Love Lessons in Good Hope focuses on Charlotte, who moved back to town so that she could work with Marigold at the hair salon. Charlotte is ambitious, but also feels her biological clock ticking. She wants a child, but doesn't want to have to share decisions for that child with a man, so she is planning on saving money and doing IVF. But Fate has other plans, as Charlotte becomes unexpectedly pregnant and learns to both trust and share life with Adam and the people in Good Hope.

I'd recommend this book as with all the Good Hope books - it is a nice feel-good romance.

Charlotte has returned to Good Hope after being gone for a time. The last time she was in town, she had a brief encounter with Adam.

Now she has returned, she is about to become a partner in a salon and spa. Her life is going according to plan. The other and most important part of her plan is to use artificial insemination in order to have a baby.

The baby will be all hers. Since her divorce, Charlotte does not need a man in her life for anything.

After another brief encounter with Adam, she finds she is pregnant. She is excited, but very unsure about how she will be able to work out any kind of relationship with Adam. She would prefer that he have not interest in the coming child.

Adam is not the kind of man to ignore a child of his.

Charlotte was hard for me to like for a good portion of the story. She saw the small town of Good Hope as “less than”. She is a big city girl and don’t you forget it. She also has no qualms about being less than honest with people. She silently sneers at many of the town’s traditions.

For Charlotte there is not much of importance within the people or the town as long as her plans work out as she wants.

Eventually, Charlotte starts to take a long look at the people who welcomed her and have treated her as part of the town.

Part of the change in her outlook is because of Adam. He is a kind and compassionate man. He is unlike most of the men she has known. He is neither selfish nor self – involved. He is intelligent, passionate about his organic farm and a loving and caring son to his step-father. His life is fulfilled by his work and his relationships with the people around him. Adam does not ignore Charlotte’s feelings.

Slowly, Charlotte realizes that life is not all black and white. She learns about warmth and caring and being valued for who you are as a person.

I have been a fan of Good Hope and the stories about the town for quite some time.

This story is a wonderful chapter in the series. The town works its magic and teaches Charlotte how to look at the world from a new perspective. I love the town of Good Hope.

If you have not read any of the Good Hope stories, I would suggest you give them a look. It is the kind of place most people want to live for all their life. The people who live there will welcome you with open arms.

I received this book from the author in the hope I would write an honest review. All the opinions in the review are completely my own.

Good Hope is my favorite place to be and this book is no exception to that rule. I found it to be a bit different than past stories which is always interesting. Lessons is a good description for the title as both Charlotte and Adam need to learn love does not always hurt. Love is fragile, love can be painful, love can destroy trust and make a person willing to live without it rather than chance that pain. What both Charlotte and Adam learn is love is a part of even a broken heart. Once you have loved you can , with the right person, love again.
Fortunately for this great couple the people of Good Hope will teach them love is really everything.
It teaches them to love they neighbor, to love thyself and most of all to give love to those who need it and it will bring love to your own heart. Watching this couple grow was a wonderful experience. I also enjoy the interaction with previous town folk, their traditions and quirks. all in all an enjoyable new book. I was given an ARC from the publisher and am giving my honest review. I love the book, wish I had my own Adam and his father Stan too. I recommend you read it.

Gladys Bertholf is the matriarch of Good Hope and is the town’s matchmaker and she’s determined to find a match for Charlotte McCray. At first, I wasn’t too sure about Adam Vogele, Gladys’ choice for Charlotte. I wondered if a career oriented city girl find love with an unpretentious farmer. Cindy Kirk surprised me with a fabulous, heart felt story for this couple.
Charlotte McCray is at a crossroads both personally and professionally. An exciting business opportunity motivated Charlotte to return to Good Hope. Charlotte and Marigold Rallis have formed a partnership. They are opening a salon and day spa in Good Hope. Charlotte is conflicted; she wants her new business to succeed but longs for a child of her own.
At first glance, Adam Vogele and Charlotte appear to be total opposites. Adam and his father own an organic farm. A well-respected member of the Good Hope community, Adam is unpretentious, passionate about organic farming and enjoys a warm relationship with his father.
Adam and Charlotte share a passionate Fourth of July and conceive a child. The conflict between Charlotte and Adam was spot on. Charlotte wanted to raise the baby by herself while Adam wants to be his child’s father. Both characters had very different childhoods and these experiences shaped their opinions. Charlotte’s parents divorced and had second families—she was an outsider. Although Adam was raised by his step father Stan, he never knew his biological father.
Adam’s father Stan was one of my favorite characters in this story. He has known a great love and he encourages Adam to put family first and explore his own feelings for Charlotte. I adored Adam because he put his unborn child first; he wants his child to know that he is loved by both parents. And Adam truly understood that Charlotte’s past experiences made it hard for her to trust anyone. He gave Charlotte space and time to sort through her feelings.
Love Lessons in Good Hope has all the feels. Cindy Kirk blends the importance of family and friendship in this emotional story. At first glance, Charlotte and Adam may appear to be very different people. Loved the couple’s honest conversations as their relationship changed. Fin Rakes and Charlotte have an important talk about friendship. Charlotte realizes that she needs to let people in—to share her feelings—and this changes her attitude towards Adam and Good Hope. She realizes she wants her child, a family and friends. I loved that Charlotte realized that friendship and family could not be taken for granted—an important love lesson¬-¬--and Adam was the one who held her heart.
If you are looking for a feel good read that’s about love, friendship and babies—then Love Lessons in Good Hope is the perfect book for you!

Charlotte McCray, who was a hairdresser, came back to Good Hope to partner with Marigold Rallis at their business, Marigold’s Golden Door Salon and Day Spa. Charlotte who had previously owned a salon in California that had not done well, agreed to come back and give the small town of Good Hope a try that she knew would be a big adjustment. She was aware that building connections in a small town was essential for their business.

Enter Adam Vogile, organic farmer, who Charlotte hooked up with in her previous stay in Good Hope. He wasn’t her type but she had a strong attraction to this man. This resulted in a repeat tryst on the 4th of July and gave her more than she had planned for.

Charlotte wanted a baby but she didn’t want a man. She had tried two IVF Treatments that failed and wiped her out financially. Her attitudes were affected by an uninterested father and a bad marriage. When she found herself pregnant, she did not want Adam to have a say in the raising of their child. I really liked the man that Adam was. His stepfather was who he looked up to and wanted to model in his parenting.

Charlotte and Adam’s pasts made it hard to break down their preconceived ideas about relationships and parenting. Two very different personalities often don’t make a good match was Adam’s perception based on the marriage of his mother and stepfather, Stan, who were very different. Mutually, Charlotte and Adam decided for their baby’s sake that being friends needed to be the goal. As fate would have it, love perseveres and changes everything.

This is a light read that will give you all the good feels. Cindy is a favorite author of mine to escape with a happily ever after book and I would highly recommend this book. The Good Hope series is like going home to a place where you are loved and accepted. My kind of place!

Baby Fever has hit Good Hope!

This really is the town where all "good" happens (see what I did there?)...

This time around, hunky farmer Adam and city girl Charlotte rekindle their connection and not only does sparks fly, it literally becomes "and baby makes three!".

Charlotte is your typical city girl - she likes the finer things in life, and has always lived in a big city way. Adam is a farmer (swoon!) - he likes playing in the dirt and living simply and close to the land. On paper, this is an impossible match. But what have we learned, folks? NOTHING is impossible in Good Hope. Also, nothing is impossible when true love is involved.

First off, I loved that our main characters are not twenty somethings. They're older, they have had some living under their belts and now are ready to settle down. Well, Charlotte thinks she isnt ready but ... stranger things have happened. I loved all the snippets of Good Hope life, and of course, seeing Gladys and her merry band of matchmakers in action. I loved all the babies being born, growing up and getting bigger.

But mostly, I loved that this story united two people who have not had the best luck with family and parents, and gave them a family to call their own. In these uncertain times we live in, we need all the family, whether chosen or made, that we can hang on to.

As always, the book is well written and well paced. Cindy Kirk's books are never boring, always fun and always with lessons learned at the end of it. We may not always realize it, but we need room in our hearts for feel good moments like reading this book.

Love Lessons in Good Hope is the love story of Adam and Charlotte. Charlotte has been away from Good Hope for a while. However, she is now back in Good Hope permanently because she has become a business partner with Marigold at their salon/spa.
Charlotte is a typical city girl. She has a plan for her life and nothing is going to stop her. One part of her plan is to be artificially inseminated so she can have a baby of her own. She needs no man and doesn’t want anyone or anything to come between her and her dream child.
Charlotte and Adam end up have a brief encounter, which leads to Charlotte becoming pregnant. Although she is excited about the pregnancy, she is not excited that Adam is the father. This is not a part of her plan! She knows that Adam will want to have a part in the baby’s life, which doesn’t go with her plan at all.
Adam is an organic farmer who understands the importance of friends and family in Good Hope. His feelings toward Charlotte continue to grow and his light and love for community and people, in general, begin to crack the shell that Charlotte has so carefully built around her heart to protect her.
As the shell begins to break, Charlotte begins rethinking her goals in life and the definition of happiness. Will Charlotte find her happily ever after? You’ll have to read it to see it and believe it!

The Love Bug has Bitten!

Gladys & her crew are matchmaking again (or is it fate?)! It's been awhile since we've seen Charlotte in Good Hope, but she's decided to move back and go into business with Marigold.

We find out Charlotte is divorced, over 40 (gasp) & pursuing IVF.

Upon her return to Good Hope, Charlotte runs into Adam & we quickly learn they had a one-night stand a few years ago. The past repeats itself & we see fate repeatedly have Charlotte & Adam run into each other time & time again over the following days & weeks.

And baby makes…

Despite her attempts to push him away, Charlotte & Adam agree to give some sort of relationship a try. Adam doesn't want his child to grow up without a biological father like he did and all of the questions that have surrounded that fact his whole life.

Charlotte learns times change, dreams change & people change. She finds her heart opening up to the idea of truly having this baby with Adam.

Will Charlotte & Adam find their Happy Ever After as a man from Charlotte's past makes a reappearance?

A few of my other loves about this book: the relationship cards return (I love that these make an appearance throughout the series), I fell in love with Stan and then Molly…..because who doesn’t love a good dog 😊

I received an Advanced Reader Copy from the publisher and am voluntarily reviewing it. ‘It was that simple and that complicated’ is a quote from this book that I felt summed it up beautifully. Welcome back to Good Hope. Charlotte McCray has returned to Good Hope after trying to maintain a life and business in California. She and Marigold Bloom will partner to open a full service salon in Good Hope. Everything is going according to her plan to succeed in business and have a baby by herself. In that order. She doesn’t need a man telling her what to do. Been there, done that.

Adam Vogele is an organic farmer that lives a happy life with his dad, Stan and his dog, Molly. Everything is going great until a one night stand that he will never forget moves back in to town. That old flame shines bright and creates a situation that was not supposed to be possible. To make this situation look good, the two decide to make a go of a friendship/relationship. These two could not be more different but somehow find a way to fit together perfectly.

Readers are missing out if you have not read this series. Cindy has a way of ingraining readers into this town. You feel like you are walking down the streets with these characters. You know and love them. I will always come back for more Good Hope. You couldn’t keep me away from the beautiful series if you tried.

Love this book!

Love this book! This is about Charlotte and Adam. She is back in Good Hope to join Marigold in their business of hair and spa. On the night of the 4th of July, she and Adam slept together and six weeks later she suspects that she may be expecting and he insists on taking an exam. I love that this story is about a woman who not only never knew the true love of a father or mother, but was able to make it on her own. This also dealt with infertility and women aging before giving birth. She was determined to have a child on her own years before and was going to wait until the next year when she had sufficient money to do IVF, but with the one night with Adam and an old condom, she didn’t need to wait.

Adam is your gentleman who is also a farmer and a true man. He is determined to be in his child’s life even when Charlotte stated that she wanted to raise her child on her own with NO man telling her what to do. Thanks to Stan and everyone else in Good Hope, she is reconsidering it, but then there is this big offer, will she take it or what?

Cindy has done an awesome job with this book. I love that it deals with infertility and someone being strong willed and independent. This book also has Marigold and the whole family, which through me for a loop on her pregnancy.

I love returning to Good Hope. The whole feeling of community, friendship, family, and support is really uplifting. Who knew that Charlotte's surprising change in plans would affect so many people?

This book can be read as a standalone with no problem. I have read the previous books, and I vaguely remember both Charlotte and Adam's characters. They were not together, but that's all I remember. This fact took nothing away from the enjoyment of the book.

I wasn't sure if I was going to like Charlotte at first. I'm all honesty, she had to grow on me. I liked that Adam was was so insistent. I liked Adam from the beginning. That is not to say he didn't have his moment of reacting before thinking about the situation. I like that there is not a lot of angst in the Good Hope series. It does often touch on real life situations.

Adam and Charlotte's journey is interesting as I got to watch both of them open their hearts and minds to a completely new experience in their lives. This was romantic, sweet, full of family, and opening up to friendships. All resulting in an HEA for Adam and Charlotte.

I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

This novel, the story of Charlotte McCray and Adam Vogele, picks up right after the previous book, Baby Dreams in Good Hope. In this new novel, Charlotte has moved to Good Hope and gone into business with Marigold Rallis. Charlotte hooked up with Adam in a previous novel, and she remains attracted to Adam. Their one night stand leads to an unplanned pregnancy. Charlotte, in her early forties, would like to have a baby that she can raise herself. Her outlook is strongly affected by her experiences with disinterested parents and a horrible marriage to a controlling man. Adam, however, wants to be in the baby’s life. Can he convinced Charlotte he is a good guy, and worth getting involved with? Can Charlotte overcome her experiences and trust Adam?

Gladys is also present, both as herself conniving to get Charlotte and Adam together, and also as Madame Gitana, Fortune Teller, who makes predictions about the sex of the fetus. Can’t have a Good Hope novel without Gladys!

This novel is a great addition to the Good Hope universe, and well worth your time.

I enjoy every visit to Good Hope. The characters are beginning to feel like friends. Charlotte is determined to make her partnership in the salon a success. Her drive & desire gave her deciding she can’t have a relationship because it will distract her. After a one night stand with Adam causes complications, she has to begin to rethink her priorities & her beliefs.

Adam is an organic farmer working hard to diversify their farm & make profit in selling organic produce. He was attracted to Charlotte from the first time he saw her. He doesn’t want it to just be a one night stand but Charlotte is spooked. He’s determined to be there by her side whether she expects him to be or not. Can they find away to be together? Can he prove to her that her goals are the same as his?

This was another great story about the town of Good Hope & it’s residents. The residents are close as family & friends & each story brings an update to the couple from before. I enjoyed the fact that in this story, Adam wanted forever but Charlotte was holding back. I really liked the way he was able to slowly earn her trust. I can’t wait for the next Good Hope story!

Author Cindy Kirk has a knack for creating a unique storyline for each book in a series. She was very successful at doing this with Love Lessons in Good Hope. She took two minor characters that were mentioned in previous books, Charlotte McCray, who owns the Golden Door, a salon that competed with Marigold Bloom Rallis’ salon. (Now the women are merging their salons in what sounds like a place I would love to visit!). And Adam Vogele, a quiet farmer who owns and runs an organic cherry tree farm with his grandfather. Readers are given a lot of insights into the internal motivations and personal goals of both Charlotte and Adam. There’s also an on again – off again physical relationship which has surprising results. The book follows a realistic plot path and doesn’t get into unrealistic over-dramatization. On the lighter side, the senior group of matchmakers, led by Gladys Bertholf, is a bit off in their targeting which leads to some amusing twists. I highly recommend all of Cindy Kirk’s books including this book. I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from the publisher and am voluntarily reviewing it.

Welcome back to Good Hope!

The Relationship Cards are now in the hands of Adam, a organic farmer, and Charlotte, the new co-owner with Marigold of Marigold's Golden Door and Hair Salon. Charlotte, in her 40s, wants nothing more to be pregnant without the father involved. Her thoughts - my father was never involved, why should the child of mine be involved? After a July 4th full of fireworks with Adam, Charlotte finds herself pregnant with Adam's child. Adam wants to be involved with his child and wants to support Charlotte no matter what - whether they are friends, co-parents or more. Charlotte comes to see the importance of a father in a child's life, thanks to time with Jeremy and Fin, Marigold and Cade and Max and Prim.

It was great to be back in Good Hope. The characters are familiar and it feels like home. The next book is teased to us when Piper is given The Relationship Cards by Adam and Charlotte.

I was given an ARC from the publisher and am giving my honest review.

I always love going back to Good Hope and this chapter of the Good Hope story does not disappoint. I hadn't really noticed Charlotte before, but I soon warmed to the two lead characters, and it is always so wonderful to revisit the Bloom sisters and all the other Good Hope residents!

Charlotte and Adam don't have the start that they expected and Charlotte is unsure of what she really wants. Adam knows what he wants but will he get it? They both needed to learn that love is always the answer and that whilst love can cause pain and hurt, love with the right person can be perfect.

I always love Gladys and her match making and those relationship cards are just the best! We should know by now that Gladys knows everything and is always right! Watching this couple grow was simply wonderful and brought a tear to my eye.

I recommend you read this and if you haven't read about Good Hope before then you need to do that right now!!

Friendship to Love with Delightful Complications

A one night stand a year prior…another one-night stand…great chemistry between two who don’t want personal obligations but would love to be friends, and you have a formula for developing an explosive, in the best of ways, relationship. Throw in a new business for Charlotte and an expanding business for Adam that will take up time for each, and an unplanned pregnancy, and two lives will change.

Luckily, both agree to co-parent. But what does that mean? And how will they resolve working together as friends to take care of a blessed new life?

Stay tuned for a journey of self-discovery, team-work, a growing friendship, and town full of people who want to see this relationship turn to the love-match it is meant to be, a wonderful father-figure secondary character, and Kirk delivers another delightful, lively, and loving Good Hope tale that will surely leave you smiling…and waiting for the next book in the series.

Love Lessons in Good Hope by Cindy Kirk
"I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from the publisher and am voluntarily reviewing it."
I have been waiting for Adam’s book. I like the farmer very much. I did not like Charlotte the first ¾ of the book. I felt she looked at Adam as beneath her because he was a farmer. Was she forgetting that she was a hairdresser? I think she forgot her roots. I don’t look down on any professions. I was a waitress for 30 years to put food on my family’s table. I was looked down on by several people but I didn’t care. I was feeding my family. Honest work is something to be proud of. I felt Adam deserved someone better than Charlotte. Of course, she sees how wrong she is by the end of the book. Adam is a catch! Farmers are working hard to put food on our tables every day with no time off. Charlotte should have been proud of that and lucky to have such a man. Adam deserved better but Adam being Adam waited patiently until she got her head on straight. I still love the series and of course will continue to read them.

Love Lessons in Good Hope is the next in the Good Hope series but can also be read as a stand alone story. Cindy Kirk has created a wonderful town filled with various characters that will having you laughing, crying and simply wanting to be a part of the story. This is Charlotte and Adam's story. Opposites attract, the chemistry in a one-night stand ignites the night and has lasting results. Adam and Charlotte had a fling last year and reconnected for a one-night stand which results in a pregnancy. Charlotte had planned to have a baby through IVF so that she didn't have to deal with co-parenting but now that is changed because Adam wants to be involved. Both had rocky childhoods and have had to deal with the emotional scars left behind but as they spend time together to get to know each other, they learn that not all relationships are difficult and they begin to heal. This is a wonderful story filled with a plethora of emotions and a variety of characters to build the story.

If you have not read any of the Good Hope stories, I would suggest you give them a look. It is the kind of place most people want to live for all their life. This is the 14th book in the series so far. I really enjoyed that the main characters were older than twenty something. They are both looking for the next phase in their lives. Charlotte thinks she must go at it alone . Mostily due to not having the best luck with her family and parents. Then she reconnects with Adam and deal with things not going according to plan. I love all the snippets of past couple and the merry band of matchmakers in action. Cindy Kirk’s book are always well written and well paced. Take another trip to the town of Good Hope and enjoy a story about falling in love even when it doesn’t go according to plan..

An endearing story about giving love a chance!!

This is Charlotte's and Adam's story.

We've seen these two off and on since the beginning of the series. Charlotte is a hairstylist and Adam is a organic farmer.

They had one night several years earlier and they never forgot each other.

So I'd call this a second chance romance as these two reconnect easily and quickly.

I'd call this a surprise pregnancy romance as their one night together left them with a wonderful surprise that changes everything.

I'd call this an opposites attract romance as Charlotte and Adam are completely different in what they want, where they're going and how they're gonna get there.

I'd even call this a older woman younger man romance, as Adam is several years younger than Charlotte.

I'd call this a friends to lovers romance as they both has issues and getting to know each other as friends first is better. And of course love happens along the way!!

It's a fun story. I really liked these two characters, they're entertaining and interesting.

Definitely worth reading 📚 👌!!!!

Charlotte McCray has moved to Good Hope a second time around after her hair salon business in California failed to be financial productive. Adam Vogele is content to live his life on his farm with his dad. Charlotte and Adam are complete opposites, she wants to grow her hair salon business and has decided a relationship is not in the works. Faith has other plans Charlotte and Adam have a one night stand during the fourth of July and she finds out she is pregnant.
In this heartwarming story both Charlotte and Adam have to overcome fears and doubts from their past to truly see they could be the love for each other. Her having to learn to trust again after being disappointed by past relationships and Adam being confident that him being a farmer is good enough for Charlotte. This is a great addition to an already beautiful and brilliant series where we get to meet up with past couples and see how they are doing.

Love Lessons In Good Hope: "I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from the publisher and am voluntarily reviewing it”
Charlotte and Adam have history of a brief but very happy time spent together in Good Hope. Charlotte has since returned to Good Hope to stay but also wants to fulfill one of her dreams, and that is to become a mother. Her other dream is to be a single parent.
Charlottes past experiences with the men on her life have always left her disappointed so choosing IVF and not having to deal with unwanted opinions of a man in the picture is ideal to her.
What a surprise for Charlotte when she finds a positive pregnancy test result is in her future after she and Adam spend a night together. After Adam gets over the initial shock, he has to figure out a way to an involved and still honor Charlotte’s washes.
Another cozy read from Cindy Kirk and The Good Hope Series that you’ll enjoy.

Charlotte is back in Good Hope. She is starting a new business venture and when the time is right she intends to have a baby through artificial insemination. She wants to be the sole parent to her child.

Adam and Charlotte had a steamy one night stand the last time she was in Good Hope. Now that she’s back she doesn’t plan on seeing him romantically again. Life has other plans.

Charlotte and Adam get together again for a no strings attached night together. When that results in an unplanned pregnancy Charlotte’s life will change forever. As will Adams. How will these two find happiness in Good Hope.

I really liked this installment of the Good Hope series. I love anything baby. Getting to Charlotte and Adam’s happily ever after was a nail biter. I’ll let you find out for yourself the path these two take. I loved this book. I think you will too.

I received an Advanced Reader Copy of LOVE LESSONS IN GOOD HOPE from the publisher and am voluntarily reviewing it. Good Hope is a great place to live. It’s a community anyone would want to be a part of. Charlotte moved to Good Hope several years ago and left for the glamour of California. After loosing her salon and realizing all she did was work Charlotte moved back to Good Hope to build a better salon with Marigold. Charlotte was also ready to have a baby on her own and what a great place to reprise a child. Adam Vogel caught Charlottes attention last time and he has caught her attention again. They start seeing one another casually and the Charlotte realizes her dreams of having a baby have come true. Charlotte can’t believe this has happened. She wanted to raise her child alone without the input of the father. Adam doesn’t see things the same way. Keep reading to learn more about Love Lessons.

I love reading about the relationships of characters in the Good Hope community. However, I struggled with this one because of the main character, Charlotte, and her views on marriage. In this book, Charlotte wants to have a baby—on her own, without a man’s input on how to raise the child. I can understand that marriage and relationships don’t always work out the way you hoped, but I don’t understand pushing a man away just because of that. Not all men are the same and not all relationships will be the same. I did like seeing how Charlotte’s and Adam’s relationship progressed and improved throughout the story. They were both able to learn about the importance of listening to their partner and doing things that would make the other person happy. I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from the publisher and am voluntarily reviewing it. Although I struggled with Charlotte’s character, I still enjoyed this book and encourage you to read it.

This is a new book from the Good Hope series, and with the previous copies its an ARC received from the author. I love this series, and I do hope that Ms Kirk continues writing this series. This book is about Charlotte and Adam. Charlotte is a partner at Marigold's hair salon and Adam is an Organic Farmer. They had a one night relationship that Charlotte was not interested in continuing due to her busy life outside of Good Hope and other issues, but Adam was. Charlotte moved back into town to start her partnership with Marigold and ran into Adam at the 4th of July festival, and rekindled their relationship. This story talks about how your past can influence you future. Adam and Charlotte both had issues in their past that they needed to resolve before they finally admitted they belonged together. The book also bring in interactions with previous characters and shows how much their respective families have grown or changed. I cannot wait for more Good Hope books.

Charlotte McCray knows that, at 42 years old, her biological clock is ticking. Her new salon partnership with Marigold Rallis will help establish herself in Good Hope and earn money to have a baby on her own terms. She doesn’t count on the passion that she shares with handsome Adam Vogele to throw a wrench into her careful plans. Adam knows from experience that having the support of a father figure can transform a child’s life and he has no intention of letting Charlotte remove him from the equation of the baby they created. Can patience overcome stubborn independence and fear? I am thrilled to return to Good Hope for another romance, and Cindy Kirk continues to build solid storylines while giving us glimpses of the lives of couples we feel in love with in previous installments. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author and I am willingly offering this honest review.

Charlotte McCray returns to Good Hope to begin working at a local spa and salon. She’s in her early 40’s, been married and divorced, not wanting a relationship. The one thing she wants...a baby. She’s determined to have a baby and raise the child on her own, because she doesn’t want a man making decisions for her.

Charlotte runs into Adam Vogele and they hook up for a one night stand. A few weeks later, Charlotte and Adam find out they’re expecting a baby. Charlotte doesn’t feel she needs Adam to be a part of her’s or the baby’s life. Adam sees things differently and he’ll do whatever it takes
for Charlotte to see she does need him!

Of course Gladys is up to her matchmaking ways with Charlotte and Adam!

Another great book in this series!

It's always great to revisit Good Hope. I read this at a time where I couldn't physically travel due to current events so it was great to take an imaginary vacation to Good Hope and check in on its residents.

I like that recent installments of this series are expanding the circle of residents so I am getting to know new characters and others that had only been mentioned in passing before.

This story has a refreshing level of depth and complexity that sets it apart from the dime a dozen romances I see in Amazon. While Charlotte and Adam got their story nicely wrapped up, there are still loose ends and unanswered questions for the author to answer in future installments. It looks like Piper is next and I can't wait.

I received an advanced review copy in exchange for an unbiased review.
