3.5-4 stars! I really enjoyed Ana Huang’s writing here. This is the first part of Blake and Farrah’s romance, set in college in Shanghai. We get to see them become friends, fall in love, and then get torn apart. The ending dragged for me which is why this is closer to 3.5 stars but I’m still so excited to read their sequel and second chance romance!

Well, it turns out I’m a sucker for a proper love story! I really did not know what to anticipate when reading this book from Huang and, to be honest, was expecting something rather drab and predictable. Ok, so I could see where the plot was headed but, do you know what? I actually enjoyed it! Safe, predictable and definitely “smushy” (sexy scenes with mushy scenes!), I could not help but fall in love with Blake and Farrah.

So, let’s recap my new word: smushy. There is a lot of sex in this book w

I went into this because a friend said that I may like it but I honestly had no intentions to read it because I had a feeling I knew what it would be about as all 2nd chance romances these days seem to have cheating as the main factor. Well, I wasn't wrong - nor right as it turns out.

First off, I did not read the previous book that takes readers on journey of how Hero & heroine met and fell in love, but I really don't feel like I missed anything and nor do I want to go back and read it.

“Farrah had always equated the stars with love, which seemed as nebulous and out of reach as the diamonds in the sky. But as she stood there next to Blake, beneath the infinite skies of a foreign land, the stars felt a little closer.”

Writing 5 Stars - The writing in this story is fantastic. Ana Huang has a beautiful way with words that made it so enjoyable to read this story.

Characters 3.5 Stars - I liked Farrah, but Blake was just okay. A lot of the things he said were corny

A new duet by a new-to-me-author. The story features two students who meet during a foreign year abroad study program. I found this one really appealing and enjoyed the sights and sounds of a new country along with the other students. There's a very diverse group of college-age students sharing the adventure and adding some angst and drama along the way.

Farrah and Blake are opposites in most every way, but you know what they say about opposites attracting! Not only is the story filled with adve

Okay so here it goes....
One of the BEST romance books I’ve read thus far! The plot is different and unique. I love the culture incorporated in the story.

The details to everything is amazing! The descriptions were so well-written that I felt like I was actually there: seeing and feeling. Blake and Farrah...sigh. I don’t want to say too much because I don’t want to spoil the story for others, but their love and passion is off the charts. I usuall

Farah and Blake met while they were one year of study in Shanghai. Blake is a football star, who decided to leave the game before he gets permanently injured, and he is at odds with his father over this decision. Farah and Blake start with some innocent flirting, but it soon develops into so much more, and Blake becomes Farah’s first lover.

This is Farah’s first real relationship, and it is very serious for her. Blake has left
If We Ever Meet Again tells the story of Farrah Lin and Blake Ryan; as both of them pack their lives in a suitcase and go to Shanghai to study abroad for seven months. Despite briefly knowing each other before, it isn’t until they’re miles away from home when they start getting closer and developing feelings for each other. This is the story of how they found love for the first time and how they learned it was wonderful, yet it can also destroy you in a minute.

The story starts off leaving you in

First, I just want to say thank you Ana for always giving time to answer my messages. Can't describe the way I felt when I learned that this story is going to be published!

This story has everything. Love, friendship, family. Love how it tells the story of Farrah and Blake and at the same time it also tackles about a strong friendship and the importance of family. Ana also managed to describe China and some of their cultures. You can really

Ana Huang’s If We Ever Meet Again is an emotional and realistic story of first love. Set during a year abroad program in Shanghai, the novel focuses on Farrah and Blake, two young and relatable characters. I adore the slow-building romance between Farrah and Blake! It is deep and true (and pretty steamy), and filled with good and not-so-good moments. Set against the amazingly described setting of Shanghai, their blossoming romance is wonderful and heartbreaking and is filled with happiness, expl ...more

I loved this NA romance.

Things I adored:

1. Farrah and Blake's banter.
2. Blake's determination to let no one delve into his true self.
3. Farrah's sunshine and hopefulness.
4. The way they complete each other - two halves to a whole.

Both MCs are young, and watching them fall irrevocably, unerringly into a once-in-a-lifetime love, supporting each other's dreams and being the sounding board the other desperately needs, was sweetly, unforgettably rendered.

The first book ends in Forced Separation due

"Farrah had always equated the stars with love, which seemed as nebulous and out of reach as the diamonds in the sky."

I loved the setting been placed in Shanghai and having read another of Ana’s book (all she never wanted) I knew to expect the inclusion of Asian culture and setting this first book in Shanghai was wonderful.

Farrah and Blake met each other while studying in Shanghai which was a one-year study. Blake was a football player but he

When Ana announced that IWEMA is going to be published, I was over the moon because it is hands down one of the best stories I read on Wattpad and I've always wished for it to be published so that everyone can experience what I experienced.

I personally have never been to Shanghai but the way Ana wrote the story - the attention to details of the settings and atmosphere, the emotions the characters feel on a foreign place and foreign feelings

Oh. Holy. Angst. 🥵
This took my heart and shredded it with All The FEELS.
I've been wanting to read this book for a while now and didn't plan to pick it up on KU today, but I'm so glad that I did! Well, my heart feels like it's been through the wringer but we'll live. 😂

This was a fairly short read and I finished it in the span of a few hours this afternoon. It's an achingly bittersweet opposites-attract romance that had a generous dose of angst, and though I generally tend to avoid angsty romance

🍷If We Ever Meet Again🍷
I enjoy contemporary romances because they transfer me to a world I truly want to live in. This is such a beautiful story which will definitely have my heart forever. Slow burn and enemies to lovers is my favourite theme whenever it comes to contemporary romances, this is the first book in the duet and definitely a book that could be enjoyed by all romance readers.
Blake and Farrah shouldn’t have fallen for each other the way they did: totally, completely, and irrevocably.

When a couple of college students meet in Shanghai, their lives are changed forever.

Farrah Lin is in Shanghai because of her father's memory. She is majoring in interior design and she is working on a portfolio to apply for a prestigious competition.  She believed in love and romance and was saving herself for the right man. However, she is tired of falling for guys she can't have. She wasn't expecting to be attracted to the cocky Blake Ryan, former football star and ladies' man, but his charm w

This was a great read! As I read more and more about their story, I was super invested and addicted to finding out what happens next.

The story starts with a bang by showing the relationship's eventual demise. Knowing that things aren't going to end well for these two gives this story a bittersweet tone when we start to see their relationship from the start

When I received a review request a little while ago by Ana Huang and read the book description of ‘If We Ever Meet Again’, I knew this was a book I wanted to read. As a huge romance lover, this book just sounded so good. And then that cover… I mean wow!! Don’t you just love that cover?!

Thank you so much to Ana Huang for my DRC of this book in exchange for my honest review. I truly loved this book!

This painted such a great picture of what studying abroad in China may look like through the eyes of young, impressionable college kids. The writing was beautiful and I really got caught up in it all.

In Shanghai, a group of American college students from all over the country become part of FEA (foreign education academy). Among them is Farrah, who wants nothing more than to become an

Sometimes I forget I really enjoy contemporary romance. Especially books like this. This book was such a good and wholesome romance read that I really needed right now. When I was asked to read and review this book, I was very skeptical and honestly wasn't sure if I was going to like it at all. But after getting a few chapters in, I really started to love it. Farrah and Blake are an interesting couple and not two people you would expect to be together. But their relationship is so real and raw. ...more

I didn’t know what to expect going into this book then I started it which was when I figured out it was written in third person. I only read a few authors that write in third person and Ana Huang has been added to that list.

I first fell in love with the setting of the book so many books are written and most books that take place in big cities are generally the same big cities so this book taking place in Shanghai was a refreshing new atmosphere.

3 stars for this first book in the If Love series (and in Farrah and Blake's duology). This was a funny, sweet and sexy new adult romance set at study abroad in Shanghai. I really enjoyed watching as Farrah and Blake slowly get closer. I would have loved to have seen their early relationship developed a bit more before they 'fell in love', but that might just be because I'm partial to a good slow burn. Having said that, Blake and Farrah do have such a cute romance and it was really awesome to ...more

Such an emotional love story

Going into this book, I knew that it was going to be emotional. I didn't expect to feel such an array of emotions. I laughed and cried and swooned.

Farrah is an LA native who's attending a year in Shanghai. Blake is a former college football player who gave it all up to attend his final year abroad in the same program as Farrah. The two end up as part of a friend group who hang out with each other outside of the program.

“She looked surprised. “You remember.” “Of course.” Blake couldn’t forget the way Farrah’s eyes lit up when she talked about the competition. She was studying interior design because she loved it, not because everyone said she should. Her passion was refreshing…and depressing. Blake had never felt that way about football or anything else in his life, really.” 0 likes
