Gorgeous devil. Hate-worthy. Instant enemy. What's a girl to do when the man she can't stand plays hero?
It's fitting that his name's a four-letter word. Holt Silverton had me spoiling for a fight the second we met. He actually thought I'd sell my ranch - to him - in what universe? Oh, I know his reputation. It's mud here in little old Heart's Edge. He can spare me his pretty words and Hercules good looks.
I'd rather chew nails than get roped up in anything with him. I ain't giving up my home, my inheritance, or my horses. Not even if I desperately need the cash when trouble comes calling. But there are two things I didn't count on.
Holt's as stubborn as a bull. He's also hiding a rough and tumble country boy behind that big city suit. Everything flips upside down the day he says he'll help save my land. Lucky me.
I can't let anybody uncover the secret on my property. Not even gorgeous stallions turning I-hate-you into what-are-we-doing. The way Holt kisses proves he's no white knight. Do I dare let a dark knight in?

Things are never quiet in this town that’s for sure and Liberty and Holt’s story as just as gripping as every other in this series. This was a story filled with electric chemistry, dangerous enemies and a love that is fiery and passionate. In short you will never be bored reading any of the books in this series, after each book I think this is the best in the series until the next one arrives and I am left feeling the same. Highly HIGHLY recommended read with a well-deserved 5* read. I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.

Handsome devil. Hate-worthy. Walking scandal. I'm catching one feeling with him and it's got teeth...
If I were a bird, I know who I'd paint white. Holt Silverton. The cocky dolt who swaggered up thinking he'd buy my ranch out from under me. I know his reputation—those stormy eyes and chiseled looks ruined half this town. Spare me the pick up lines and pretty words.
I'd rather chew nails than get roped up in anything with him. I ain't selling off my home, my inheritance, or my horses. Not even if I desperately need the cash when trouble comes calling. But there are two things I didn't count on.
Holt's as stubborn as a bull. He's also hiding a rough and tumble country boy behind that big city suit. Everything flips upside down the day he says he'll help save my land. Too easy.
Because I can't let anybody uncover the awful secret on my property. Not even gorgeous stallions turning I-hate-you into what-are-we-doing. He's no white knight. The way Holt kisses is a warning... Nothing will ever be the same after this dark knight rocks my world.

No White Knight gives us an alpha-tastic hometown boy with a wild reputation and a sassy-mouthed firecracker with everything on the line. Holt and Libby are polar opposites. The banter comes hot and heavy and so does the magnetic “oh no” pull between these two. They go down hard and it's a thrilling, unpredictable joy ride to the last page. I loved this intense, original and funny journey back to Heart's Edge—don't miss this lightning-hot new standalone novel!
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

This series just keeps getting better and better and you wouldn't think that was possible if you have read he other books. These two characters are polar opposites. I'd go as far as to say that they are even enemies. This is the story of Liberty Potter and Holt Silverton. Liberty is all on her own. After having a sister that had abandoned them and losing her and her father she is one her own and has to find a way to save the family ranch that is buried under a lot of debt. There is one man though that wants her ranch and she is not going to let him have it no matter what....Holt. He has plans for a contract for a huge shopping mall but Liberty is standing in his way because he needs part of her land to make this deal a reality. And when he finds out she is in trouble his honorable intention might just not be that as he sees a way to help her save the ranch yet still get the land he needs for himself. I loved Liberty. This girl is not one to be messed with. She gives it as good as she gets and I really really thing Holt thought she would be a pushover and this would be easy but she throws everything he gives her right back in his face. He just wants to redeem himself in the town he grew up in and live an honest life. But if he thinks that Liberty is just going to swoon at his feet and give him anything he wants he has another thing coming. You do not want to miss this book. Its got everything that you look for in a romance story and I loved the banter between these too. I swear Nicole Snow writes stories that you are not able to put down and you always want more of her characters and their stories. I am so glad that I got to read this book and can not wait to see what Nicole Snow gives us next!!
Libby realizes that running the family ranch is a lot of work. She could handle the ranching part, the feeding and caring for the animals, it was the liens, the mounting bills and the taxes that had her second guessing and running out of options. This was the only home she'd known and when her father had passed, it would continue being her home. Sierra's visit would just complicate things and make life a little harder. Sierra, her sister, is listed as co-owner of the ranch along with Libby. A ranch Libby loved. A ranch Sierra didn't. That's when Holt enters Libby's life. The bad boy, heartbreaker who left Heart's Edge years ago for the big city. He'd like to think he's changed since returning home, become a better man, but one look at Libby and all bets are off. Holt's reputation precedes him and he's come home to make amends with the only family he has left. Libby is trying to hold on to her family's legacy and Holt can help. He's not her knight in shining armor, even though Libby might wish he was. She knows he's dark and dangerous and wants more than just Libby's ranch. Holt is used to getting more, but more is not something Libby gives freely, especially when it involves her heart. Libby is strong willed and can take care of herself. Holt needs to prove that he's a better man now then when he left Heart's Edge. A man worthy of Libby's trust. I LOVED IT💕 EVERY FREAKING PAGE ! FROM LIBBY & HOLT'S FIRST MEET, RIGHT UP UNTIL THE VERY LAST PAGE ! Holt and Libby are only the tip of the iceberg, there's so much more going on in Heart's Edge ! MYSTERIOUS & INTRIGUING ! ENGAGING & ADDICTIVE ! 🔥CRAZY INTENSE CHEMISTRY & MIND BLOWING SEX🔥 UNPUTDOWNABLE ! ! !
You guys, I’m sorry, I can’t. I had to DNF at 30%. The dialogue was just too cheesy AND choppy. I mean, pick a struggle please. Maybe it’s just me cause a lot of y’all seemed to like it. Maybe I’ll revisit later, but for now I just ...
No White Knight is a hell of a thrilling romance or romantic thriller, even more so than the previous books in the Heart's Edge series.
Not only once I was on the verge of losing my mind because of the slowly building up tension and the many unexpected twists and turns. Not only once did I hold my breath because the plot was sooo thrilling.
Libby and Holt are like fire and ice, their banter and verbal exchanges, sometimes below the belt, are just irresistible and the best remedy for any Corona blues you might feel. The attraction between the two is extraterrestrial. With the heat between them, you could fry an entire bull in the blink of an eye. Yeah, it's that hot, ladies, just like that magnificent hunk, that scoundrel turned knight in shining armor. And in Libby, he found his missing piece, his heart and soul. These two are a dream team if I’ve ever read about one. And they seem so real, so genuine that I expected them to step out of this romance-thriller at any moment.
I don't know how Mrs. Snow manages to do it time and again, but she has outdone herself once again with this novel. This book is effing perfection, from the first to the last page and everywhere in between, and is certainly one of my reading highlights this year so far!
Holt And Libby's Story Is Beautifully Written From Beginning To End. Holt Can't Outrun His Famed Seduction Skills, And Wild Hellion Libby Refuses To Be Just Another Victim.
Move over, Galentron - Get ready for Ursa!
The Heroes of Heart's Edge series is back with a new but familiar hero and a new mystery in book six. Holt Silverton, Blake's younger brother who surprised everyone when he came to the rescue in No Damaged Goods, gets his very own story and the chance to join forces with his brother's friends. This time the story revolves around murder, ghost towns, and a NASA scientist. Reading book four, No Damaged Goods, is not required but is recommended because Holt's history with Blake is laid out in that book.
This book is part of the Heroes of Heart's Edge series. Heart's Edge is a small town near Missoula, Montana in which peculiar things have a habbit of happening. Each book is rich with the history of the town, familiar haunts, and continuing glances at favorite characters. Each is a complex love story between well-defined characters and set in the midst of a new trouble plaguing the town and its heroes as history has a way of resurfacing. Crush at first sight develops into a deep love amidst danger and suspense. These smart books are beautifully written and packed with everything - mystery, suspense, danger, broken characters, and a heartfelt love story. Each may be read perfectly as stand-alone, but knowing the complex histories certainly adds to the enjoyment.
To review, in book one, Warren Ford and Haley fall in love while battling a drug runner. Warren finds closure in the death of his sister, Jenna. In book two, Doc Gray, the local vet and most eligible bachelor, gets taken off the market by his new assistant Ember. They face danger as Gray's former employer, Galentron, a research company with a hushed local history, comes back into town and plays dirty. Book three sees the legend of Nine turn into a local hero following years in hiding after killing a man and escaping from jail. Nine turns out to be Warren and Blake's old childhood friend Leo, a.k.a. Tiger, and he worked with Doc at Galentron a decade ago when it all burned down. It is a heartbreaking story in which Leo earns redemption and his HEA with long lost love, Clarissa. Book four is Blake Silverton and Peace Rabe's story. It opened in January, and Heart's Edge had been quiet since Leo's story in autumn. Blake is a military veteran, Fire and Rescue Chief, radio call-in line host, and welder. He likes to keep busy, even if his military pension covers his living expenses. He has a limp from a war injury that sometimes slows him down. Blake's sixteen year old Andrea is a handful and as a single dad Blake struggles. When free spirit Peace Rabe comes through town, Blake finally finds love, but an arsonist determined to burn the town down threatens his HEA. Book five is shorter and takes place largely outside of Heart's Edge, but it is an important story about a character with a sordid history in Heart's Edge. Ice queen Fuchsia Delaney's story is finally told, and she has had her reasons for turning off her emotions. Her story has parallels to Leo's, which is steeped in Galentron history. Her tearful story finally gets her a hard-earned happy ending with Oliver Major, although it would be lovely down the road to get a bigger and bolder HEA for the couple.
Liberty Jane Potter, twenty-seven, is dead set on keeping the ranch that has been in her family for generations. Her father passed away eight months ago and left her with a tax lien. She refuses to negotiate a way forward and pushes away everyone that tries to help. When her wayward sister Sierra shows up for the first time in eight years and brings a pushy boyfriend from the bank, telling Sierra to demand her half of the ranch and force a sale, things escalate.
Holt Silverton, forty, built his career on seduction and dirty deals. Being a builder and living the high life in his fancy New York penthouse had been exciting, but it all blew up in his face and karma is nasty. He hopes it isn't too late to start over, and coming back to Heart's Edge feels right. He wants to build something honest and leave all the seduction behind. He has finally earned Blake's trust after a lifetime of sibling rivalry, and spending time with his niece Andrea and Blake's new wife Peace is more than he could have expected. He wants a family of his own one day, but first he needs to establish himself in town by building his business and rebuilding his reputation. When he left town years ago, he had left behind a whole lot of broken hearts and angry women. He is determined never to mix business and pleasure again, and has avoided women since New York.
When a land deal too good to be true presents itself in early summer, Blake senses it is trouble but has to follow through anyway. He remembers little Libby and Sierra Potter from when they were little girls, and the chance to purchase some much coveted land would cement his position in town. Apparently Libby didn't get the memo that Sierra had arranged for a viewing, though, because the wild and headstrong hellion literally knocked Holt off his feet. Nevertheless, the spirit and light within Libby had set him on fire in way that he knew would get him in trouble.
When Libby realizes the hotshot businessman with the nerve to enter her property is the infamous Holt Silverton, she simply can't hold her tongue. But Holt can take it and give it back, too. Their bold banter too often leaves her foot in her mouth. And despite the age difference, Holt seems to be flirting with her, but she knows better than to trust anything out of his mouth.
Holt and Libby's story has a seemingly unlikely couple brought together in the complex quest to save a ranch. In helping Libby, Holt selflessly works against his own interests. The contrast between the old version of Holt and his improved version are night and day. Holt might have taken a long time to grow up, but he chose to learn from his failure. His confidence and skills at seduction combine with his new conscience to make him perfectly capable of taming Libby, and she is the only woman that has motivated him to be a better man. Not surprisingly, their chemistry is explosive.
In an effort to save the ranch, the couple researches the history of the property, leading to stories of bandits, the Wild West, silver mines, and ghost towns. Libby continues to mourn her father as she grapples with reconciling the man she knew with newly discovered information. Once again, everything culminates in a huge crisis, so naturally Blake, Warren, Doc, and Leo make an appearance. In the end, Holt and Libby earn a thorough and beautiful HEA.
A few points merit mention. *Spoiler* First, there was discussion of looking out for a distraction before being hit, yet the heroes forgot. Next, the crisis at the end, though they are always a bit wild, doesn't feel as authentic in this story. It is difficult to believe that Holt so casually left Libby without immediately rescuing her.
Holt and Libby's story is beautifully written from the beginning to the end. The plot is very complex. The characters are carefully crafted. It is written in first person. The POV alternates between Holt and Libby. I rate this book 4.5 stars.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Libby and Holt are the most amazing couple, they might be my favorite in Heart's Edge. While the plot has mystery and agnst the driving force in thus story (for me) is the relationship. Libby is Hellfire and sass. I loved her strong backbone, determination, willingness to stand and fight and her heart. Holt, well he was tempered and bold but also had to much internal strenght that he could step back from his goals to help out others. The fire between these two was both humorous beyond measure and hott, hot, hot as Hell. I'm talking melted kindle with a generous side of sass.
It was also really great to see past characters, like Easter eggs for those who have read this series; though that is not needed, this can be read as a standalone. This was a great country small town story and worth the read. If I had one complaint it would be that the story felt too long, in the since that some scenes felt drawn out. I had the pleasure of reading this ARC and I am leaving an honest review.
No White Knight is a story about a kickass sassy chick trying to save her land and her father's good name. Who says the bad boy returning to town after being gone for years can't change his ways and help her all the while falling in love with her? I highly recommend this book. Holt and Libby's story is my favorite one so far out of the Heart's Edge series by Nicole Snow. I read an advanced copy of this book.
Not a White Knight but the Right Knight. Okay this story was too much with Holt, Blake’s brother, whom everyone loves with his radio show. This is about Holt and Libby. Now if you are not hooked with the first chapter where Libby a “little thing” compared to Holt pushes him in mud to knock some sense into him, then I don’t know how to convince you to get this great story. The book has you laughing with the how crazy Libby and Holt’s interaction. She is one tough cowgirl and no man should think she will be crying or begging because that is not how she is raised. Her sister should have taken lesson from her when growing up, but she gains something from her at the end when she knew how to use those feet to bring down a man. I love that Holt not only help Libby but gained four “little ferrets”. Love how Stella and Aurora try to trick him. All of the Heart Edge’s hero’s come to play in this book too.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I absolutely loved this book and this series!! It gets better and better with each book we get!!
Holt came back to Heart’s Edge to repair his relationship with his brother Blake. Since then he has been working on getting his business off the ground and repairing his reputation. But when he meets the sexy, sassy hellfire Libby Potter his life changes in so many ways.
Ever since I read Accidental Knight by Nicole Snow I’ve been a fan but her Heroes of Heart’s Edge series has made me a lifer. Every time I receive her newsletter with her next release it’s like opening a gift on Christmas morning. I really hope we will get Felicity’s story soon. Ever since we were introduced to her I’ve wanted more. 🖤🖤
I Savored This Book Like an All-Day Sucker So often reviewers mention how they tore through a book at lightening speed because they were so engrossed in the story. This book, in fact this series, sort of had the opposite effect on me. I loved each word, each phrase, each moment with these characters so much I didn't want to let go. I simply couldn't read through these pages at warp speed--I wouldn't let myself. I didn't want to miss anything that happened in these epic little adventures (yeah, I know that was oxymoronic, but it's still a truism).
Our dashing hero in this novel is the smarmy brother of Blake Silverton, Holt. You read that right. We first met up with Holt in Blake and Peace's story, No Damaged Goods. It didn't matter how the author described Holt's physical appearance, I envisioned him as Joe Pesci's character from the old Lethal Weapon movies because that's what his personality was like. He was a slick talker that couldn't be trusted, always looking to make a deal that would benefit him. He was flashy, savvy, quick-witted, and sly. Above all--he was not to be trusted. His brother Blake knew it, no matter what Holt kept telling him about turning over a new leaf, blah, blah, blah...
One fine sunny day, I stepped out of my shiny car, looking to cut a big deal with a hellcat.
Well, Holt Silverton. Meet Liberty Potter. A little spitfire of a woman who is not taken in by your charm, your big city ways, your smooth talk, or your fancy duds. She's not just a firecracker on July 4th, this woman is the whole dang show. Don't let the little package fool you--it's chock full of dynamite on a short fuse, and Holt has no idea he's one big spark. These two together are about the most combustible things since lightning met methane. But geez, are they fun. Whether they're verbally sparring or lighting up the night with their sizzling heat, Liberty and Holt are pure lightening in a bottle.
If the story were just about the two of them, it would be great fun. But as usual, Nicole Snow writes an incredible novel around the firecracker and the lightening wrangler. Full of battered loyalties, dark revenge, decades-old secrets, and spooky local legends that have their roots in fact, this story spins out like a drunken wrangler spending all his wages at the saloon. What an incredible tale it is, too. By the time I finished my adventure with the heroes of Heart's Edge I was well and truly satisfied. I was also very much in love with one Holt Silverton, who was so much more than the man I first read about in his brother's love story. Wow.
Sadly, I didn't like this book as much as I liked others in the series, and I was actually looking forward to Holt. Everything came off so aggressive in this book. The characters especially, but also the writing. There were a lot of short phrases and sentences making it choppy instead of flowing. And then the characters just seemed like they were mad or aggravated all the time which is the problem I had with the last book too.
I also didn't care for Holt too much and how we kept getting mentions of his manho past. Even though there was technically no OW drama, we did have a woman from his past come up, and then we kept getting told about the women he slept with in that town so I fully expected more of them to pop up. We also kept getting mentions of his past but really nothing on hers except her family problems which was annoying.
I didn't like the sister, and if she becomes a heroine I'm not sure I want to read her book. I hated her most of the book, and she defends her sister from one person, even though it was her own fault why that person was even in the picture, and then all is forgiven. I didn't care for the heroine, and how she always tried to act so tough with her words but never showed it. And one thing she did that annoyed me was she had this massive secret and she tells half of it to her sister and the sister's boyfriend, both of which could easily use that secret to get back at her or get her ranch from her, and it's not a secret they would do that to her either, so the heroine was an idiot for saying anything. I also didn't really care for the hero. He technically wasn't that bad besides his past manho ways, and kind of current with how he kept noticing what women looked like, but he was pretty bland and I never felt like he redeemed himself from what he did to Blake. I wish we would have gotten at least his POV of what really happened, or if he really did that to Blake, which is pretty unforgiving.
Overall, even though I think this series started out strong, I think it has run its course now, and it's just becoming repetitive and dragging at this point. There were several times I wanted to DnF and kept trying to power through it but I finally just stopped reading and skimmed the last chapters because I was so bored and just didn't care about anyone or anything. If the series does continue, I will probably read it just because I came this far, so I hope I like it more.
I have a shelf called cowboy but this one is all cowgirl. Sexy, independent, lonely, dedicated, hardworking heroine, Liberty. Great horsewoman, sassy mouth which she is not shy using to defend her property and lash out at whoever deserves it. Sometimes very funny but always stands up for herself. Her sister instantly gets her to anger, this time she does it by inviting a banker and developer to the family ranch to convince Libby to sell and to take her half.
The injustice of what is happening around her, her secrets and her mistrust of men overall make this “romance” a lot different from your typical fall at the heroes feet heroines...she is a tough cookie and Holt has his work cut out for him. He is a great hero with a dirty man whore past that he sincerely regrets. He has already had his redemption upon return to his home town after trying his luck in the big city. He sees Libby and sees through her hard edges. I love how well he understood her. How he had her back when there was no one else in her corner.
The drama of the ghost town and so on dragged. How many horse rides up to the ghost town to reveal nothing? It didn’t advance the plot but there was so much riding around my butt was getting sore! I think it could have been edited down somewhat. Also it’s weird how there were tyre tracks on the other side of the little town but they kept on riding up there in the dark no less. The “mystery” was a little far fetched in the current technological age of satellites, google maps, drones and what not but still it gave the story a sort of old world charm. I haven’t read any other books in this series as I didn’t realize until after I read it that it was part of a series. I don’t have the inclination to read any of the other characters stories, I’ll leave it at this one.🙃
♥️🌼🔥”....like someone just punted a seagull in the gut...”🔥🌼♥️ Our impressions of Holt Silverton, Blake’s brother, weren’t all good in previous books...but he redeemed himself...Holt is ex-military, an infamous, former, Heart’s Edge manwhore and owner of a new-ish construction company in Heart’s Edge...He’s trying to clean up his act, both personal and professionally....and he needs Libby Potter’s land to secure a lucrative mall contract with the city council....He just didn’t expect Libby to be so...Libby....and for him to like it...a lot ♥️🌼🔥 Liberty Potter is a quirky, and a tough as nails, bada-s chick who, basically, runs her ranch alone...Libby is no girly girl...she has to work too hard....Her parents are both gone...and her sister, Sierra, is uninterested in the farm....Plus, Sierra is being manipulated by an unscrupulous con artist..(I guess that’s redundant)....and they are trying to steal the land from Libby....Libby wants nothing to do with Holt Silverton, since she thinks he’s also trying to steal her land...and Libby has reasons she doesn’t want ANYONE on her land....Secrets and mysteries pop up everywhere.....When Holt finally convinces Libby he’s on her side, she makes him move in with her....but, to be honest, she doesn’t really have to twist his arm.....♥️🌼🔥 I love No White Knight....and I love Holt and Libby...they have such a hot chemistry....and an opposites attract thing going on....and I loved their story...The Heroes of Heart’s Edge is one of my favorite series....and I was happy they are all here....I love them all....These books are all somewhat suspense/mysteries...with lots of heat....I’m going to be sad when Nicole Snow concludes this series...♥️🌼🔥
Holt Silverton with his sly, charming ways has changed, no more does he want to be known as the guy that did not care about anything and did whatever he wanted. So moving back home where the residents know his wayward past is definitely hard for him. Luckily, he now has his brother and niece on his side. Then he meets Libby and this spitfire calls to him in each and ever way, if only she didn't hate him and he wasn't trying to take her land.
Y'all, Holt definitely redeemed himself in No Damaged Goods, but he still has a long way to go to show Heart's Edge that he has truly changed. I freaking loved this guy so much, you can feel HOW much he wants to be good and live an honest life. The chemistry that he has with Libby will have you chuckling and fanning yourself at the exact same time. Let's just say they definitely did not have a meet-cute, but it was explosive. Add in your suspenseful and action packed story line that is seen from Nicole Snow and you have yourself a winner with No White Knight.
All in all, if you want a book that can make you laugh, warm your heart, and be jam packed with chemistry, you need to read this ASAP! I give it 5 stars FO SHO!
PS: Thank you to the author for allowing me an advanced copy of the book to read and review honestly!
I love the Hearts Edge people and just when we think it's all settled down, a new mystery evolves!...
Libby is a kickass firecracker, her dad has not long passed, her mum's long dead and her sister ran off years ago so she's left on her own to run the ranch but she's behind in all her bills and it looks like she could loose it all.
Colt is Blakes brother who we met in a previous book, he had a quick appearance himself in that book! But after living it up in the big city, the stereotypical playboy realises there's more to life so he packs up and comes home hoping to make a good life for himself. In comes Libby....
He's wanting to buy part of her land and help her out, She's stubborn and determined to keep it all but it seems there's more that she's determined to keep to herself and she soon realises she can't go it alone!
It's sassy and sexy, there's mysterious secrets, villans and all the feels. And best of all - we get more of the Hero's of Hearts Edge 😘
Really enjoyed it, love this wee town and can't wait to read more! Please tell me Felicitys tale is next???....
I voluntarily received an arc from the author and this is my honest review.
I thought the books of Heart's Edge were over. I'm glad I was mistaken because that series owns a little piece of my heart. I was invested in those characters. Getting to step back in from a backstory in this book made me happy. It introduced new characters while having surprise appearances from old favorites. It can be read as a standalone as the mystery is totally different but I still would suggest reading the others because these characters are amazing.
This author is a queen at writing suspense and mystery. I love going on the journey with her characters to discover the secrets while also watching a story evolve. She also writes the best epilogue and then gives a flash forward story of the couple.
I highly recommend this book or anything she writes because the characters, the story, and a splash of steam intermixed will be entertaining. Loved these characters and their connection. I hope the author continues this and gives Sierra a story too.
Really enjoyed this high stakes, action packed, emotional adventure filled with intriguing mystery, engaging charters, witty dialog, heart racing twists and undeniable passion that will not be ignored. Was a great read from beginning to end that kept me on the edge of my seat waiting for what was next.
This was more of a 2.5-ish read for me. The big problem for me was that it wasn't a book that needed to be almost 500 pages long. It would have done better with about 300. Libby is trying to save her ranch from her sister. Now that their dad is dad the sister thinks she should sell and doesn't care who she hurts. Holt is trying to help Libby and of course by the end they fall in love. The good thing is that everything works out in the end.
This is a fantastic addition to this brilliant series and seeing Holt finally getting his act together is the icing on the cake. The heroes all put in an appearance and this book sets the scene for the next one to come. Superb!
This book was a little too long and over written. Could have been great with some additional editing. I love Nicole snows books and I enjoyed the story, just could have been 100 pages less for me.
What do you get when you put one bad boy heartbreaker and one sassy woman trying to hold onto her family ranch together? You get a great enemies to lovers small town romance packed with secrets, mystery, drama, suspense, a scandal, intense chemistry, a whole lot of craziness and hot sex.
I volunteered to review an advance reader copy of this book.
Libby is doing the best to run her family ranch after her father dies and her sister leaves. Holt has a playboy reputation but he thinks it is time for a change that includes moving back home. He offers to buy her ranch but even though she needs the money, she has no plans to sell to him. What will happen when sparks start to fly between them? Fast-paced read with loads of drama, great chemistry and an entertaining story. I liked it.
Libby and Holt story pull in from start to finish, All i can is there story one steamy HOT read, I volunteered to review an advance reader copy. Loved Nicole
Nicole Snow has written many, many books but I have to say that I LOVE her Heart’s Edge series the most. No White Knight is the latest stand-alone in the series and just like the others it was extraordinary. I love that there are returning characters that help the story play out but do not take away from the main characters. Now down to the nitty gritty, Holt Silverton. Holt is the bad boy that has returned home and is trying to make a change in his life. Why can’t these men be real??? I know I probably ask that with every review I write for Ms. Snow but damn the way she writes these men they are so delicious! As far as Libby Potter, if we could all be as headstrong and stubborn and foul mouthed as her (I might actually give her a run for her money in the foul mouth department). Libby is sassy and funny, and Holt is sexy and determined, a great combination for both. I sure hope there are more stories to come from Heart’s Edge, because it is a great town with lots happening in it. I just cannot say enough about No White Knight, this is yet another 5-star read from Nicole Snow. Liberty (Libby) Potter is about to lose her ranch. Her useless sister Sierra has come back to town with her latest no good boyfriend trying to get Libby to sell the property so she can get her half of the money. Holt Silverton is trying to get his construction business to stay afloat and the new mall in Heart’s Edge would do wonders for his business. Holt just has to get Libby to sale him part of her land so he can put a road in to get to the proposed mall site. Libby wants nothing to do with Holt or anyone else that is after her land. There is a secret hidden away, one that is dangerous for anyone to know about and Libby is determined to keep it hidden. With the weight of the world on her shoulders Libby does not see the outside dangers until it’s too late and she is in need of saving. Holt is No White Knight, but he’ll be damned if he stands by and lets someone hurt the beautiful firecracker that has turned his world upside down.
“Miss” firecracker meets “Mr” wise a** reputation – sparks fly to the heavens! OK. Got to start off by saying that I’ve always loved this cover model, drool ;-) With his golden-brown eyes he is the epitome of Holt. How does Ms. Snow do it?! Each of her books are better than the last. And it appears that all the hunks in the known world find their way to Heart’s Edge, Montana. Libby Potter is 27yo, lives alone on her family ranch which is going into foreclosure if she can’t find a way to make some money…fast. Her sister Sierra and her sleazy boyfriend show up to insist that Libby sell off some of her, well, their property for a shopping mall. Libby is furious enough but then Holt Silverton shows up in his Mercedes and big-city high-dollar suit to persuade her to sell. Uh-uh, he didn’t go and do that! This was a very funny scene. Forty-year-old Holt is trying to establish himself in Heart’s Edge as a developer/builder. His past reputation is a hurdle for many in this small town but for Libby, it’s a wall. There is sexual tension but she’s not falling for it. Oh. My. Word. Their back-and-forth dialogue is scintillating, beguiling and tingling ;-) When you find out about his foray into the NYC scene, you will actually feel bad for Holt. This was a turning point for him. Holt is a man who knows his short comings but does not fear to charge ahead, no knight’s steed required. When he brings to bear his protective shield for Libby, he becomes her white knight. There is so much intrigue, bad guys in disguise, a ghost town, a long-ago murder, a mystery, a strange but revered rock and the magical love brewing between Liberty Jane and Holt. Love the tribute to the four hometown heroes. Loved the OMG moment in chapter XIV and from then on too…Beautiful ending as always. I hope the Heart’s Edge people are still clamoring for their own story in Ms. Snow’s head because I don’t want to see them go. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book and it comes highly recommended. It gets a galaxy of stars!
