See No Evil

They thought they could get away with it, but they are sorely mistaken.
They have been judged. They have been sentenced. All that remains is their execution.
No one goes unpunished. We’ll make sure of it.
We are The Society and all who dare cross us will find their miserable end by our hand.
Don’t be fooled. This is not their story.
It’s ours.
Finn
As long as I can remember, I’ve played by the rules.
On and off the football field, I’ve done everything that has been expected of me.
Until that fatal night.
Now my life and the lives of my best friends hang in the balance, hung there by a sadistic sinister shadow forcing us to do their will.
And it’s just my damn luck that I’m the first to be put on their butcher’s block.
I must prove my worth by eradicating a certain pebble in their shoe.
The order is simple.
To save ourselves, I must ruin another—a life for a life.
Meaning Stone Bennett’s life is about to be forfeited in exchange for my own.
The poor girl never stood a chance.
Stone
He’s all American perfection.
I’m the poster child for this country’s rejects.
He’s old Asheville money and privilege.
I’m the Southie eyesore people stay clear from.
He’s caviar dreams and champagne wishes.
I’m the trailer trash his momma probably warned him about.
I doubt it can get any further away from the elitist’s social spectrum than the two of us.
So why the hell is Finn Walker, Richfield’s football god, suddenly all in my face wanting my attention?
Nothing good can come from this.
I can feel it.

'SEE NO EVIL:' Is the first full length 'New Adult' romance in (The Society #1) series by Ivy Fox. This is Finn and Stone's story, spoken in 'Dual Perspectives.'

5 BRAT & QUARTERBACK STARS

Meet the four boys in their twenties (Easton Price, cousins Colt and Lincoln Hamilton and Finn Walker).

❝ None of us exactly have sparkling personalities-I'm a dick, Easton is a conceited prick, and Colt is a moody fucker. The only one that something nice can be said about is Lincoln. But that's just because he's genuinely a good guy underneath it all.❞

One look at the cover and like a whore on crack my stalking levels went into overdrive, but needless to say though, the synopsis and the author who always delivers unique reads sealed the deal! I couldn’t wait to jump in with both feet as soon as this landed on my iPad! Life in quarantine was forgotten!

When all their lives did a full one-eighty with a snap of a finger, they thought they had all gotten away with murder, now they all have blood on their hands. But someone knows what they did that spring, and that person is going to knock them down a peg or two and make them pay for their sins.

First up is Finn, our quarterback god, unluckily for him he's been handed a mysterious black letter by 'The Society' or so they believe. He's been given a task, one that he has to complete or suffer the consequences. And this task is to befriend Stone Bennett.

let-the-games-begin-gif-2.gif

He knows nothing about her, after doing some digging he finds out that she's a Southie who comes from the wrong side of the tracks.

As his eyes make contact with the girl he's set to ruin he can't get over how different she is compared to the twig thin debutant girls northside he's accustomed to. From her bluish black hair, to her tattoos and piercings and the curves she's rocking Finn is struck speechless. ❝ Tattoos, thick thighs, and pretty eyes. A lethal combination that ensures I'm fucked.❞

❝ If sleeping with Stone Bennett is how I get them off my back, then that's what I'll have to do. I mean, how hard can it be to seduce that devil's spawn anyway.❞

The beginning had me sitting up taking note, and from that point onwards I was eating out of this author's hands, eating up her words at record speeds knowing that somewhere along the way small pieces to the puzzle would divulge itself.

These two were dynamite, their chemistry, and sexual overdrive sizzled off the pages, they were beyond hot and I couldn’t get enough of them. Our heroine Stone gave our hero a run for his money, tough, sassy, a ball breaker who works hard to achieve her dreams. And Finn our hot, popular quarterback, with his shy, sweet, sexy dirty talking mouth made these two a perfect combination.

Throw in a few stalker moments, a few games, a few rolls in the hay and and I was beyond hooked!! This book is utterly unputdownable and unpredictable in every sense of the word. A unique, suspenseful read which had me sitting on the edge of my seat. I can not wait for the next book!!

***5 "Pretty Boy & the Brat!!!" stars***

...AVAILABLE NOW...

"Secrets don't stay buried for long."

Wow!!!! I knew i had to read a book or ten by the very talented Ivy Fox!!!!
I freakin' loved this story and of course, it wasn't enough!!! I need more and more and more!!!!
This story was perfect from every aspect!!!
Ivy knows how to write a complicated story that can grab you from the first moment!!!

"I always knew their inslolence was going to be their downfall. They should have watched their backs, but because they haven't, they will now be looking behind it every second of every day until I finally end them. Once and for all."

So what are we having in here???
Four hot boys with huge secrets? Check.
One sassy and very intelligent heroine that is no some damsel in distress and she could hold her own? Check.
A big bloody secret that is connecting with these said boys? Check.
A great mystery around who are behind "The Society" and why they had set their eyes upon our boys? Check.
Suspense, lies, secrets, steamy and hot moments, sweet and sour moments and many charming perplexing characters??? All the checks in the world!!!!

"We are all wearing masks. Lincoln, Easton, Colt. Even me. We are pretending to be something we will never be again -innocent."

"Everyone has their demons to face, Stone. The place where you're born doesn't factor much into it."
"Got a lot of monsters keeping you awake at night, do you?"
"More than most."

There are four hot, wealthy and entitled males in their twenties in here that are bound together with a loyal and great friendship since childhood!!!!
Before some months, something bad happened!!!!
Don't ask me what, i might not know all the details yet, but i have my theories!!!
At the present, theboys are still tight between them, but there is something that is eating them deep down inside...
Their lives will never be the same after that night, and now, the Society are after them hanging upon their heads their dark secret.
In order to have a sort of peace of their mind, they have to do whatever is asked of them....
Their first victim is Finn...

"Is there really a choice? No, there isn't. It's not only Linc's life at stake. We're all in this. If one of us goes down, we all go."

Finn has to come closer to a different girl than he used to, but for what reason, he really doesn't know...
He's just trying to complete his task in order for him and his friends to be released from the tight hold that The Society is having upon them.
What's the thing that he couldn't ever imagine???
That this sassy, mouthy, little thing could get under his skin and imprint herself in there...

"Tattoos, thick thighs, and pretty eyes. A lethal combination that ensures I'm fucked."

Stone is only a target for The Society. Nothing more, nothing less. For all our sakes, it will pay me well to remember that."

Stone wasn't a girl that a man like Finn could ever make a move...
She was from the wrong side of the town, the opposite of Finn's, and she is busting herself off to make her dreams come true.
She doesn't need an entitled preppy asshole to chase her ass all the time...
But she has to admit that he is very persistent and very pretty on the eyes.
How long she can resist him???

"Men shouldn't be this fucking pretty. It makes smart girls do stupid things, and I'm way too smart to be this stupid."

"It will be a cold day in hell before I admit that Finn Walker has any effect on me whatsoever."

Well, as you can see, things are kind of complicated in here from every aspect...
I have to admit that Finn usually is not my type of guy!!! But in a weird way, i adored this predujiced hulk of a man with soft heart....
Yep, he was kind of an asshole in the beginning, but he managed to earn my heart.
Of course, his conversations with his dick were so darn funny!!!

"I don't do feelings. And I sure as shit don't get them for smart-mouthed girls with too much attitude for their own good.
So why the fuck am I feeling dejected? Why is she all I can think about lately?"

"Stone has become more important to me than I could have ever imagined.
Maybe even more important than my freedom."

As for Stone??? Gawd, this girl seemed to be craved from stone, but Finn started to broke down her stony walls and i loved what i see in there!!!
I loved how sassy and feisty she were!!! I liked how good she was handling Finn's ass!!!!
Her character was admirable!!!
These two together were pure fire!!! They were so perfect for each other, especially since they were so imperfect in their own!!!

"I knew he'd be a distraction. I just never assumed he'd be this all-consuming."

"You scare me, Finn. So fucking much.
"I'm scared too, Stone."
"You are?"
"Petrified."
"So what are we going to do?"
"Be scared together. Because being scared with you is the most alive I have ever felt."

And now, i can't wait for the rest of the books, especially Easton's story!!!
I'm so curious of what will happen with this brunette and how the whole thing with Society will be played out...
Of course, I'm having a ton of theories, but i can't do nothing more than wait for the next book!!!
Please, Ivy!!! Hurry up!!!

"Ready or not, Easton, your time has come."

*****************************************

"It doesn't matter if you're born dirt poor or filthy rich. That shouldn't define us. Only the choices we make in life should.
And it dawns on me that I've already made my choice."

may 2021 be the year when authors see the light and stop writing bully romance as dark romance with a group of rich and preppy guys acting like they have the big dick energy when they really don't.

— however, i really cannot review this book because i barely got past the 10% mark so i don't even know the story except for what was in the blurb and just the names of the characters. honestly, for me this book felt like a repeated cycle of many other "dark romances" that were released this year and especially when you have seen the same model on almost every book cover *cough book 2 cover cough* in just some months alone, you can kinda guess the book is also going to be similar as the others. BUT, i have to say iM actually interested in the side characters more than the mains of this book like Easton and Colt especially Colt Turner because he kinda so far seems like my type of character so i might just pick up book two instead of finishing this one.

Another interesting premise ruined by the author choosing to embrace crappy stereotypes of “badass” women. Maybe I take this personally because if the hellish childhood that I lived through, but I just can’t stand authors that do this. You can be strong, tough and a badass heroine without having to be slutty, not caring about your body (ie who you let in it). Why do authors do this? Not everyone who has a rough childhood has Daddy issues so bad that they don’t value themselves. I can’t understand how they think jumping in bed with every guy who wants to use you as a cum-dumpster makes you strong or a badass. Most of my favorite heroines haven’t been virgins, no one needs to be, but having some self respect is number one on my list to actually liking the heroine. Especially if you are going to write someone who lived my life.

See No Evil (The Society, #1
Ivy Fox
Main Characters: Finn Walker & Stone Bennett

I'm a bit nervous now for the second book since the series opens a great run.

"I’ll give them enough time to develop a false sense of security."

"I won’t just make their poor existence a nightmare, but I’ll make sure that everything they do from here on out will be for my gain. Stack the cards in my favor for once."

Omfg! I did finish this like 3 days ago, and dear lord I'm so in love with the story, I have a book hangover!

This isn't my first rodeo, I love Ivy Fox ever since Heartless (Pembrooke series) and Rotten Duet. I'm such a big fan. Her writing style is a phenomenon, and characters wise are always intriguing and meritorious encompassing a cohesive plot.

And now after reading another book of her, I will say this baby is a contender for my top reads in 2020, everything about this book is perfection - from an atmospheric world-building, the mystery revolving around SOCIETY and remarkable characterization.

"I always knew their insolence was going to be their downfall."

See Evil is Finn's story. *Sighs* I love Finn he's such a sweet, loving character. He's a Teddy 🐻. And Stone is the perfect girl for him. Opposites do attract.

"In the same woods where I once promised my loyalty, I now promise—with my body, heart, and soul—my never-ending love to her."

"Tattoos, thick thighs, and pretty eyes. I never stood a chance, A lethal combination that ensures I’m fucked."

Stone Bennet is a strong badass heroine.

"I’m the poster child for this country’s rejects.
He’s old Asheville money and privilege.
I’m the Southie eyesore that people steer clear from.
He’s caviar dreams and champagne wishes.
I’m the trailer trash his momma probably warned him about."

This book was EVERYTHING!! So so good! Amazing start to what will most likely be a phenomenal series. So many secrets, twists and turns. The mystery is thick in this read.

4 wealthy and popular friends who hold a secret that could destroy them all. One by one. Unless, they follow along and do as they are told.

Finn and Stone were damn near perfection. Two people who you would think would never mesh. You'd be surprised just how well they actually do. They brought together by deception, but love can blossom from all the lies and hurt. Gah, I loved them so much!

"𝘽𝙚 𝙨𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙢𝙚, 𝙎𝙩𝙤𝙣𝙚. 𝘽𝙚 𝙬𝙝𝙤𝙡𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙢𝙚. 𝙅𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙛𝙪𝙘𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙗𝙚 𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙚"

I can't wait to read about the other guys in the group. They will be just as great as Finn and the ladies will be just as strong and brave as Stone. I'm here for the ride... no matter how bumpy or long it is!!

This is not a dark fic, but it's a super good series.

Finn (quarterback, rich family, shy) attends college with his 3 BFFs, Easton, Colt, and Lincoln. They all participated in a crime at the beginning of the summer which resulted in the death of Lincoln's parents. They get a note from a group claiming to be "The Society" saying that they will reveal the truth of what happened unless they complete a task. The first task is for Finn to get close with a girl from the wrong side of town. Stone (law student, kickass FMC) has no interest in the rich quarterback, but she's hot for his dick so she takes control and rides it. I approve of that! While Finn is getting close to Stone, they end up falling for each other. Part of the truth comes out, they breakup/makeup, ends on a cliffy with mysteries that won't be solved until the end of the 4th book.

I thought I wouldn't like like this book because Finn wasn't the alpha I was expecting. In the second book, Easton describes Finn as "sensitive soul, easily damaged and taken advantage of." I ended up loving him by the end of the series and I'm so glad Ms. Dess convinced me to keep going.

Stone: I really love Stone. She took control over her sexuality and didn't act like an innocent virgin too afraid to say what she wanted. If she wanted it, she took it. I'm here for that!!! What I didn't like was relying on the trope of "I've gotta work hard for money to take care of my unappreciative crackhead mom who doesn't do anything but take from me but she's my mom and I have to do this for her while she fucks abusive men" bullshit.

I'm gave this book 3 stars because there were some things that I think could have been improved on.

SERIES INFO
I buddy read this with Ms. Dess, which was awesome except that she's a speed reader. We were able to figure out a lot of the mystery as we went, but it still gave us a few shockers.

FMCs: Pretty much all of the FMCs are badass women. They don't take shit from anyone and they are in complete control of their sexuality. They also stand up for for themselves and I appreciated that so much. This series is total girl power.

MYSTERY: I actually enjoyed the mystery. This first book was a little frustrating because so much was left open, but each book gives you just enough to keep going. I'm so glad I didn't give up on this.

REPEATS: This author has several phrases that she repeated and they drove me bonkers:
popping the "p"
overuse of the word macabre
pregnant pause
lean my temple to kiss hers

THIS. BOOK.

I am here for this whole series. The author notes that each book can be read as standalones but each book has an entwines subplot that will be resolved in the final book. And after reading this first book, you’ll want and need the rest.

The prologue and epilogue are from the point of view from the unknown character on a mission to bring down the group of guys who are closer than friends (and cousins), they’re brothers. Introducing: Lincoln, Colt, Easton, and Finn. These guys have a secret they spent the summer running from and now this UC (The Society) wants to make them pay. They start their revenge plot with Finn.

Finn is from the “north side” of town, meaning he comes from money and his family is part of the Elite. He’s the quarterback and the captain of the college football team. He’s wanted by all the girls he goes to school with because of everything he has and represents. His mission is to befriend and destroy Stone Bennett. A girl from the “southside” of town. But where she’s from taught her to be a complete badass. Shes not impressed by his status and is going to give Finn a run for his money. She’s covered in piercings and tattoos and nothing like the debutants he’s used to.

These two characters stole my heart. They had amazing chemistry and the sex scenes were hot. What started off as a mission to follow The Society’s ordered quickly turned into an amazing romance.

I have my theory about who is behind The Society and i need the rest of the series to come out now (please and thanks). Can’t wait for Easton’s book!!

This is the first book in The Society series by Ivy Fox! See No Evil starts out sharing a bit about all the main characters in the overall series so pay close attention. I especially love when the authors drop little tidbits about them randomly throughout the book…be careful, if you’re too focused on trying to get to the meat of the book you can definitely miss finding out valuable things about the main characters of the overall series.
Finn, Easton, Colt & Lincoln are the town’s most popular boys, the princes of Asheville you could say. These are the guys that every other guy wants to be friends with & every girl wants to be with. Something they did put them on The Society’s radar and now they MUST PAY! I loved the dangerous aspect to this novel, the unknown…Who is it? Where are they? Can they see me? What do they really want? What if I don’t do what they want?
I absolutely LOVE suspense mixed with romance, it’s one of my favorite tropes to read.

My absolute favorite moment of the entire book might just be Stone & Finn’s first meeting. The chemistry between these two is sizzling; this is something to me that is a necessary quality in any of the books I read. Finn Walker & Stone Bennett are two people whose paths have never crossed, both coming from different walks of life. However, the Society has deemed it necessary for them to meet and what seems to be an easy enough task, has now become the hardest task that Finn has ever had to face.

Stone is the epitome of what I look for in a heroine. OMG, I love her feisty & sassy attitude mixed with her immense need to do right in the world. She’s tough and determined to do what needs to be done to get where she wants to go…and she won’t let ANYONE stand in her way.
Finn is the rich & it looks like this all American football god is handed everything his heart desires, that couldn’t be further from the truth! There’s SO MUCH that NO ONE knows about this guy….but Stone is about to find out and when she does she might not be able to be as indifferent to him as she wants to be! From the moment these two actually meet, the sparks fly…at first you’re not sure if it’s from indifference, hatred or attraction but either way it’s intoxicating to see happen. I lived for all of their moments together, on edge about what would happen next between them.

What I love most about this book is how quickly Stone & Finn become everything to each other. The way they can see each other unlike anyone else and the connection they form seems almost as unbreakable as Finn’s connection with his best friends.
See No Evil is the kind of book you can quickly become entranced inside of and forget time passing by around you. I can’t wait for the rest of this series but ESPECIALLY Easton! I NEED EASTON’S BOOK!!!

Secrets, mystery, and suspense kept me engaged in this first book of this authors new series.
I loved getting to know each of the four male characters while still focusing on the main couples story.
He is hiding several secrets while she is tough and jaded.
They are navigating not only their feelings for each other but also trying to figure out who is behind and in control of the society.

Several unanswered questions and intriguing breadcrumbs have me wanting more!
Looking forward to the next in series.

Once again an author presents us with a classic: the popular four best friends guys group, but this time they're bonding over a double homicide, isn't that cute?

“Tell me, Finn. Which part was real?” she insists.
“The part where I fell in love with you, Stone. That was real.”

In an I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997) way, these four friends were involved in a crime that they tried to hide –how? I don't know yet–, but a secret society knows it and is playing with the popular guys like puppets. They just have to take care of the tasks that the black letters are leaving for them to cover their asses, and the first one on the list is Finn Walker.

To be honest, I wasn't THAT into the romance between the main characters at first, mostly because I wasn't so sure whether or not I liked Finn's privileged, elitist, judgamental white ass so I read on for the subplot although in the end these two won me over. Stone was a smart, badass, no-nonsense kinda girl so she had me from the get go. Finn was another story but I ended up warming to him because in the end he was just a sensitive guy pigeonholed into an image for the sake of others. Also I loved that this was a guy falls in love with girl first trope. It was refreshing to see the girl being the closed and cautious one in the relationship, while Finn was like "I love you, do you love me? I don't feel like you want to be with me, let's make love, I LOVE YOU!!! LET ME LOVE YOU!!!"

Now I can't wait for Easton's and Lincoln's books because the first one is drawing a girl that according to him he doesn't like and the other is in love with his best friend while she's engaged to another man but she's also in love with him and AHHHHH I LOVE THE DRAMA AND THE ANGST hello i'm so excited about this series and can't wait for the mystery to be solved because this book literally left me with zero fucking clues where to look at.

“Tattoos, thick thighs and pretty eyes. I never stood a chance”

This is actually a really hard review to write because I am such a big fan of Ivy's Privileged of Pembroke High series. It was my first intro to RH and it was just so damn good. I was really excited to read see no evil since I'm such a big fan, but this book was a little bit of a let down for me.

I'm going to start off with what I loved:

- Finn started off acting like he was this big tough guy who was an asshole but he was actually the biggest softy out there. He such a precious little butterball turkey and I loved him so much
- Stone. She literally was so hot I think I fell in love with her from the first description of her. She was so fierce, strong and sassy. Her and Finn were adorable together.
- I loved the 3 other guys, especially Colt because I know his book is gonna be GOOD. I also loved that (i think) we got a little glimpse into who is going to be the love interest for Easton's book and I'm really excited about that.
- I loved the concept of this series and how see no evil was a big set up for the craziness that is to come. I'm really hoping the next 3 books are amazing.

What I didn't like:
- The conversations Finn kept having with his dick got kind of annoying. It was funny the first time but then it just kind of got a little ridiculous
- I had a lot of issues with the writing. Although I love that this is kind of a signature style for Ivy, the way she writes kind of poetically, it didn't really work so well for me in this one. I found that it kind of made some scenes really cheesy and I wish she held back on some of the descriptive writing. That being said, just because it didn't work for me doesn't mean its not beautifully written.

I'm looking forward to the next book, hear no evil and hope Easton can capture my heart like Finn did.

I enjoyed this book. Finn and Stone were a good couple. They compliment each other while also bringing out the best in each other.

Stone grew up rough and has that take no prisoners type of attitude. I loved her. Finn seems confident yet still unsure at times. They had some great banter at times.

Here's the thing though, there were a couple things keeping this from being a 5 star read for me. First, I'm not buying into this "The Society" play. Clearly this is one person ticked off at these 4 elite people. I really had a hard time buying into this. Second, for me, I needed more on what they "actually" did. I have a feeling this is just going to be something happened and they didn't commit homicide, but they "think" they did. Everything is so vague on it that it's making it unbelievable for me.

So there's a bit of a disconnection for me.

Ivy Fox is a freaking genius author and I am so happy I found this little beaut of a book.
I won’t lie I thought it was going to be one of those books you pick up because the blurb convinces you it’s gonna be good, and then 3 chapters in you’re like nope I can’t do it .. BUT - nuh-uh! Nope, instead what you get is a very foreboding prologue, followed by 39 chapters of pure unadulterated entertainment. This book seriously did a number on me. Instead of the moody, dark book I thought I was getting, I got a funny, steamy, swoon inducing group of friends who would do just about anything for each other (and they really have). I also got a murder plot, and a blackmail plot all thrown in as well, all without being a convoluted mess and keeping me in my toes. Like I said genius.

Anyway let’s break it down for you. There’s 3 POV’s in this book, Stone, Finn & Finn’s peenie.. who may I say is hilarious in the small page time he gets.

Stone is quite literally the perfect female character, she’s strong, sassy, imperfect, mouthy and loyal. She likes sex, and isn’t afraid of having it. She’s a normal girl, from a trailer park, who just wants better in life.

Then there’s Finn, confident yet vulnerable, dying for a life less ordinary. He’s funny, and protective and the swooniest of the swoon patrol.

Without ruining the book for you what I will say is I craved this book, I’m desperate to know who the blackmailer is. And to meet each of the boys that make up Finn’s inner circle. I have my eye on Colt, but who knows at the minute.

There’s some real funny moments in this book, and some poignant ones. Ahh I just can’t rate it highly enough!!

And I loved how that ending panned out. And I just didn’t see this book coming, but I’m so glad I read it. Straight into my favourites this shall go!!

“Tell me, Finn. Which part was real?” she insists.
“The part where I fell in love with you, Stone. That was real.”

I had a hard time getting into the story because most parts were boring and I didn’t know what to think about Finn and his relationship with Stone. But they kinda won me over towards the end of the book and were actually very cute together. What I liked about the book tho was the whole plot about the murder and the secret society, it was really interesting and I’m curious to know how it will turn out. I’m also very excited to read the next three books especially Lincoln’s if he ends up with Kennedy (childhood best friends to lovers <3 <3)!!!

Man this is so boring

Finn and Stone are cute and all but the book itself is boring. They spent more time flirting instead of investigating the Society. And I have to skimmed like 3 sex scenes and the character's inner monologue went on forever and the imaginary conversation between Finn and his dick is pure annoying.

Author's note says if I enjoy the twist and turn of See No Evil, then I should?? Who cares? There are no twist and turn. Just some cryptic message and the sex scenes and inner monologue went on forever

2.5 ⭐️

The premise of the book was intriguing, but I thought it could have been executed better.

It’s a story of four guy best friends who have this massive secret revolving around a homicide. Besides the boys, no one knows about except for this mysterious group(person, not sure) called The Society.

The Society starts blackmailing them and targets Finn Walker first. His mission is to get close to this girl, Stone who comes from the slumps whilst he comes from the richer side.

Yah, in the beginning it was a bit of tug and war between the two( mostly from Stone’s POV as Finn would literally just stalk her to every class and at her work). I was waiting for that moment in the book that it would just grab me, but it never happened. I wasn’t attached to the characters, and for The Society blackmailing Finn there wasn’t a lot happening. It would just be a few things here and there, but I didn’t find it suspense or mysterious in a way that I hoped for.

I understand that in this book you won’t get all the answers to everything, which was completely fine to me but I felt there was nothing there for me to even have questions about what was happening??? Not sure if I should continue on with the series in hopes that the other books are better or will I just be disappointed cause it was all predictable in the end 🤷🏻‍♀️

Also really disliked how she would LITERALLY call him “pretty boy” in almost every sentence… Super annoying

I really loved this book. Finn and Stone are just amazing together and the level of suspence and waiting for the other shoe to drop is addicting.

But I got to say the only thing I didn't like is the fact that this crime all four boys have committed is not even referenced with any hints or details. I love the aspect but I feel like if you going to do a book where we only going to find out the crime in the fourth book.

I think the author should have published all four at once rather than space it out because no one is going to remember the book by that time if not reminded. It spoils the intense adrenaline we feel when we read book one as compared to waiting for book two.

Very intriguing mystery!

I did not read the synopsis for this book before I started, so I really had no idea what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised that although this has dark moments, it also has cute parts and a good amount of sexy scenes. I like the alternating points of view from Finn and Stone, it kept the story moving. I also thought the chemistry between them was great, sort of a love/hate relationship but without truly being a bully romance.

I still have so many questions about what happened to Lincoln's parents and exactly what the boys roles were. I have a lot of theories, but I need more information. I hope the next book is out soon!

So, I have a theory and suspicions about one of the characters. But first, let me give a little background...

The first book in this series introduces us to four friends - Lincoln, Easton, Colton and Finn (random, but just noticed they all end in N). We aren’t given much information to begin with, but we do know that something happened one tragic night during spring which resulted in the death of Lincoln’s parents. This book follows the story of Finn Walker and Stone Bennett who are brought together when Finn receives a mysterious black letter from ‘The Society’ who claim to know what happened that fateful night.

Stone and Finn have so much depth to them; you can really feel their personalities shine through the pages. Finn is a bit of an over-thinker who tends to spend a lot of time in his own head, talking to himself… and his dick (yes, really!). Although he’s a hot jock, he’s not very good at talking to women, and has no interest in dating or relationships… until Stone is forced into his life.

Stone is a confident, feisty southie from the wrong side of town. With piercings, tattoos and attitude, she is the polar opposite to Finn’s rich, luxurious lifestyle. They’re “two opposites of the same coin”.

This is the first time I’ve read a book by this author and it most definitely will not be the last! I loved the inner dialogue, the depth and varied personalities to the characters and their banter between each other. I loved the crudeness - the author was not afraid to shy away from using certain terms or words. And the sexy scenes – holy hell they were hot! Most of all, I loved the mystery and enjoyment of trying to work it all out!

So this is my theory about one of the characters (stop reading now if you don’t want to know). To be honest, people may already be thinking the same thing...

Kennedy Ryland doesn’t seem legit to me. I wasn’t sure I liked her from her first scene in the book. She’s suspicious as hell. My reasoning is...

- She can switch personalities in an instance. There’s a scene with both Kennedy and Stone where Ken basically switches between being overly nice, to suddenly being angry and glaring. And she does this a few times in a short conversation which rings alarm bells to me. Finn also comments that she is one of the kindest people he knows but hints at her being quite strong and menacing when provoked. She’s also noted as being highly intelligent. She knows how to act and behave around certain people to get what she wants. She’s very manipulative, for example, in the first scene with Finn she manages to persuade him to tell her what she wants to know. She does this a lot throughout the book.
- She’s close to the four boys so probably knows about all of their secrets that she can use to manipulate them, and also probably knows what happened that fateful night in May.
- The most obvious hint of suspicion to me though, is the scene with Stone and Ken dress shopping when Stone recognises her; “sick sense of déjà vu slaps me across the face—I’ve seen this same vulturous look somewhere before, and it had left me just as unnerved then as I am now. What the hell is going on? Have I met Kennedy before today? But that stare. The unsettling prick on the nape of my neck is somehow familiar to me. It’s reminiscent of something that, for the life of me, I can’t recall. Or maybe I don’t want to”. Now this could be that she’s seen Ken watching her before or maybe it’s actually Ken’s twin brother who Stone sees looking back at her and he’s the bad guy in all this. Either way, this ‘stare’ is never addressed telling me there is much more to this.
- Finally, the other obvious scene is that of Finn’s dad’s birthday. This is when the message is left in his bathroom and the phone is missing from his wardrobe, hinting that someone in the house in involved in The Society. Kennedy is at this party and in the scene, Finn goes with Easton up to his room and asks Kennedy to make sure Stone is ok with his mother whilst he is gone. Now, things aren’t mentioned in books unless they have some relevance, and this to me felt like a hint at something. I’m wondering if it was at this point that Kennedy could have somehow got the phone into Stone’s possession whilst the boys’ attention was upstairs.

I think The Society is actually just one person and I get the sense it’s someone they know fairly well.

These are all just my thoughts and might be completely off the mark, or may be a trick by the author to lead us in the wrong direction. But, there is just something about Kennedy that I don’t like or trust, so I wouldn’t be surprised if she was involved somehow.

Anyway, hope you enjoyed my ramblings! I can’t wait to read the second book in this addictive series!

4 PRETTY BOY STARS🌟🌟🌟🌟

OMG I NEVER THOUGHT I WOUL LIKE SO MUCH A SOFT ALPHA MALE DAMN IT FINN ! I WANT TO PROTECT THIS BABY

"He's all-American perfection. I'm the poster child for this country's rejects."

He may look like the quarterback bad boy but hun... he's the most pure being when it comes to his girl. Finn must be the most dedicated boyfriend and friend of the year let me tell you. But you know when a friendship gets too deep dark secrets are always hidden. "The Society" found what our pretty boys did and now they are up for a little game.

“I think we should hang out,” he rasps, dragging his teeth along the seam of his lower lip.
“Hang out or hook up?” I counter, running a finger down his chest, which is immediately rewarded with a little shiver running down his spine.
“Whatever interests you the most,” he taunts mischievously.

Finn was all party and some panties fun but he had 0 experience in the dating department and...so did Stone. The girl "The Society" wants but so does Finn. This woman was THE BOMB DEAR ALMIGHTY. I'm always up for some good girl bad boy story but cmon....when she's de bad one it hits different. My straight side got ruined for Stone. Attitude, no shame, tattoos, piercings, provocative AND confident; that's Stone Bennet for you.

"Yes, pretty boy. I want you to take your clothes off."

I laughed, I got sad to the point my heart hurt CUZ THIS WAS A BIT ANGSTY and well now I CANT WAIT FOR THE SECOND BOOK WITH EASTON I HAVE A FEELING HIS STORY WILL BE MY FAVORITE ONE

AND I ALSO HAVE A THEORY I don't know if you can consider this a spoiler? But welllll read it if you want....

I think Kennedy is involved with The Society OR she IS The Society. We don't know if the anonymous chapters belong to a girl or guy, we just know that person knows Lincoln and was at the funeral. Everything about Kennedy screams SUSPICIOUS. And the way Stone mentioned she got a feeling like she has seen Ken before, her dark creepy look... besides Stone did nothing wrong apparently for TS to go after her just like that, this smells like something a girl would do. Blackmail, creepy warnings, fancy letters, going after a girl who did nothing wrong. Yep a woman for sure and I must say I can almost bet my pinky finger that woman's name is Kennedy.

Some of my notes while reading:
- I find it perpetually annoying when dudes say “little girl” repeatedly
- Stop w. the bloody nicknames
- Ah, how fun. Gotta love no plot + smut.

See No Evil is book one in Ivy Fox’s new Society series and I am dying! I need more and I need more now. I have so many questions and theories and no answers.

See No Evil was fast paced, full of mystery and suspense and full of characters that I fell in love with.

Finn, Colt, Easton and Lincoln have a big secret and it kept me hooked through out the whole book, flipping the pages trying to figure out what is going on in Ivy’s brain.

If you love books about the Elite, if you love books with strong heroines and all of the chemistry then you need to read this!

An epic start to a new series and I can’t wait to dive into book 2 when it’s released.

THE WAY THIS BOOK LEFT ME SPEECHLESS I NEED SO MANY ANSWERS NOW WTF
✈️✈️

Ok the idea behind this series is truly a mindfu**,
the fact that nothing is even remotely close to being solved in this yet the book is such a page turner. Despite the underlying storyline being completely different to anything I’ve read so far, the main story was absolutely captivating and Finn and Stone are the definition of real, raw and believable characters..honestly Stone has gained the place as one of my favourite female main characters ever, what a sassy queen 😭
Also they were so hot I really couldn’t deal with all of “that” at times..whew.
The story starts off with a mysterious vibe and it all carries on throughout the entire book while more questions keep on popping up but in the end, there are still no answers and although it’s frustrating af I love that for me because now I’m 100% more excited about book #2...
All 4 guys have been presented like a serve and my expectations are through the roof 📈
Can’t wait for king Easton’s book 😍

Reading the blurb is giving me whiplash. First i was convinced it was a fun mystery thriller but then in the end it sounds way too much like a romance novel- so confused.

Anyway i love a great blend between thrillers and romance so this sounds perfect
