I'll start by saying this feels like a familiar style of book. Maybe not exactly the same series, but similar, at a different reading level. It's definitely more positive than other ghost stories!
It's also very readable even as book 3 in a series, without NEEDING to read the prior books! I like that in episodic styles of story, that not having read the books in order doesn't mean being unable to enjoy the current book.
About the only thing I DON'T like:
Otherwise, a cute book! Recommended for younger readers who love spooky stories (but not TOO spooky)!["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

I know this one seemed a little obvious that the new kid and the painting which had a kid, then mysteriously didn't have a kid had a connection. But the thing that made me believe that this book deserves 5 stars is the whole talk about friendship.
I also didn't really believe that Edgar didn't know he was a ghost, I feel like he did know, but didn't know what he could do about it. The other ghosts could have clued the other kids in that they knew him before the end of the book, but they just didn't.
My favourite part was the fact that Sadie wanted to be Nina's friend. I thought it was cute how she left little presents for her, and how Nina didn't really seem to notice her at all until she said something about it. I totally would have wanted to be Sadie's friend. I mean, how can you not want to be friends with a ghost?

This was another great book in the series. Now, the ghosts' characters are beginning to get more developed. The introduction of a new classmate was also welcome. I highly recommend this series for grades 2-3.

This series is mediocre. My 9 year old is still into though. This is maybe the best of the series so far though. The plot was a bit more interesting.

Argh. How could they not see he was a ghost? Ok, I'm not even going to say anything further on this one. *shakes head*
