This next installment in medieval Muslim historian/traditionist al-Tabari's grand work covers the post-patriarchal era, up to a point - its bookends are Moses (well, actually, a pre-Mosaic figure from the Qur'an called al-Khidr, whom many Muslims identify with the biblical figure of Jethro) on the one end and Solomon on the other (regarding whom a great deal of legendary material made it into the Qur'an and is expanded on here).
