Alaia

Rate this book
The creations of Azzedine Alaia are considered by many to be the sexiest, trendiest, and most utterly original clothes produced by any contemporary designer. Alaia's talent and reputation, spread largely by word of mouth, has won him the adoration of an extraordinary suite of faithful clients, among them Naomi Campbell, Tina Turner, and Jessye Norman. Here the story of the young designer is told with flair and intelligence and is lushly illustrated with top-echelon photography of Alaia's signature creations - in all their exuberance and sensuality.

The photographs in the Azzedine Alaia book are amazing. I don't know what I like more: his amazing sketches or his eye-popping fashions. My favorite designs are the wild safari prints and the leather grillwork dresses from his 1991-92 line you have to see to believe!
