Now, he's sharing a guest room with Ajay Sunagar, who looks as tasty as the pastries he bakes, and Adrian desperately wants ...more

I so enjoyed this entire series. I really don’t want this to be the last one. Although they are all stand alone books, it’s so nice to keep visiting the guys from previous books. So I recommend reading them in order.

I love the way Brigham Vaughn writes. Even though she lets you know what the characters are thinking it’s interspersed with the action so you don’t become boughed down. Her stories are full of romance and just enough sex to tantalize but not overwhelm.

Cute premise but I was fairly bored with it. Lots of small chat and not enough romancing.

This was a sweet and adorable story. And made me hungry! Lol.
I enjoyed this entertaining book, and maybe I'll look up to this author's other books.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I wasn't sure how the author was going to be able to pull off Adrian's redemption with Jay, Jay had no reason to forgive him after Adrian ghosted him the way he did, but the she really pulled it off and made it believable.

The forgiveness didn't come easy, and Adrian had to earn it, but I appreciated the precise level of angst that made the story arc work.

Adrian Cobb and Jay (Ajay) Sunagar are truly a refreshing couple to read about.

Both enter into the situation as this being a weekend romp and nothing more. By the end of that weekend, both could see themselves in a different.

In comes the burden of poor communication...

To take a step back to the beginning, Adrian and jay meet at a bar during baking event. Adrian is newly separated and Jay is single. Jay being much more forward than Adrian, make initiations that Adrian never refuses.

This book has sat in my Kindle library for months and unfortunately went unread. Then as February started I was looking for Valentine's Day reads when I remembered The Cupcake Conundrum and decided it was the perfect time to give it a go. I was not disappointed, not that I thought I would because Brigham Vaughn has yet to write a story I didn't like.

The Cupcake Conundrum is another sweet, fun, delightful holiday read for a holiday, that despite the romance genre, gets rarely used for a setting.

Never give up, never surrender to your fears. Adrian is a divorcee and certified master baker who owns his own shop, King of Tarts. Jay is head pastry chef at a 5 star boutique hotel, The Kensington. They meet in a bar while they are in NYC at a baker's convention. There was a spark and they spent the weekend together consumed by flames of pure raw sex. They tentatively made promises based on all the new feels. Then Adrian ghosted Jay. A year later, Adrian is helping his brother, Seth move into ...more

Adrian is helping his brother move in with his fiancée when he gets the shock of his life. He never knew Seth's room mate was Jay. Jay was the man that Adrian had met at a cooking expo and had the most amazing weekend with him. It was the best weekend of his life and they promised to stay in touch. But Adrian had second and third thoughts as he was honest about something with Jay and he didnt know how he would react. Adrian had been married and they had a child but it ended i

Cute and sweet second chance romance

One of my favorite authors so picking up her new book was not a hardship.
I absolutely loved Adrian and Jay.
A chance meeting leads to a sizzling weekend encounter.
Both men seem to be eagerly looking forward to the possibility of more, only Adrian disappears leaving Jay hurt and resentful.
Time passes and in an strange twist of fate, they happen to meet again and find they have friends and family in common.
Adrian sees Jay as the one that got away and it's obvious

This book is part of a series but can be read as a stand alone. I have not read the previous book "yet" but I plan to as soon as I can. I really enjoyed this book and can not wait to read more. It was such an easy going read about 2nd chances. Loved Adrian and Jay.

This was a great story line. Adrian finds himself in New York, helping his brother move in with his Fiance and meets one of his roommates, not realizing that one of them was someone that he ghosted from his past. Jay is sho

Adrian and Jay have an immediate connection when they meet at a baking conference, and that's why it hurts so much more when Adrian ghosts Jay once he returns home and the reality of his family and business crash into him. Jump forward one year and when Adrian is helping out his brother move in with his fiance, who does he run into but the guy he ghosted. Jay is holding on to a lot of anger and resentment towards Adrian and, although that spark is still obviously there, Adrian feels rather hopel ...more

Adrian and Jay met for the first time at a baking conference in New York the previous year. The two of them truly enjoyed each other’s company and agreed to continue the relationship once they returned home. But Adrian, back in his home environment, got uncomfortable and just took the easy way out by “ghosting” Jay.

When Adrian helps his brother move, he runs into Jay again! Jay is still full of anger and hurt over the way Adrian treated him and does not seem willing to give Adrian a chance to do

To my ratings:
My old 3* is now a 3,5* and clicked with a 4* but in review marked as 3,5*:

5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow-Away-book like ‘Jesse's Smile’ or ‘Joey’ from Angelique Jurd, ‘Save the at he kids’ series
from EM Leya, ‘Love’s Tethered Heart’ from C.L. Etta or ‘Liberty’ from Seth King),
it's like an A+

4* - very good and will be often reread and is a WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises (like most of Andrew Grey books)

Adrian and Jay meet cute at a bar when both are attending an expo in Brooklyn. They hit it off and then hit the sheets and then Adrian hit the road which left Jay feeling a bit hurt because they really connected. Then they meet again when it turns out that Jay is Adrian's brother's roommate and they are both helping his brother Seth move. The spark is still there but Jay is not ready to forgive and forget right away. Adrian realizes that he let something good get away and he wants to try again. ...more

I thoroughly enjoyed this book by Brigham. The characters were were funny and still had some sharp edges.

Told in Adrian’s point of view, we learn how he ghosted Jay and why he might have done it.
They meet up again at the beautiful Williamsville Inn that Adrian’s brother’s fiancé owns.
Through their week long visit, Adrian does his best to prove to Jay what he feels.
It takes a few times but the affection they feel for one another blossoms as they find their common ground again

I love second chances...

I really love second chance romances and this one didn't disappoint. Jay and Adrian's story had some complicated areas and a lot of good romantic feels in others. I really loved how Seth and Erik was incorporated in the story from the last book. Seth and Adrian being brothers relationship was great in this story and the connection Seth had with Jay was surprising. Jay's attitude towards Adrian's betrayal felt so real and I felt his hurt and anger. I really felt Adrian rem

The Cupcake Conundrum is a wonderfully written, sweet, second chances story about Adrian and Jay and I couldn't put it down. This was a emotional roller coaster of back and forth will they won't they. Adrian and Jay met at a baking conference and had an instant connection. But than reality stepped in and Adrian had gotten back to his life and that didn't seem to include Jay. But then Adrian and Jay connected again as they were both helping Adrian's bother Seth move, but that didn't seem like the ...more

This is a well written book with strong characters and a realistic story line. The author takes you on an emotional journey with this sweet second chance romance between Adrian and Jay. She does a great job bringing out all the feels as they work towards gaining trust and love in one another as they work towards their future. The secondary characters help to move the story , especially Adrian's children.Molly and Josh. Her scenes are described in detail and the story flows fluidly. I enjoyed rea ...more

It started as a hook-up during a conference, but by the end of that weekend both Jay and Adrian believed it was much more. But coming home, Adrian, who is co-parenting his two children with his ex-wife, gets cold feet and ghosts Jay.
Almost exactly one year later Adrian helps his brother move from NY to Philadelphia, and meets Jay again, who was his brother's room mate. Both help with the move and Adrian tries to repair the damage, but it takes a third run for them to get together.

Brigham Vaughn drops us in a vat of ice in The Cupcake Conundrum. I have to admit that I was laughing during this scene because I have driven that trip and after moving someone’s stuff Adrian had to be tired and needed someone to talk with to keep him awake. Then stuck in an apartment with someone who will not talk to you? Awk-ward!

Plus the story is very funny. There are scenes that are very hot and some that are emotionally intense. Love can be that way and Vaughn puts Adrian and Jay through th

I loved The Cupcake Conundrum, of course it helps that I love books with baking in them and this had a pastry chef and master baker. Just my dream. I loved Adrian and Jay. They were coming from different perspectives but both loved baking. I think it was a great second meet-cute, the original meet was just plain hot, but the second one was definitely unexpected. I liked that trust had to be built and wasn’t easy. I thought adding Seth and Erik from Snowstorms and Second Chances was so good. I lo ...more

I really enjoyed this book; it was so sweet it made me crave cupcakes!
This is a sweet second chances story, where Adrian & Jay reconnect a year after having met and spent an amazing weekend together and after Adrian had subsequently ghosted Jay. Jay is understandably pissed and doesn't want anything to do with Adrian, but their attraction and connection is too strong to fight it so in the end they will cave.
A cute story about different backgrounds and places in live and how they can be merged.

First let me say that I find it really hard to like someone who thinks it's okay to ghost someone they claimed to have had such an intimate time with. They connected at a certain level that went beyond just the regular one night stand expectation. As a result, it took me a bit to feel the characters. At one point I liked one more than other, but then I was finally able to fully vibe with their relationship and the progression of it. It was a cute read, and it is hard not to like her style of wri ...more

A great addition to the series. This was a pretty good sweet read. Adrian and Jay were good together. Their first meeting was off the chain and Adrian messed that up. I really don't want to give anything away, but Adrian was scared and did not contact Jay after their first meeting. They meet up a year later and it takes a bit for Jay to come around. This was a cute story and I loved how previous characters were mentioned from other books in the series. I totally loved this book.

Adrian a certified Master Baker and Jay a pastry chef (a very tasty combo) meet at a Baking Expo in NY and hit it off. The make plans to meet up but life and choices interfere. A yearish later they come back together (unknowingly ) to help move Adrian's brother. There story has steamy romance, hurt feelings and chance encounters. Constantly keeping you guess at the twists and turns. Can they find love or will they let the hurt keep them apart. Fabulous book.

A sweet love story that feeds the soul. The characters, though they have a bit of a rough start, find themselves brought back together and their road is engagingly entertaining. Watching them navigate the path to reconnection was a pleasure. The heroes of this story were enjoyable to meet and It was a delight to watch their love story unfold.
