Megargee—former senior healthcare executive; a Washington, DC, healthcare lobbyist; and award-winning author—draws both on his personal journey of self-discovery and other people’s mystical experiences as he examines death as a concept with due complexity, soul life, and the process of plausible reincarnation.

Megargee begins with “The Octopus Analogy” (the world of a cluster of souls within the framework of a sea creature), continues through soul’s seven senses and the seven heavens and seven h

“Soul Afterlife: Beyond the Near-Death Experience” by Bud Megargee is the companion piece to his 2018 book, “Soul Imprints: The Legacy of Existence.” Not having read “Soul Imprints,” this reviewer cannot name the similarities and differences between the two books. Megargee references his past works occasionally if only to refer to his soul-guide energy resource, known as Laz, and his oracle, Shirlet. Laz has explained to Megargee and Shirlet many of life’s perplexing questions related to human s ...more

In his book Soul Afterlife: Beyond the Near-Death Experience Bud Megargee engages the reader on topics that many think of but not all are open to talk about; life, death, and the after life. Reading Soul Afterlife was a delight because the author’s style of writing is not spo ...more

In his beautiful writing, Bud Megargee gets one to examine the purpose of life, why man lives the way he does and why death is final. He notes critical points and supports his theories with facts and truths. I like Bud Megargee’s writing because of how raw it feels. The author drives the point home without using long sentences or sug ...more

Soul Afterlife is a spiritual book by Bud Megargee. The style of the book is a series of interviews. This book describes people’s near-death experiences and how it is not really a death if someone survives “dying.” Through the examination of these near-death experiences and how reincarnation may work. When someone has a near-death experience, they are tiptoeing the line of death, the afterlife, and the aspects of possible reincarnation. Megargee starts off with the theory/analogy of the soul, th ...more
