a new state law says you can only buy a maximum of 20 shells in a 30 day period. He gets caught up and was entrapped. Things go south quickly and with protests and people getting insulted. After a new president is elected, she issues an executive order for the confiscation of all black rifles. In the end it almost causes a 2nd Civil War, with a showdown in Texas. It is an engrossing story that I could not put down. It has scary possibilities for our future. Joe Nobody has another series called Holding Their Own (16 Books) that I will probably cave and buy. I really love the books on Joe Nobody and A. American they both talk about the abuses that could happen in this country if we aren't careful especially with the continued polarization of this country and imbeciles that are running this country. I will get off my soapbox. I highly recommend this book.

A very good read.

Mr. Joe Nobody has written a very entertaining book that has discussed a very important topic in our political discourse and actually come up with the perfect solution in the story. Unfortunately its a solution that an overreaching, power hungry Federal government will never embrace. Its a very good read. Enjoy.
