This is an amazing resource to have on hand. I enjoyed the layout of the physical text more than I liked my electronic copy, but love the idea of having this with me in my clinical practice area. I highly recommend this prescribing guide.

I loved the part where Stahl shouted "You Shall Not Pass" and kicked Schizophrenia in the D2 receptors.

...Why is this book on Goodreads, anyway?

I use this book everyday...it is one of the better (if not the best) guides available for psychopharm for APRN/MD or anyone working in psychiatry and handling medications. It covers adults and children...and has a great section on stopping medications as well as augmenting options.

A very complete pharmacotherapy manual, but sometimes hard to understand by oneself (maybe not for an expert, but surely for a student or someone just interested in knowing about the functioning of the pharmacos in our cerebral system).

Steve Stahl is the man who wrote the book on how to think about psychopharm for the uninitiated
