K. G. Fletcher’s stories always manage to bring a warm smile to my face. I know it’s my best choice when I want to read a comfort and emotional romance read.
Reid Macpherson - a Scottish rock star, and Nicky Sinclair- small town wedding planner, were lovely characters, down to earth, strong and heartwarming. Their journey was wonderful and heartfelt. Their connection might have been insta yet the development was very good.
4.5 stars - This was, hands down, the best book in the series! It was sweet, cute, and steamy up until 80% into it when it turned highly emotional. Like ugly crying emotional. Oh my...! Blubbering, that's what I was.
Reid "Mac" Macpherson and Nicky Sinclair have a chance encounter that turns both of their lives on their axes. I loved the characters and how they connected. I also loved the support that each had all around them that continually pushed them together.
I listened to Kelly, the author, take the mic in the audio of this fourth installment to the Reigning Hearts series. Even though Chris and Fiona, from book three, make numerous appearances in this book, it can definitely be read as a standalone.
As for Kelly's narrating? She took on some additional accents and did a pretty good job with them. 😊 I do wish she were able to be joined by a male counterpart but I understand it's not always possible. That doesn't make me yearn for it any less. What can I say? My ears like to be spoiled, along with my brain. 😘🤷🏻♀️
The Romancelandia equivalent of watching paint dry. There is NO conflict in this book. None. Nicky the Wedding Planner meets Reid the up-and-coming Scottish rock star at her BFF's pub in upstate New York. They spend time together in her home town. They spend time together in New York City. Tragedy strikes at 70% - they're apart for 2 weeks - then they reunite and live happily-ever-after, the end.
In between all this tedium you get to read Reid's stereotypical Scottish brogue complete with "aye" "ye" "yer" "bonny" "lass" and swear to gods "wee dram."
I'll See You Again was a sweet, beautiful story with some heartache! I loved Nicky & Mac my heart flutter so many times for these two then l needed the tissues at times for their journey! A must read!
This rock star romance grabbed my attention from the very first page with a storyline that was well written and characters that were so well detailed that Mac and Nicky kept me totally enthralled as I turned each and every page until the very end!
They meet when she helps her friend at the bar. She is a wedding planner. He is a musician. He is from Scotland. He is in a band and he is famous. She is just a girl who he has feelings for her. You will need tissues while reading this book. It was so awesome
I'll See You Again: A Scottish rock star, standalone opposites-attract romance (Reigning Hearts Book 4) by K.G. Fletcher
5 ++++++ Stars
I'm not even sure what else I can say about this author… She has a way with her words that grab me at the beginning of every book she writes and I find myself so invested in her characters and even her descriptions of the surroundings make me feel as though I have transported right there. Cold Creek is my favorite and I so so so want to live there. I'm so thankful we got one more story in Cold Creek and still got a little of the magic the town gave me in A Sun so Bright with Fiona and Chris still being present.
*sigh*
Mac and Nicky… I met Nicky in A Sun So Bright also and hoped she would get her own story and holy moly what a story it was. I love everything this author does but I must say I think this one just might be my favorite, it all started with me singing the dedication...i was lost in the story before reading the first word. I love Scotland and everything that implies, so Mac was an instant love. The emotions this book brought out were both awesome and heartbreaking and I found myself reading at times with tears I didn't even know were falling. I also laughed out loud at one of the scenes totally imagining it in my mind, scared to death that that one would come back to haunt them later, not realizing there was something much bigger at play.
The connection in this book between Mac and Nicky was instant in a way that made me feel like it could happen that way, it didn't feel rushed, it felt real. A Lot transpires, can this young relationship stand a chance?
Read anything and everything you can from this author… This series is a definite must read for me and will also be sitting on my bookshelf in the very near future!
When I read K.G. Fletcher's "A Sun So Bright" the 3rd book in her Reigning Hearts series, I was left needing Nicky's story. A story, that according to the author, she never planned to write. Well, I'm so happy K.G listened to her fans, because I wasn't the only one who demanded this story be written.
And she didn't disappoint. This book had everything I love in a romance novel. Nicky is the best friend you wish you had. Mac is the swoon worthy, hunky rockstar you idolized and dreamed of one day marrying. The author ticked off my many boxes, including adding the hot Scottish hero. I'm a huge Outlander fan so I was thrilled when the author took us to Scotland for section in the book.
I also loved the fact that we reunited with Fiona and Chris! What a treat that was, especially since we were given a special peek into their happily ever after-after. It's great when characters from other books make appearances.
And it wouldn't be a K.G Fletcher romance if she didn't make you cry like a baby. I don't know how she does it, but she always manages to tug at my heart strings. Hard. I was literally sobbing toward the end of the book. What happened to Mac tore me up. I didn't know how she could possibly pick up the pieces of my broken heart, but leave to her to give you the perfect rockstar ending.
So...what about Amber?! Of course I'm going to demand her story now. Can she get her own rockstar happily ever after?
100% recommend this quick romance to anyone who loves a rockstar, contemporary romance with some steam and a heart warming HEA. K.G.'s writing is lyrical and her descriptions put you right in the middle of setting. You feel like you're walking along with these real-life characters.
I'll See You Again: A Scottish rock star, standalone opposites-attract romance (Reigning Hearts Book 4) By K.G. Fletcher 5 out of 5 stars
I loved reading the book I'll See You Again: A Scottish rock star, standalone opposites-attract romance (Reigning Hearts Book 4) by K.G. Fletcher. It is a romantic story that had me believing in love at first sight and soul mates. I loved reading about the characters of Nicky Sinclair and Reid Macpherson. Nicky is a successful businesswoman who plans amazing weddings. She is intelligent, strong, and independent. She can’t deny her attraction to Reid from the first time that they meet. Reid is a world-famous singer who loves music and the band that he plays with. He can’t understand his intense feelings for Nicky. They have an intense chemistry and attraction between them. Will they get a HEA? Read this book to find out. This is a story that had my emotions going up and down the entire time I was reading. I found myself caring a lot about what happens between Nicky and Reid. I wanted them to find happiness. The bantering and interactions between them run from lighthearted to very intense. There are romantic moments that will make the temperature in the room rise. Other additional characters also interact with Nicky and Reid and I loved reading about the part that they play in the book. Don’t miss out on a story that has swoon-worthy moments. I was not able to put it down until the final page. I highly recommend reading it.
As a fan of K.G. Fletcher’s books I was looking forward to reading this one and I was not disappointed. I loved this opposites attract romance with a rock star twist. Although part of Fletcher’s ‘Reigning Hearts’ series each book can be read as a standalone story. As usual Fletcher took me on an emotional rollercoaster whilst reading this novel and as usual I was hooked from page one. I found myself fully immersed in Nicky and Reid’s love story and literally could not put the book down. I also found myself still thinking about the characters long after I had finished the book, which is always a sign of a great book to me. When famous Scottish musician, Reid Macpherson who is on the brink of stardom meets wedding planner Nicky Sinclair in a local bar in a small town their mutual attraction is instant and their chemistry sizzled off the page. However, Nicky does not know who Reid is until he invites her to New York where his first world tour kicks off. Just as the couple are exploring their connection, Nicky receives terrifying news and then finds herself in the headlines. With their romance all over the airwaves, Nicky worries that Mac will return to Scotland and forget her and Mac worries that he will loose his voice if he looses Nicky. No spoilers, as I recommend you read this wonderfully written romance, however I was cheering them on to their happy ever after.
KG Fletcher has stolen my heart when it comes to her romance novels long ago, but this one sealed fate as my favorite go to feel good romance. Fletcher writes with music as a heavy backdrop in a lot of her novels, a lot of my fav ones, but this always seems to suck me into the story that is much deeper and feels so incredibly connected to the characters and their emotions. Like, holy cow do I feel as if these are real life people that I want to visit and give a hug and share a drink or two with. I fall so hard for these characters and, I’ll See You Again, is no exception to the rule. I must admit I was already sold on Nicky though from the previous books in this series, which I would recommend that you get those as well even though this can be read on its own. I loved Nicky and Mac sweetened the deal. These two will take you on a roller coaster of emotions as you sometimes laugh, cry, or feel mad frustration. I couldn’t put this one down and read it in one sitting. I think this is one series of books that needs to have a special spot on my bookshelf at home so I can devour them over and over again. I can’t wait to see what we will get next from KG Fletcher!
This is the fourth book in this series which I enjoyed just as much as the previous books in this series. This series can bread as a stand alone but I highly recommend reading all books in this series. This author continues to impress me by her attention to details that make me feel as if I am part of the story. This book is no different. It is a fast paced story that is engaging and the characters make the story easy to read. I enjoyed being pulled in right from the beginning and kept me turning pages fast. This is Nicky and Mac’s story. Nicky dreams of a true love. Mac is a famous singer who is on the edge of stardom. Once he meets Nicky he is stricken with love instantly. What will happen when he invites her to his kickoff tour? When Nicky hits the headlines will it change things for them? What will fate have in store for them? This is a great romance story that has connectable characters that make the story pop. I highly recommend this book.
This is book 4 in the Reigning Hearts series (can be read as a stand alone) and an unexpected romance read for our main characters Nikki and Mac. Nikki, we've been introduced to before in previous reads is the hometown girl who everyone loves. Mac is a famous Scottish rocker who is on the fast track to becoming the next biggest star. It's love at first sight for these two and when everything is going perfectly unimaginable tragedy strikes. Will these two be able to overcome?!? I loved these characters, especially Mac who comes across humble with the same doubts and struggles as any other and then to add the struggles of fame on top - his character handles it all with grace. LOVE him! Nikki is a beautiful person inside and out and is eager to make others happy - as well as being fiercely protective of those she loves - a strong character who is humanized by the same doubts so many of us face. Great characters, a sweet storyline with deep emotional pulls, good narration (love the accents) and some steamy scenes make this a beautifully well rounded romance!
This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review. *this review is based on the audio version of this read
I adore KG Fletcher books and I do believe this is my new favorite! I was very quickly lost in Nicky and Reid's story. Nicky has a successful business and thanks to her friend, she meets up and coming rock star, Reid Macpherson. Their lives were on completely different paths but there was something about them. They just clicked. Reid was about to start his world tour and wasn't looking for a woman. Nicky had her business and wasn't one worried about her singledom. I liked getting glimpses of Fiona and Chris as well. I liked the friends and family surrounding this couple and when times got tough, they had support. I liked the chemistry between them, the realness they had and the love and respect they had for one another. I enjoyed the way their story evolved and I couldn't put this book down. I can't recommend this book enough! Be sure not to let it pass you by.
After reading the entire Reigning Hearts series, I was happy to see that Nicky got her HEA. She originally shows up in book 3, A Sun So Bright, and I wasn't sure I liked her at first. But she grew on me to the point that I was so happy to see that KG decided to give her a story. And what a story it was!
Mac was all a girl could hope for in a rock star fairy tale: hot, kind, creative, talented with his hands (with a guitar, thank you very much! lol). Nicky is smart and talented in her own right as a wedding planner. And while she believes in HEA for others, she hasn't had that luck herself. With Mac? It's easy for a girl to fall for all the charm that only a Scotsman can deliver.
As usual, the heartstrings were pulled really hard in the latter part of the book. I think my heart is still recovering from the angst it went through reading this. It was SO GOOD! I felt all the emotions that each of them went through. It's one of the reasons I love KG's storytelling so much.
I'm looking forward to seeing what this wonderfully talented author has up next! I'll be waiting for it!
I’ll See You Again: A Scottish Rock Star, standalone apooposites-attract romance by K.G. Fletcher is the fourth book in the Reigning Hearts series. This book is every bit as good as the previous books with strong characters and a brilliant story line. I always love to pick up a book that has characters in from Scotland or England, as being from the UK myself I always tend to feel connected to them that much quicker. Nicky and Mac were one of those couples that instantly you can’t help but love. They were both interesting already and their meeting just added to the depth you could already feel with them. I liked the story that went with these two. It felt like there was more to it than just what you got at face value, which for me is what a book should be like. I was engaged with the story from the word go and could have definitely kept reading long after I put the book down. This is yet another amazing book by an author who is quickly becoming one of my favourites.
KG Fletcher has a way of telling a story that makes you feel as if you are a part of the book.
This book focuses on Nicky and Mac. Nicky's business revolves around finding that happy ever after...even if she hasn't found hers yet. Mac is getting ready to head out on tour with his band, but makes a stop in a small town to try out a new single before they hit the road. Nicky and Mac's connection is immediate and strong...even though she doesn't know who he really is. But, when headlines break, can their new relationship weather the storm? Or were they meant to only be temporary? You have to read the book to find out how this goes down!
I loved both Nicky and Mac's characters. I felt a boatload of feelings right along with them...even cried a time or two. However, I was captivated by the support of all the other characters in the book. I loved this story and will definitely be checking out future books!
I’ll See You Again is a story that shows us that love at first sight is possible, that sometimes the heart and soul just know. This is a story that feels at times like a summer breeze but you can also sense the impending storm that is on the horizon. Mac and Nicky’s story is fun, flirty, passionate and emotional. Two characters that have you feeling the chemistry that bubbles between them. A story of taking chances, making promises, heartache and love. Their journey was one that will steal your heart.
I have read multiple books by this author and I have truly enjoyed them all….. I had a little trouble getting into I’ll See You Again, in the beginning. The Scottish brogue had me confused for a minute….. once I got it, boy did I get it. I absolutely feel head over heels in love with Mac and Nicky!! Their romance and chemistry was one I loved reading. My heart did break as I read a certain part, so be prepared and have tissues nearby. You know it is a great book when you are finished and you still want the story to go on and continue. Once again, Ms. Fletcher did not disappoint and I can not wait for more!!!!
This is a great series. Even though you can read this as a standalone, you'll enjoy the story of Chris and Fiona in the 3rd book. I didn't think I could experience the heartbreak similar that Ginger did in book 2, but I was wrong. When he lost his friends, I cried. Nicky was so supportive and caring. They hadn't been together long but they were destined to be together. It was true love at first sight.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
These two are just a wonderful story. Their story is filled with angst, shining love and happiness. Each of these characters really struggled and tried to hang onto their faith in each other. Reid is the sweetest and kindest guy...I would never peg him for a rockstar. The things he says and Wait.....HOW he says them...just make my heart flutter. Did I mention he is Scottish?!? I didn’t? Well that makes all the difference! I seriously think this guy can do no wrong. Nicky Sinclair has the love and support of her family. She built a wonderful business. Has wonderful friends (yes Amber I am talking about you).
Overall this is a lovely story that will make your heart sing and your stomach clench. I love reading this author. She makes these characters come to life.
This story is the fourth book in the Reigning Hearts series but it is a stand-alone book. I recommend all of the books. The author has a descriptive language that makes the storyboard in your mind’s eye. I can see all the details and I can feel everything as Nicky did in the story. There is a love story that forms between Nicky and Reid. Reid, being a singer that is on the fast track to stardom and Nicky is a wedding planner who loves the idea of being in love and luxuriously cakes. Will Nicky find her true love? Will Reid become a rock star? Or will Nicky and Reid become a couple? I highly recommend this story to find out the answers to these questions and more?
I received this book free and i am voluntarily doing a review. I got so in to this book it was 3am be4 i knew it. The authors writing style will draw you in from Book 1. Which I recommend reading(also bk2) the characters just come to life.
I'll See You Again: A Scottish rock star, standalone opposites-attract romance (Reigning Hearts Book 4) by K.G. Fletcher was such an emotional read. I loved the romance, Nicky and Mac were wonderful. My soul was grabbed and I could not put the book down. The pacing and plot was also very well done to grab you. I cannot wait to read what's next!
I happened to love KG Fletcher as an author from the way she writes love stories, draws me in and keeps my attention with the characters she writes about. This book is no exception: Love is tested between these two but as usual their own inner emotions keep them apart but there was so much more keeping them together. This book shows you more than anything that love is risky, it can be tight knit, tested but love always pulls through.
There should be more stars available to rate this one!!! I couldn’t stop the tears anymore than I could stop the smiles!!! I literally felt the love of Mac and Nicky this was written with. TOTALLY worth reading!!
I received a free review copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
I'll See You Again (Reigning Hearts, #4) by K.G. Fletcher was a great 5 star read. I was pulled right in with this great story. My emotions were all over the place.
I was excited to get Nicky’s story. Nicky is a wedding planner and Mac (Reid) is a famous rockstar. When these two meet there are instant sparks and the chemistry comes right off the pages. Mac invites Nicky to New York for the band's world tour kick off. When things take a twist and Nicky finds herself in the headlines
Will the headlines cause Mac to leave Nicky or will Mac lose NIcky?
Overall I really enjoyed this read. We get some steamy moments and the bantering was great. All of the secondary characters were great, it was like a reunion with some of them. This book can be read as a stand alone. Rock star romance is one of my favorite genres, I really enjoyed this book and this series. If you're looking for a great series 1-click and get started today..
*****5 stars***** I’ll See You Again (Reigning Hearts Book #4) by K.G. Fletcher
K.G. Fletcher is one of my new favorite authors. This rock star themed romance was very entertaining. The story pulled me in and had me wishing for a happily ever after. This story wasn’t all rock n roll. It had a sweet love filled story with a side of heartache. Nicky & Mac were a wonderful couple that I was definitely rooting for. Each of these books in the Reigning Hearts series can be read as a stand-alone, but if you are like me, you’ll end up wanting to read them all regardless. The characters are easy to connect with and the writing is smooth and easy and will have you not wanting to stop until the story is over.
