Make Me Yours is a collection of four best-selling novels including: The Birthday List by Devney Perry The Player & The Catch by K Bromberg In Peace Lies Havoc by Amo Jones Enshrine by Chelle Bliss
Devney is a Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author who lives in Washington with her husband and two sons. Born and raised in Montana, she loves writing books set in her treasured home state. After working in the technology industry for nearly a decade, she abandoned conference calls and project schedules to enjoy a slower pace at home with her family. Writing one book, let alone many, was not something she ever expected to do. But now that she’s discovered her true passion for writing romance, she has no plans to ever stop.

Three of these stories and two of the authors were new to me and I fill enriched by all of these words and my purse is a bit lighter because I must devour all things Devney Perry and Amo Jones immediately!!
The Birthday List by Devney Perry: I mean …. *blank stare* wow
Okay, so first I have to tell you that Devney is a new to me author and even though from the blurb I could tell this book would pull at my heartstrings, I was not prepared for the tsunami of emotions it evoked. It wasn’t all on the writing. It was a combination of the writing and the storyline. They made the perfect storm. I’m a believer that not everyone can write anything and everything. Authors have distinctive voices and styles that allow them to be superstars with certain genres and tropes. Well, this is Devney’s superstar superpower. Even tho I haven’t read any other books by her; I am certain of it. Maybe she has more than one, who knows, but this is one.
I was invested in Poppy’s survival and path from the beginning. As someone who has had to travel a road after a devastating and unpredictable loss, my heart belonged to her. And it also belonged to Cole. He’s the man you want to help you thru any devastation. He was a total swoonfest. Truth be told, this entire story was an absolute swoonfest because as much as my hart bloke at every turn, it also soared. I can’t wait to dive into more Devney Perry goodness in the future!
In Peace Lies Havoc by Amo Jones: I mean … *blank stare* wow
Another author I had no idea what to expect and I’m pretty sure she gave me a few tiny heart attacks! Obviously, I’m invested now and have already read book 2, In Fury Lies Mischief, but I have to tell you, what I feel right now is more than just investment. I don’t know what an addict feels like when they don’t get their fix, but I’m betting it might be a little like I feel right now. This story gave me all kinds of feelings, from say what now? to fuck off with this to okay, new panties it is to to to …it’s a lot.
If this is your first step into the world that is Amo Jones, heed this advice: Don’t think too much while you read this story, just let the story happen. Trust me. No one gave me this advice and I could have used it. This is a complete and utter mind fuckery twist of a journey. If you try and figure out any of it, you might miss its greatness because you will give yourself a migraine. It’s a dark and twisted world and you should just flow right thru it!
When it comes to dark reads, I’m pretty picky because there needs to be a level of trust in the author’s ability to deliver. I personally think dark romances are one of the most difficult stories to unfold because it isn’t just about situations and plot, it’s about the design behind the machinations and the layers that hide in the shadows of the story. Not just anyone can pull this off. Amo Jones can pull it off in spades. #TRUST
Enshrine by Chelle Bliss: I mean … *blank stare* wow
so this was unexpected. I’m not new to Chelle’s work but apparently, I did not know how ridiculously multifaceted she truly was, so that was unexpected. I knew the story would have a heart, but I didn’t know it would shatter mine at the very same time as it put it together. I found it was more a story of life rather than love but there’s a romance in there and it is beautiful. It’s a story of living and surviving. It’s a story of patience and determination. Like I said, life. It’s an inspiring tale that packs a punch; very well written and developed.
The Player K. Bromberg has stolen my heart yet again with The Player! This book is seriously genius! I have never laughed out loud so much reading a book. The banter between the characters was hilarious! The emotion in this book however is what stood out most! I have never highlighted so many quotes in a book before. The emotional depth in this story was phenomenal! It was truly a story of rehabilitation. Just on so many emotionally charged levels. You feel every emotion, every word, every feeling as it flows from the pages! Gear up ladies Easton Wylder is out to steal the bases of your heart!
Easton Wylder was having the season of his career until one dirty play lands him on the DL. With the pressure on for Easton to heal and return to the field a new PT is brought in Scout. As time passes Easton finds Scout healing more than his shoulder.
Scout Dalton is out to prove herself, and her abilities by landing the biggest contract of her career. As well as fulfill her fathers last wish. Clear mind, strong heart is what he always told her. But when pressure is high, emotions run deep things start to heat up. Scout quickly realises Eastons not the only one healing.
5 HOME RUN STARS to a sports romance done right!
The Catch The Catch was a absolutely breathtaking finale in The Player Duet. This book owned my heart from start to finish. Easton and Scouts chemistry was off the charts! The Catch brought all the feels, it was a emotion hurricane out for the shores of your heart! This is by far one of the best books I have read in sports romance! The plot twists in this book left me completely speechless more than once! Kristy did a phenomenal job of building suspense and all out mystery which made for a spectacular ending!
Scouts character truly came into herself in The Catch. Her journey was just as tough as Eastons this book. Her character was nothing short of empowering. My heart ached for her so many times and I honestly think I cried as much as she did. So believe me when I say this have your kleenex ready!
Easton Wylder had a hold of your heart from The Player but he will completely own your heart by the end of The Catch. His dirty mouth got dirtier, and his love only got more fierce. But you find out quickly theirs more to Easton Wylder then even Easton himself knows. Your heart will break for Easton so much through this book. Because all secrets must come out in the end.
This is one of those books you wish you could rate more than 5 stars because its just that good! By far ine the most stunning conclusions to a duet that I have read!
In Piece Lies Havoc In Peace Lies Havoc BLEW. MY. MIND. Y'ALL!! I loved every dark, haunted word of this story. I simply could not devour this book fast enough. I am fairly new to this author and well she never ceases to blow me away with her books. I was NOT ready for this book to end! I wanted SO MUCH MORE! The wait for the next book is seriously going to kill me. I am obsessed with Midnight Mayhem! The plot twists in this story are insane! Don't even get me started on all the emotions! The angst pulled you in like the ocean tides. The perfect game of cat and mouse. I can not count the number of times my mind was blown while reading this book. Rather it be from the amazing characters or the unique haunting story. In Peace Lies Havoc is truly Dark Romance at its finest! I have never been so enthralled by a book in my life. I can already feel a book hangover raging over me like a massive storm cloud. The Brothers of Kiznitch are as delicious as they are sinful. Something about their darkness just calls out to me. My black heart can't wait to uncover each layer of the bothers twisted stories.
Dove was just the heroine this story needed. Seriously though, she was pretty bad*ss! And I just loved her vibe. Everything with her character seemed to just flow. She was sassy, stubborn and strong. I loved Doves passion for everything. From her music, to dance, to people. No matter what she always tackled everything fearlessly. One doesn't survive demons like hers without the utmost strength. Dove definitely come into herself during this book.
King is by far one of the most complicated hero's I have read. I never knew if I wanted to kiss him or slap him. I have never seen a character that is so intense. So calculated. So cold. He was always 6 steps ahead. His every action commanded your attention. King knew all the right things to say to make you crave his darkness. He may have been cold as ice but his words were hot as fire. I wasn't sure if I need a fan, ice water, a cold shower or all three.
*5 STARS* Well earned for one of the best books I've read in 2019! Would I recommend this book... Absolutely! It is worth every bit of the hype!
Review for K.Bromberg's duet - The Player and The Catch
THE PLAYER
Another fantastic read by this super talented author that always manages to pull at all my emotions and touch me deeply with her stories and the simple messages she conveys, but which stay with me long after I finish the book.
I have to say I know nothing about baseball, and I was a bit anxious about this read, but as usual with a K. Bromberg book it is so much more than just the game. It is mostly about relationships between people and their development, about character evolvement, about people finding love when they least expect it and I truly enjoyed every single one of those storylines.
What I love most about K. Bromberg’s books is she always writes strong, confident, very determined heroes, but all the while she gives them a bit of vulnerability, lessens a bit their perfection with some flaws, that make them so realistic, believable and memorable.
Easton Wylder - he is baseball player extraordinaire. Son of a baseball legend, very talented and very famous, but also very injured. And if you think this is another story of an arrogant, spoiled, alpha guy meeting the good, innocent girl and falling for her, you’ll be surprised it’s not. He was indeed very cocky and self-assured, but he completely stole my heart with his persistent, patient, caring and sometimes very sweet and gentle personality.
Scout Dalton - she is Easton’s new PT and at first glance you’ll think she is a tough cookie. And in a way she is. But as the story progressed, I realized there was so much more to her than the tough exterior she was trying to hide behind. She was vulnerable and fighting her own battles by herself. She was sassy, smart, intelligent and knew her job well, but she had her insecurities and secrets she didn’t want revealed. I admired her strength and the way she stood her ground. And although I don’t fully agree with her philosophy #ClearMind #HardHeart I really felt her emotions and could relate to her character in so many ways.
There was sexy banter that made me laugh, there were steamy sex scenes that turned the heat on, there were intense moments that made my heart race, there were emotional parts that touched me deeply and made me cry, but above all there was love – pure and sweet and sometimes explosive, but it felt real nonetheless. It was the perfect mix of everything I’m looking for in a book. I liked the character development. The way they overcome their insecurities and managed to complete each other, so they could fight their internal battles together and not by themselves. It was such a fascinating metamorphosis to witness.
This happens every time with a K. Bromberg book. The plot consumes me, the characters become somehow real to me, I just crawl into the pages and live there for a couple of days and all the while experience the whole spectrum of emotions you could think of. But besides all that, she always has some small and big messages to send to her readers which speak to you loud and clear and this book was no exception:
“There are no guarantees.” “You’re right, there are no guarantees,” I repeat his words back to him, “but it’s the possibility that should keep you going.”
It’s such a simple statement. There is nothing extraordinary or exceptional in it, but it made me stop for a minute to just think about it. Because it’s exactly the possibilities that move us forward because nothing is guaranteed, but you should still keep on fighting for what you want, you should still keep on trying to achieve your goals. And that is exactly what Scout and Easton did.
And the ending. OMG the ending! I knew there was a 2nd book coming but now I’m dying to read it. Such a huge cliffhanger and unexpected plot twist. Now my head is spinning with all the possibilities The Catch could bring us. And I can’t wait to read it.
Another amazing read by Kristy Bromberg, that gave me all the feels and made me crave for more.
p.s. That dedication in the beginning is one of the best I’ve ever read. I found myself in each one of these women described. Thank you for those words, Kristy. They were truly inspiring <3
THE CATCH
A beautiful ending to this emotional duet by the amazing Kristy Bromberg. It had her trade mark signature all over – serious topics raised with clear message behind, mixed with a bit of drama and a lot of sexy and another powerful motto to live your life by: Clear mind. Full Heart. This author’s words have a magic of their own that always manage to pull at my heartstrings. And like with every Bromberg book the story made me feel the whole spectrum of emotions: the angst, the insecurities, the fear, the passion and most importantly this pure, unconditional love for your family, for the big and small things in your life, for the person who “loves the parts of you that no one else loved”.
The Catch started where book 1 ended and the beginning was so intense my heart was racing like crazy and I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough to understand what was happening and what did Scout do. There were lots of lies spoken and then there were lots truths shared, some secrets were revealed that completely took me by surprise and turned the story in new direction.
I loved the way Scout grew in this book. From a girl easily spooked and always running away to a strong woman, ready to fight for the man she loved. From a daughter questioning her abilities to fulfill her father’s last wish, to a woman who stood her ground against everything and everyone. She was a real pillar for Easton, who had his world turned upside down and started doubting the loyalty of everyone around him. He was moody and I wanted to shake him real badly at some places, but she somehow managed to get him out of the funk and make him believe in himself and his worth.
“There are no conditions to my love for you, Easton… …I want you. All of you. Your flaws. Your mistakes. Your achievements. Your shortcomings. Your love.”
Easton went through a lot in this book. Life kept challenging him and throwing at him one thing after another, but with the support and help from Scout he finally realized which were the things that matter and the people who had his back.
"Just when I felt like everything was falling apart, I’m beginning to wonder if maybe they were finally falling into place."
Kristy Bromberg always writes confident and determined characters, but they have their flaws and shortcomings that make them so human and so realistic. Scout and Easton were no exception. Their love was tested on some many levels, but it survived and as expected came out even stronger than before.
As usual she intertwined some serious topics with her story that touched me deeply. Her true power is in the words she writes, the morals behind her books and the simple but meaningful messages she conveys which make her style so unique and easily distinguishable among others. It speaks to your soul and you could relate with her characters on so many levels, simply because her writing makes you feel every single emotion - their struggles, their internal battles, their insecurities, their turmoil, their anger, their hurt, their pain, their passion, their love and devotion to their families and every single thing in between.
I started this story with a clear mind and at the end I had bitter-sweet tears in my eyes, but my heart is definitely full now. It was a homerun to everything I was looking for in a book. Well played, Ms. Bromberg!
I love Top Shelf Romance-bringing together FULL length stories from a wide array of well respected romance authors- giving a junky like me a chance to have some of my favorites all in one place for massive MEGA hit of romantic masterpieces, or exposing others to new authors, tropes, or stories that they haven’t yet discovered. And, the covers are always fantastic.
The deck on this one is STACKED- and where else will you read an emotional vornado like Devney Perry’s Birthday List side by side with the twisted, dark magic of Amo Jones. I love that pulling them together in one book not only exposed them to new fans, but reading them side by side with other greats only helps accentuate the unique qualities that make each of these authors at the top of their field- only helps highlight their individual strengths and prowess.
The only story I had not read prior was Chelle’s, so I made sure to read that one before reviewing. And, I can say this is a beautiful bouquet of all 4-5 star reads.
We have a duet from K Bromberg- The player and The Catch. A fun sport themed romance with an alpha injured baseball player and some delicious steam and delightful banter. Full of emotional highs and lows, thick sexual tension and chemistry, and a swoon worthy leading man, you will not be disappointed in this fantastic read!
Devney Perry’s Birthday List is the perfect representation of her keen ability to write emotive, unexpected love stories that tenderly and artfully progress. Starting in an unconventional place, grief, and a woman who is trying to heal by honoring her late husband’s memory through his clever birthday list. Our heroine Poppy finds love in the most unexpected of places. This is a touching story of the bittersweet act of healing
The queen of dark WTF reads herself, Amo Jones, contributes one of her best, In Peace Lies Havoc. I love nothing more than when I let one of Amo’s books play mind. This story is consuming, dark, angsty, and TWISTED-everything I love about Amo. The chemistry, however, is some of her finest-Dove and Kingston are a FORCE- they sizzle, the push and pull is just delicious. Amo is the undisputed queen of the dark and twisted romance genre, and I love that this genre and her work is recognized for her being on the “top shelf”- her work always rocks my word and blows my mind.
Chelle Bliss’s Ensrhine- my goodness I was not expecting this story, about a girl whose life is turned upside down when her body betrays her, and she finds herself fighting for her life as she faces cancer, turning to the one man for support that everyone says she should avoid. I wasn’t expecting this to be the story- but Chelle tugs on your heart while also handling Callie’s story with love and care. These characters are as imperfect as the hard situation they find themselves in, but their connection is sweet and charming, gentle and loving as they both evolve from this life changing moment as well as grapple with the fickle concept of time, trying to savor lives precious moments rather than be paralyzed by the unknown. Intense and all the feels.
Make Me Yours is a collection of stories from four different authors, and it was a very mixed bag for me. In fact, I have ratings of one-star through to four-star in this collection. If nothing else, I can at least say I’ve finally read the four authors as I’d previously been curious.
The one-star rating was for In Peace Lies Havoc by Amo Jones. I know many people adore the author’s work, and I had been extremely curious for a long time. Unfortunately, I found the book next to impossible to work through. It was filled with cliches, inconsistencies, and a general lack of feeling that prevented me from enjoying it. There were elements in it that are sure to hook many, but the overall telling of the story did not work for me. It left me unwilling to continue with the series.
The two-star rating was for Enshrine by Chelle Bliss. This was another author I’d heard a lot of good things about, and the story seemed perfect for me as I love an emotional tale. Unfortunately, I never felt the emotion I had expected to. This was a story that should have hit hard, but I never felt any connection to the characters and the things I did have an interest in were never explored as deeply as I’d hoped. While there were some addictive moments in this one, I again found myself distracted by things that felt inconsistent.
The three-star rating was for The Player and The Catch by K. Bromberg. While there were elements of this story I did enjoy, I found it predictable and dragged out. I can see why many people have loved this duet, yet I would have enjoyed it more as a single story where things were not dragged out quite as much. Because of this, I felt things dipped at points, and I just wanted things to get moving and confirm my beliefs (which all ended up being true) to allow us to focus on the emotion instead. While I didn’t hate it, I also didn’t love it as much as I could have.
The four-star rating was for The Birthday List by Devney Perry. This was easily my favourite in the collection. By a huge amount. It was a story where I did feel the emotions and was sucked in throughout. Although a bit slow to win me completely over, it had me invested from the start, guaranteeing I was eager to see how everything would come together.
All in all, this allowed me to check some authors off my to-read list, but it only gave me one book that I truly loved.
I was super excited to get this book bundle of some new to me authors and some of my favorites! This is a great compilation for those looking to be introduced to these fabulous authors and their world of romance, form sweet and passionate, dark and angsty, to heartbreaking and making the heart beat faster, it had everything and more.
I'll snippet each story, but I highly recommend this to anyone looking for new romances authors and haven't tried some of these talented ladies.
The Player and The Catch, this story stole my heart and made me love me some baseball players. I was already a fan of Bromberg and this was one I hadn't read yet. It was sweet and smoking hot, the chemistry was off the charts for the leads and the backstory of each was wonderfully crafted, heartbreaking and they grow so much together through the story.
In Peace Lies Havoc by Amo Jones, was my first introduction to this author and boy was I surprised one this one. It is seriously dark, I was a little taken back by it and wasnt prepared for the angst the violence and the triggers that some other may not feel comfortable reading on. But I stayed up late getting sucked into this story, I needed to know the mystery. The leads were angsty and had chemistry I couldn't get enough of, but there was magic in Amo Jones' writing and I was hooked.
Enshrine is one that will hit you in all the feels. Its a story of a woman who goes on a journey to fight an illness that is tough to talk about. But this woman is tough as nails and she is brought down to her lowest. Thankfully in the form of a tall, muscular and mysterious, Bruno and her best Friend Rebecca help her not give up and its a beautiful written tear jerking story. I adored Bruno and Callies story and was happily introduced to author Chelle Blis.
The Birthday List, I had already read and boy there is not enough praise I can give Denvey Perry, she is a freaking fabulous writer and her stories (and I have read all of them) just suck me in every time. This one in particular is such a beautiful story, of a woman who loved so deep and lost. But she finds a man who helps her discover herself again and realizes she can love again too. I cant tell you enough how much I loved this story.
And I love me some HAWT alpha male Baseball men too!!!
Annnnd I love me some Banter and this book has a lot of it and I freaking loved it and couldn't get enough...lol !!! Ohhh and the sexual tension in this book is off tha charts!!! ***Must read with the air conditioner turned on!!***
So this book is definitely noooooo three strikes your out....
THIS BOOK HIT IT RIGHT OUT OF THA PARK AND RIGHT INTO A HOMERUN OF 5 ++++++++ STARS!!!!

This book will take you on a rollercoaster of emotions. There are soo many twists and turns you never seen coming. It will make your heart break, make you hold your breath, make you have tears on your face, gives you Goosebumps and even some times I would be reading this book with my mouth agape. ANNNDDDD then I would have sooo much LOVE in my heart. Y'all this book has it all!!! Sooo many feels!!! Just loved it...can you tell??? lol

**Enshrine by Chelle Bliss
Dangggg this book pulled at all my heartstrings!!!
Chelle ripped my heart out..stomped on it and then slowly and surely put it back together. Lol
The Player - Easton Wylder is baseball royalty. The game was is his life.. His passion.. His everything.. till it all came crashing down with a massive injury.. his only form of redemption.. his only way back is in the form of Scout. Scout is the daughter of the most famous PT ever - Doc Dalton. (I seriously loved Easton & Scouts first meeting..) I have loved all of K Brombergs other books.. so when I got the opportunity to read this I just had to jump in.. So glad I did.. :) but be warned.. this ends in a CLIFFY...
The Catch - K Bromberg
This is the conclusion to Scout & Easton.. this picks up where Book one left off.. and let me tell you.. K.. you done hold back the punches!!! Be prepared with this book...the truths, lies and betrayal... on what all went down surrounding the trade.. amazing job K.. ❤️
Beneath these lies - Meghan March
Beneath Series is the 5th book in this series but the first book I've read from this author. This is full of twists and turns.. Valentina our h owns an art gallery and when one of her trusted employees doesn't show up for work she gets worried. Not getting anywhere with the police (since she is not related and she is 18..) she takes things into her own hands and goes to look for her.. this is where she meets Rix.. Rix our H is the leader of a local gang.. he offers to help her find her friend and co worker.. giving her updates when he has them.. AND THAT ENDING... Didn't see that coming.. As I said this was my first book by this author and it didn't disappoint.. I will have to go back and find the others in this series and get to reading.
In Peace Lies Havoc - Amo Jones
Amo F***ing Jones has yet again. She pulled me in and wouldn't let me go till the very last word.. and I didn't want to go even then.. This book completely consumed me and left me wanting and craving more, NEEDING MORE!!!
Dove and Kingston (King) were absolute and utter perfection, the sex, the heat, and chemistry is off the charts out of this world, and the rest of the hot as HELL Brothers of Kiznitch… HOTT DAMN!!
This entire group of characters were completely phenomenal (even Val and I loved to hate her) This book / storyline was completely addicting and I could not get enough.
"Welcome to Midnight Mayhem. We are not a circus, we are not a carnival, and the only thing that you should be afraid of losing tonight, is your sanity…”
Amo hit this one out of the park! This is probably one of my TOP reads of this year!! She does not hold back on the dark, angst, and downright F**ked up Sh!t .. Phenomenal Job Amo.. I can not see where you go to next.. I need more of the Brothers Kiznitch!!
“Well, you remember that next time you have your tongue down the devil’s throat.” He chuckles. “All things sinister taste like honey.”
*yes I know I used the word phenomenal a lot.. but it really is that PHENOMENAL!!
The player Easton the all American baseball player! Hes the perfect man! Honestly! I found myself smiling all throughout the book! Even when he was mad at Scout he was still amazing! These two are a homerun from the very start!!! I'm not crying!!! I'm really not! The Catcher! The 2nd book to Easton and Scouts story was a beautiful chaos! The ups and downs and secrets come to light. I was shocked more than a few times while reading! That was the best HEA I've read in a while!! 5 stars for both The Player and The Catcher!
In peace lies havoc by Amo Jones I've already read and reviewed this book. Heres my previously posted review for it. I don't even know where to begin! Can we curse in reviews?! Probably not! In peace lies havoc is phenomenal! Amo takes you through mayhem with her words. Each brother has his own personality that differs from the other. Dove doesnt remember anything from before her parents died. The brothers know something. King wants to kill Dove but at the same time he wants her but shes not his to want. Midnight Mayhem is not a circus. Theres no rides because it's not for kids. At midnight the psychos come out to dance. Everything becomes clear to Dove and suddenly she remembers. This highly anticipated book will have you wanting more of the brothers of Kiznitch. From start to finish I was immersed in this world. Loving and hating the characters. Unexpected plot twists, secrets and wooo wooo a visit!!! You are not going to want to miss this world!!! I recieved an ARC in exchange for an honest review. This book needs more stars than 5!
Enshrine by Chelle Bliss Now I am crying! Enshrine is such a beautifully told story. Callie's fight with cancer really shows you how she struggled with the stages of being diagnosed. Bruno! What an amazing male character. A man with a heart of gold. I fell in love with him from the moment he broke her door down. And even more in love as he helped her fight her way to being a survivor. 5 bright shooting stars!!!
The Birthday List by Devney Perry This book definitely belongs in this 'Make Me Yours' collection. Cole and Poppy are so perfect. Cole is perfect! He helps her do her dead husbands birthday list and I swear I grew more and more in love with him every time Poppy asked if he would do something and he said "in a heartbeat" this story shows a grieving widow finding that it's okay to love again and man coming to terms with loving a woman who has loved another and always will. 5 beautiful stars!!!!
These stories were perfectly chosen to feature in this collection of Make Me Yours. Every story shows the lengths a person will go to make the one they love theirs. I recieved an ARC in exchange for a honest review
K. Bromberg has given us another fabulous read with The Player. Easton Wylder is a professional baseball player and on top of his game, until an injury by another player sidelines him. Doc Dalton has the reputation of being the best in the business getting athletes back in the lineup. His daughter Scout Dalton has worked with her dad for years rehabbing athletes. Her father assigns her the task of rehabbing Easton and to prove that she is not only up for the challenge, but quite capable and good at what she does. Her success will determine whether or not her father gets a contract with the Aces, the one team he has never worked for. Will Scout be able to rehab Easton on schedule or is her father always going to be chasing that one team to complete his career.
This was an great story. A story that will have you laughing at the wittiness and banter, and falling in love with Easton Wylder and Scout Dalton, while cheering them on to make the deadline. It's a story of trust, love, friendship, fighting for what you want, and not compromising who you are to reach your goals.
The Player is a must read. I enjoyed this book so much, I have already read it a second time and will most definitely read it again.
The Catch
The Catch is the second and final book in the Duet series. K. Bromberg is so talented that she will have you laughing, crying, and feeling every emotion that Easton and Scout are going through. Just when you think you have figured everything out, Ms. Bromberg throws you a "curve ball" sending you in another direction. The Catch has many meanings, ones you will "catch" while reading this amazing story. Every question you had after reading The Player and more will be answered.
Easton has become my favorite Bromberg character. This Duet is the best read of 2017 bar none. K. Bromberg will keep you spellbound from beginning to end. If you read anything this year, The Player and The Catch Duet is a Must. I still have a book hangover, it was so, so good.
The story has pain, sadness, grief, secrets, and heartbreak.
This is Poppy and Cole’s story. Poppy is trying to live life by a birthday list written long ago. She tries every adventure no matter the heartbreak it brings. If she can finish the list maybe she can move on with her life and finally start living for herself. But will Cole make her see more then her shattered heart? Can he help heal her oh so fragile heart?
I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
I recommend this book.
The Player by K Bromberg 4.5 star
I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, pain, and heartbreak.
This is Scout and Easton’s story. When an injury threatens Easton’s season they call in Doc Dalton. What he gets is the Doc’s daughter Scout. She’s hot but can she help him? Scout is out to prove she can handle the pressure from the MBL. But is she in over her head? She must make sure Easton makes it back onto the field happy and healthy. Can she handle that pressure? Or will chemistry ruin her before she can prove she is the right one for the job? She must touch him to heal him after all. Physical therapy required all kinds of physical contact. Is she about to get burned?
I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
I highly recommend this book.
The Catch by K Bromberg 5 star
I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, pain, secrets, and heartbreak.
If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first The Player (The Player #1)
This is more of Scout and Easton’s story. When Easton gets hurt he gets mad when Scout tells him he is not ready. He is not happy and starts questioning everything even the love between him and Scout. What else is everyone keeping from him? Can he trust anyone after he thinks Scout went behind his back? He has his own secrets that are about to be revealed but will it change everything? Or will he move on after being pushed to his limit?
I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
I highly recommend this book.
In Peace Lies Havoc by Amo Jones 4 star
The story has pain, sadness, anger, fear, secrets, and heartbreak.
This is Dove and King’s story. This story started out a little slow and I had to force myself to keep reading. This is the first book I read from this author but will not be the last. Once the story finally got going it was interesting. Not what I expected but still it pulls you in. With Dove being so quiet you wonder if she will be enough for King. But in the end will King win her over or will she just have more bad experiences from meeting him?
I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
I recommend this book.
Enshrine by Chelle Bliss 5 star
The story has laughs, pain, sadness, anger, fear, secrets, and heartbreak.
This is Callie and Bruno’s story. I was sucked right into Enshrine. It was different then Chelle’s usual hot and dirty books but I still loved it. You could feel all the emotions Callie was suffering. You get to experience them all right alongside of her. You could feel the love that these two had and how it changed Callie. Callie and Bruno start their relationship at a time when some people would rather not. This just makes the couple stronger. That makes them both better people in the end and stronger supporters of each other. When all the secrets are revealed will it change how you look at either of them? I loved the beginning and the ending POV being his but the book being hers. Would love to read about some of the other characters that were in this story. Can’t wait to see what Chelle has in store for us next.
I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
"Easton Wylder is baseball royalty. The game is his life. His passion. His everything.
So, when an injury threatens to end Easton’s season early, the team calls in the renowned physical therapist, Doc Dalton, to oversee his recovery. Except it’s not Doc who greets Easton for his first session, but rather his daughter, Scout. She may be feisty, athletic, defiant, and gorgeous, but Easton is left questioning whether she has what it takes to help him.
Scout Dalton’s out to prove a female can handle the pressure of running the physical therapy regimen of an MLB club. And that proof comes in the form of getting phenom Easton Wylder back on the field. But getting him healthy means being hands-on.
And with a man as irresistible as Easton, being hands-on can only lead to one thing, trouble. Because the more she touches him, the more she wants him, and she can’t want him. Not when it’s her job to side in the club’s best interest if he’s ready to play.
But when sparks fly and fine lines are crossed, can they withstand the heat or is one of them bound to get burned? "
Oh my! This book was so good. I loved the characters that K Bromberg wrote in this book. Scout is such a strong woman but has been badly hurt in the past everyone leaves is her moto and is now trying to make her fathers bucket list come true with this major contract except she did not realize what she was signing up for but no other than the charming, hot and oh so talented Easton.
Easton is trying day by day to break down the walls that Scout is holding up around her heart. He likes her more than he should and really wants to see where this goes between them outside of the locker room as well as in it. But he just can not figure her out.
The chemistry between these two is off the charts and the witty banter they have is amazing. I have been a hugs fan of K Bromberg's and was very worried to read this book after the Driven series but this book is up there just right next to it. I can not wait to read the next book. This book left at a cliffhanger and I want more!!!! I highly recommend reading this book. She did an outstanding job!
The catch:
Easton and Scout What can I say they are amazing. The chemistry still rocks between these two on the field and off. You will swoon you will feel the emotions that are written on the pages and you will fall in love all over again. This story continues with Easton finding out he has been traded to another team and he is feeling like everyone is betraying him even Scout. This story is not simple Scout and Easton are having their relationship put through the test. Just when you thing they are good someone else will throw a curveball in their way. But these two definitely know that love sure does conquer all. Such a sweet book and definitely a great summer read. You will want to read it again and again. Thank you K. Bromberg for another amazing series.
5 Stars all the way!

IN PEACE LIES HAVOC (Midnight Mayhem #1) by Amo Jones
In Peace Lies Havoc is a deliciously dark, twisted and a unique story that will captivate you.
After the murder of Dove's parents she was haunted by the Shadow. One night she was kidnapped and taken to the Midnight Mayhem by the Brothers of Kiznitch.
King and Dove's journey begins with the Brothers of Kiznitch. All is not as it seems.
A talented author who has written a unique masterpiece. Can't wait to read the next installments!!
ENSHRINE by Chelle Bliss
Enshrine is a beautiful inspirational story for anyone who has or had cancer. For me it hit home.
We often take life for granted until our world is turned upside down and our emotions start spiraling downwards.
Bruno and Callie's journey as she battles cancer. Bruno's unconditional love it what it takes to bring her from darkness into the light and make her realize life is worth living.
Bruno's mom is hilarious! No filter woodstock hippie.
THE BIRTHDAY LIST. (Maysen Jar #1)by Devney Perry
After the murder of Poppy's husband she felt the only way to find closure and not forget her soulmate was to accomplish his birthday bucket list.
Cole was the police officer who broke the news to Poppy about her husband.
Five years later Poppy and Cole were reunited. There was a chemistry between them. Cole was very patient with Poppy until she could found closure. He even helped her with her husband's bucket list.
Amo Jones has dark magic in her finger tips. The dark, exhilarating and chaotic energy is flowing in her words. And In Peace Lies Havoc will wreck your heart and soul. This is an epic and breathtaking story of toxic vengeance, intoxicating passion and twisted mind games. Everything you crave from Amo Jones yet completely unexpected and unsettling. In Peace Lies Havoc by Amo Jones has created a beautifully devastating mess in my heart. The angst has ripped my heart. The sickeningly deviant power play has mesmerized me and enthralled me. And I simply need more.
Review of The Player and The Catch by K. Bromberg
I can always trust K. Bromberg to deliver a heartbreaking and inspiring love story with plenty of heat. Easton and Scout's explosive and soul deep romance in The Player and The Catch was no exception. Baseball superstar Easton Wylder always tries to be better because he wants to prove himself, especially to his father. And he is devastated and frustrated when he gets injured in middle of season. And Scout Dalton is assigned to him. Daughter of the most famous physiotherapist in the circuit, she is herself a top notch therapist. It starts with some fun, some reluctance, some banter and some simmering momenrs..till Easton and Scout fall for each other. But so much is at stake. Easton's career. Scout's promise to her dying father.
Easton is the kind of broken badboy with sex appeal oozing from every walk and talk. You will fall in love with his vulnerable heart and swoonworthy charm. I just adore him for how he cherished Scout. She is a fierce and sassy woman with biggest heart ever! She healed Easton even when she was hurting. Of course they will make epic mistakes. The author took me to emotional hell where my heart was shredded apart but it was blissful amazingness! Another intense and passionate duet from K. Bromberg!
I have only read one of the stories in this anthology because of all the other books that I have.
The one that I did read was The Birthday List by Denvey Perry. This book was so good but gutted me at the same time. This book made me cry and that usually takes a lot to do.
Poppy Maysen had the perfect life. She was happily married to the love of her life. Her perfect life changes in the blink of an eye. With her husband gone her life will never be the same.
5 years later she is the proud owner of The Maysen Jar diner. This is one of the many things on a birthday list/book that her late husband started. When Cole Goodman a walks into the diner Poppy is brought to the past.
Cole is a detective with the Bozeman Police Department. 5 years ago when he delivers the news that no one wants to hear he knew something was special about her. When he sees her 5 years later he knows she is the one. The only thing is she is working through he late husband's birthday list. Also convincing Poppy of what he knows/feels will not be that easy. Helping her work through this list really brings them closer together.
Working through the list with Cole helps Poppy see that it is okay to be happy and even with her husband being gone he will never be forgotten. Will Poppy be able to move on?
This book was an emotional roller coaster but still very beautiful at the same time.
When I have time I will be going back to read the rest of the stories.

Five star rating to this amazing collection and all the authors in it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️📚❤️
This anthology has all my favorite authors in one place, I have loved each and everyone one of these books, Definitely won't regret purchasing this. The player and the catch I have read both these stories when they came out, but they will always be my favorites. So of course I re read them and fell in love all over again with Scout and Easton. Their struggles , insecurities, loss and loves. Damn I loved these books! In peace lies havoc Holy what a read this was, had my mind going everywhere. I couldn't get a grasp of what would happen, which I love in a read, makes me read faster. Enshrine Bruno the butcher, the alpha male with the softest side ever, or maybe that was only for Callie. He finds her when she needed someone the most, when she needed someone to save her from herself. Callie is independent, and so strong willed, it takes Bruno what feels like forever to break her walls down. What an amazingly sad happy story this was. Loved it. Beneath these lies Holy! That is about all I have to say about Rix! He is one intense alpha, but those are all we know from Ms. March. Valentina needs exactly that, someone to take control of her life and make her step out of her comfort zone, in a good way. These two together are hot af!
Once again Top Shelf Romance come hard with their collection and knock it all the way out the park.
I received an advance copy of this for review and my opinions are my own and haven't been influenced.
The Player by K.Bromberg (4*) This is my second (and third ) sports romance by her and she does them well. The emotions were super high in this one. This is a hate to love story between Easton who plays baseball and Scout who's trying to make her name is an injury rehab specialist. I really enjoyed this. The ending blew me away. The Catch by K.Bromberg (4.5*) This picks up where The Player left off and not only is the steamy scenes off the charts, so is the emotions. In Peace Lies Havoc by Amo Jones (5+) a reread for me and definitely cemented itself as a favourite of the year. The angst mixed with the dark atmosphere gives me chills. The Birthday List by Devney Perry (5*) This one made me cry. It was as heartbreaking as it was uplifting. I fall more in love with this authors writing with every book. Enshrine by Chelle Bliss (5*) Made me cry. I wasn't expecting the subject matter at all and therefore hadn't prepared myself, but this might be my favourite book in this collection.
I loved every single one of Devney's books but this one is so special! Sadly I could understand Poppy all too well and that made the story personal and that's also why it's my new favourite. Poppy is so strong and so graceful in her grief. She has such courage and in doing Jamie's list she also finds herself again..it's heartwarming as much as it's heartbreaking. Cole..God, this man! His strength and his support, his ability to both calm her and turn her world upside down. He is just perfect for her! I loved these two but I also adored Jimmy and the other amazing characters. Such beautiful story!
Enshrine
wow! I read plenty of this author's books but I never read this one before..so I was very happy it was in this anthology! I have to say the story it's very emotional and very raw. I devoured it and loved every second.
The player and the catch
I read pretty much all this author's books and for some reason I didn't this time around. I am very happy I did. I wasn't always a fan of sport romance but it changed a while ago and this one was absolutely fantastic. Easton and Scout are thrown quite a few curveballs but I love that they are always sharing and talking and open with each other. It's quite a rollercoaster but it's also heartwarming and sexy.
I can honestly say this is a top must-read book, Amo has taken her writing to a top new level, Kingston and Dove's story is to rival her previous books. This was one ride I didn't want to end, it took me to places I never thought possible and grabbed me until it ended. Everything turned, twisted, and simply had my mind blown. A perfect dark romance, great unique plotline, characters you will love and I just can't wait for more. Outstanding 5 stars!
The Player and The Catch by K Bromberg
I absolutely love this sports romance, K Bromberg is a one-click author and so is this book. Easton & Scout's story is fantastic, from the time they meet up until the last page.
The Birthday List by Denvey Perry
I really enjoyed this story, I have been wanting to read it for a while and now was a great time to do it, definitely loved Cole and Poppy, it was full of emotions and total heartwrenching.
Enshrine by Chelle Bliss
Fantastic read, full of angst and suspense. I definitely couldn't stop reading it until the end.
Make Me Yours is Top Shelf Romance's fourth collection of romance novels.
Here's my review of the first novel in the collection, The Birthday List by Devney Perry:
Cole and Poppy's story is one that will stay with me for years to come.
Beautifully written, this emotional roller coaster's main characters are so well-developed. Poppy is strong and kind; Cole is patient and understanding.
The secondary characters are just as interesting. Jimmy and Randall's antics were entertaining and bring much-needed comic relief to this emotional tale.
I highly recommend not only this novel, but the rest of this collection.
Make Me Yours is a collection of romance novels, either standalones or complete duets. Some of the novels desk with sensitive subjects some may find triggering. No cliffhanger.
Make Me Yours by various authors is volume four in the Top Shelf Romance World. The previous volumes are Kiss Me Slow; Need You Now; and Promise Me Forever.
Make Me Yours contains In Peace Lies Havoc by Amo Jones;
The Birthday List by Devney Perry
The Player and The Catch by K. Bromberg
The Birthday List by Devney Perry blew me away. I can´t say how much I love this book. Devney Perry is a new author to me and I´m very happy I gave The Birthday List a chance. I love her writing and I love the words. The characters and I clicked immediatedly and it was a pleasure reading this story.
Poppy Maysen's live is perfect. She´s happily married to the love of her life, job´s great and life´s good. That changes in the blink of an eye. And now nothing is as it was anymore. Her husband´s gone and her life´s over - so it seems. Fast forward, 5 years later she´s the proud owner of The Maysen Jar, a diner/restaurant. One of her customers is Cole Goodman. Cole is a 31 year old detective with the Bozeman Police Departement. It takes him one look at her and he knows she´s his one. Now he only has to convince Poppy. Easy peasy - not. Poppy is still grieving her late husband. She´s working on his bucket - aka - birthday list. Cole is a good man and he does everything to make Poppy happy and his.
The Birthday List is a heartwrenching emotional and at the same time beautiful story. The book has everything what I love in a great read. It was nothing like expected and everything I could have asked for at the same time. I recommend The Birthday List .
The Catch by K. Bromberg is the second installment in The Player Duet. The Catch is not a stand alone. I recommend to read book one, The Player, first. The Catch picks up where The Player ends. Easton Wylder , a baseball superstar was seriously wounded. With the help from Scout, his physical therapist and now girlfriend, he claws his way back to the top. But then it seems Scout does the ultimate betrayal to Easton. But nothing is as it seems. Nothing! This book is so full of unexpected twists and turns, it had me at the edge of my seat the whole time. I read it in one sitting, I couldn´t put it down. The Catch has everything in it, from drama over heart break to a beautiful lovestory. I can only say, Wow- just wow. I loved everything about the book, the words, the writing, the characters and the storyline. I highly recommend The Catch and give 5 Stars.
Enshrine by Chelle Bliss
Standalone novel, excellent written , unputdownable.
Make Me Yours is book 4 in the Top Shelf Romance series. This series is bring some great authors together with some really good books. This set is also a really get box set with 4 books that gives you the chance to read books from authors you might not have before. I am a big fan of some of these authors so for me is was a great way to get my 'fix' on their writing. You cannot go wrong with this set or any really in the Top Shelf Romance series. Here are the books that you are getting in this box set: The Birthday List by Denvey Perry The Player & The Catch by K Bromberg In Peace Lies Havoc by Amo Jones Enshrine by Chelle Bliss
So far, I've read K Bromberg's Player Duet, and absolutely loved these two books! The story centers around our baseball extraordinaire Hero, Easton Wylder and his physical therapist heroine, Scout Dalton. This is not your run of the mill, "jock falls for his physical therapist" story, (spoiler alert...he does). Both Easton and Scout have respective family issues that factor heavily into their relationship story. The duet features emotionally charged angsty, romantic, and bring-you-to tears heartbreaking moments that culminate into a hard fought HEA. If you enjoy stories that grip you emotioinally, this is a great anthology for you!
Another hit from Top Shelf Romance! I've said it once and I’ll say it again but I love that these collections allow me to read from new authors. Devney Perry, Chelle Bliss and K. Bromberg are new to me, though I know about their books, this was the first time I've read anything from them and I’m so glad I did. Each of these stories drew me in and I am so glad that these collections keep coming out! It's such great way to read things from new authors in one book.
⭐⭐⭐⭐
I received an eARC of this collection in exchange for an honest review.
Y'all. Top Shelf Romance keeps amazing me with these anthologies. They either remind me of some of my favorite books by some of my favorite authors OR they introduce me to new amazing authors. I just devoured this entire book! Each story had me so emotional and drawn into the stories. I so can't wait to discover more books by these amazing women, and I can't wait to see what Top Shelf Romance puts together next!!
Four stars for four amazing Authors. Each story will capture your heart and make your toes tingle. All romances but all very different. I hadn’t read Devney Perry or Amo Jones before and have to ask myself why because they are definitely on my TBR list now. K. Bromberg and Chelle Bliss never fail to deliver and are well worth a reread. It’s the perfect package and a wonderful way to meet new Authors or reconnect with those you are already familiar with.
I was already a fan of K Bromberg, Chelle Bliss and Devney Perry so knew I would love several of these books. This was my first Amo Jones book but won't be my last. This group of authors brought their A game and gave us angst, laughter, love, tears and heartbreak. Everything from hot and steamy to sweet and slow romance. Highly recommend any of these great authors!
Oh man what a fabulous set of stories all in one place. They each have their own way of drawing you in and not letting you go until the story is finished. They range from the dark and twisted side of romance to the gut wrenching, heartbreaking beautiful and sad and everything in between. I adored each one for their own reasons and was thrilled to have a diverse set of stories to read.
