Grahame Claire's newest release Free Me is a beautiful and emotional start to their new 'Free' series. If you've read some of their earlier books, you've met Trish. I was intrigued by her story from the first moment we met her and I was so excited to get her book!

After a unspeakably rough past, Trish is finally back on her feet. She has a healthy baby daughter and is running a food truck. She's working on herself and getting her life together and never expects a man to come into her life. But Andrew isn't like any other man she's met.

Andrew is enamored with Trish when he first meets her. He honestly can't tell if it's her or her delicious food that keeps him coming back to her food truck daily, but either way he can't stay away from her. Trish and Andrew take it really slow. Trish needs that. And I absolutely adored Andrew and how patient he was with her.

This is the best kind of slow burn romance. I love when a romance truly builds and makes you work for it. Trish is so strong and brave and I loved her so much. Andrew was amazing as well. It was amazing getting to see some of my favorite characters from previous books make appearances as well. When all the guys helped with the food truck... sigh. I just loved it so much!

Free Me is a story of strength, finding trust and love again, and it's so beautiful, heartfelt, and well written. I loved it so much and I can't wait for more in this world! I loved so many of the secondary characters and I'm excited for their stories. Grahame Claire is a must read author for me and I'll be reading anything they write!

4.5 Free from the past stars

I have been sitting on this book for a while. I got an arc and I was so excited to read it. Then I was asked to sew face masks for a local hospital. I had to put my reading on hold for a whole two weeks. I have never went that long without reading ever..... (I did cheat a bit by listening to audible rereads while sewing) As soon as I caught a break in sewing I dived into Free me and was totally captivated. I finished it in 10 hours. OMG it was so good. Emotional and addictive I couldn't wait to unravel Trish and Andrew's story.

Trish first showed up as a side character in the Paths to love series. So I already knew a bit about her. Then her story started and blew me away. Trish's back story was heartbreaking. I loved how strong she was. She was brave and smart. She didn't let her past hold her back and I loved that. Andrew I loved. He wasn't perfect. He had a hard past too and it colored his actions. Still he was protective, sweet, and a all around great guy. Trish and Andrew had a sweet slow burn love. I loved them together. There was great character development. I not only love but, I fell in love with some secondary characters as well. Especially Andrew's family. Overall it was a amazing read, the only problem I had with it was I would have liked about 50 more pages at the end. It felt a tad rushed after they resolved their issues. Other than that it was perfect and it was a real treat after not reading for 2 weeks.

R A T I N G: 4.5 stars to Free Me!

‘But then Daniel’s words came to me again, even though I had no idea that they were the words I’d needed to hear. The power is in your hands now. The freedom to choose what happens to you, to your body. That freedom is yours. And then I felt it. Liberty. My choice to be with him could be mine. This man could be mine.’

‘Andrew held my gaze. In it, there was comfort, patience, and care. Everything I needed to chase my fears back to the dark.’

Trish started her whole life over with a remarkable leap of faith, a food truck that has the New York crowd always in line for repeat business and an eleven month old that gave her a lifeline. From the start of this story It’s plain that Trish is clearly in the process of healing from the type of trauma that possibly won’t ever be washed away. But the past is not the point of this story because Trish is too fruitful, too heartening to look longer at her pain more than she ever would the skyline.

You can feel everything that was taken from her, everything unvoiced that speaks for itself, the dark veins that bleed between the lines of all she makes bright. The torment didn’t stop when the horror did. That’s what trauma is and her devastating history is what led her to Paths of Purpose: a safe haven for women to rebuild their lives and re-establish themselves. It’s a refuge and a harbour, a mooring that has become her home and given her the space to meet the type of friends you can only make when you understand the intimacies of misplacement and deprivation.

What might seem like small steps are major, meaningful shifts in Trish’s life. It’s not an abstract labour to see or feel that. Inserting herself back into the bigger, open-wide world is a fear-inflamed practice, and though Trish is overwhelmed by the pace, she’ll never jilt this life for the second opportunity she knows it is. It’s hard but it’s a future that once died in the shadows of incarceration. She now has a present bundled with the intensity of fear and freedom both. Trish won’t ever forget what brought her into the free world, but having physical liberty isn’t the same as discovering true freedom.

When Andrew Dixon saves a clearly distressed Trish from the wrath of a grumpy police officer, he eagerly comes back, and not just for the delicious edibles that are in high demand, but for the woman across the counter who leaves him feeling unrested every time he’s apart. He restores natural but remote feelings Trish thought had bled out of her when all her choices did. He’s patient, attentive, charming and everything she never knew a man could be, give her everything she never knew a man could give. But he’s not without his own spent perception of relationships. That’s where the Dixon family comes in. Whether he’s ready to stomach her monstrous history is the question that tests.

Free Me was unexpectedly deep and persevering. While reading this, there was a quote on repeat in my mind courtesy of Karen Marie Moning’s Faefever. It was a sentiment that referenced Kahlil Gibran’s ‘the deeper that sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you can contain.’ You can’t read this and not draw parallels to leading lady Trish who’s just a pure and moving replica of light. One that I hope sinks into the minerals of that joy one day.

Trish's story is hard to swallow. Her history is utterly heartbreaking. Even harder to stomach and I was gut-pummeled by the horror of it. She doesn’t let you wallow for too long though. She’s such a survivor, a fighter, a trooper in every way a woman can be. It’s precisely why freedom has a poignant meaning in Free Me.

I admire the authors for handling this story with such care. If Trish didn’t have her faction of free-handed and generous friends to lean back on, to be the first to reach her side in duress, if she didn’t have the supportive women at Paths of Purpose to help brace, reinforce and prop her up, this book wouldn’t have the force it does. Everything Trish has now is the inverse to what she’s never had before this phase of her life. These people are everything she needs. Help can do so much in making someone feel whole and human. Her present life is a unmediated ultimatum to every day she has left behind in the dark.

I have so much faith in characters; the ultimate role they play in collectively carrying the heart of a story as well as they carry the hearts of each other. Every supporting member has a bearing in Free Me and has a place in the story. Without the curmudgeony, complaint-prone Mr. Hardaway, the nurturing Mrs. Quinn, the reconnecting family of Dixons whose love settles between their differences, I doubt this book would have quite the same humane and hospitable calibre. Each character is well-expressed; as real people with authentic lives and internal brawls - even if we can’t see what they’ve got to reveal just yet. Plenty of breadcrumbs for the singletons to see you into the following books in the Free Me series. The atmosphere is sober as much as it hums with a lasting spirit.

Most of Trish’s friends already have established relationships with respective partners. After realising I was on the sidelines, I jumped the net with a light online search and came across the Paths of Purpose series which predates this one (the Free Me series) and that’s where Sonya, Drew, Muriella, Storm, Daniel, Vivian and the rest of the crew each have their books for their romances to unravel. In their books, I believe Trish is a side character, but here she has her opportunity to unsparingly reveal who she is behind the kindhearted surface - more kindness and a history that hurts.

Whether Paths of Purpose was once each of the previous protagonist's home ground, I’m not sure, but I was completely drawn in by Paths of Purpose and their female-directed muscle. Whether it’s loosely modeled on a real life humanitarian endeavour or completely fictional, I was humbled by what they do by way of the many ladies (who live within and support the effort) did for Trish. What Mrs. Quinn does for all of them. These women have suffered but always boost each other at every opportunity. I found myself being grateful for the real-life asylums that echo the effort.

But let’s talk about Trish a bit more. She’s intimate with the degrees debauchery can reach. She’s intimate with the worst a woman can be made to feel. A wealth of violence and violation charges her history, and yet, she’s a flowing fountain of hope who still has infinite space in her heart to give and be a stellar-hearted friend, to be a generous person to everyone who matters. She’d lost so much, can mourn over everything, has every reason under the sun to shelter the best of her heart and yet she chooses every reason not to. What i love about Trish is even though her past is as unfading as a painful haunting, she’s involved in the sunrise ahead. Her glow is timeless. She’s such a light.

Free Me isn’t the dreamy, upbeat romance that scorches with spades of steam and froths with laughter. It’s the type of hard-won love story that burns at a pace and rings upliftingly. It’s sober, tentative, deep and resilient but with a comforting measure of humour and uplift. No reader can read this and claim it isn’t a story without heart or importance. There is horror, but the unselfishness and ungrudging kindness that testifies to the wide and wonderful human spirit. This book has a heartfelt center with generous bones and gut that swarms with pain.

Trish has been whittled by the din of a horrifying history. Free Me is the offset of a love story as much as it is a rebirth of a survivor. The exercise of living like you’ve never been lost and loving like you’ve never been hurt is pulled flush to a revised stretch entirely. Trish deserves your unabridged attention for what’s to come. Each minute is a lunge. Every day is an upswing. What seem like mini-milestones cart the abundance of the big climbs - every one is infused with a badly impressioned history and a future’s pledge.

Love isn’t the charted landmark made only for the unscarred. Even the most haunted and touched by grit can find their way to the light. Only for Trish, she is the light. You’ll get a protagonist who won’t let the worst darken her doorstep but finds that she has to face the fear of living openly and seeing how love fits and feels much sooner than she thought. Brilliant supporting characters, prickly familial relationships and sibling ties can also be found in this one. I’m surprised by this writing partnership and I’ve duly noted this Grahame Claire jaunt. I feel the same about this book as Trish does about her life: so painful but so worth it. So much more than just a romance, it’s a sterling feature of faith and second-chance life.

Family doesn’t need to be silhouetted by blood. Blood bonds are given, these are made. A truly, truly meaningful story with twinkling heartstrings

C O N T E N T_W A R N I N G: Mentions cancer. Gives reference to multiple counts of past rape, sexual assault, forced sexual intimacy, incarceration and physical abuse. Episodes of PTSD. Some swearing. Mentions drugs. Violence and blood. One sex scene. All in all, you’ll find adult content and sensitive themes that aren’t suitable for younger readers.

I just about screamed when I realized this was Trish's book! Trish was a secondary character from the Paths to Love series but her book can be read as a complete standalone if you're new to this author. I loved her from the moment we were introduced to her and getting to learn about her past in this book had me loving her even harder. She was such a strong character to make it through what she went through and I admired her so much to see the life she was building for her and her daughter now.

Andrew was the perfect hero for her and I liked seeing Trish open up to him slowly. It wasn't a super fast romance but the connection between them was there from their first meeting. It had me on the edge of my seat waiting for all the secrets to be revealed and to see how Andrew would handle them. The suspense of the secrets getting out mixed with the mystery of Trish's past was captivating and it complemented Andrew and Trish's romance perfectly/

Overall, this was an amazing read and I highly recommend it. Characters from the Paths to Love series make some appearances but if you haven't read that series you can still read this book without being spoiled. Though I think meeting them will make you want to read their own stories.

An emotional romance read, well written, but there were a few times I wanted to skip paragraphs which were dragging.

I couldn’t connect with Andrew. Although he was a nice character, he didn’t keep my interest high. Trish was amazing, full of liveliness and hope.

The storyline had adequate loose ends that were not justified or explained, the ending was rushed and due to not having read the previous series I was a little confused/lost with all those characters appearing in this story.

A story of second chances and fighting for the life you deserve, Free Me is captivating and heartfelt in a way that will stay with you long after you've read 'The End'. And with an incredible cast of secondary characters, I can't wait for more of this series!

Good story.
Possible triggers, heroine is recovering from an abusive relationship, which was especially sick.
No too much detail about it but threats of more of the same at a certain point and some takes place.
No intimate scenes other than the Hero and heroine.
Secondary characters.
Hero is all for her and is patient.
HEA.

I must note that there may be trigger scenes in this book that may not agree with every reader. I Love this book so much that I wanted to say this first.

Grahame Claire made me ugly cry while reading this book. But, I won't give up on reading this book again. It's an emotional, romantic, gut-wrenching journey that completely sucked me in. Trish has come back from a very damaging past to own a food truck, and make her own way in the world with her 18-month old daughter. Andrew comes to her rescue, and they begin a game of cat and mouse with their relationship. There are no steamy scenes until the very end between them, but it doesn't detract from the book at all. I will say that Trish and Andrew are in my top book couple's list. The adversity that Trish overcomes is amazing, and I love Grahame Claire for the fact that this book is so amazing.

Please note that I did receive an ARC of this book, and the opinions expressed in this review are my own.

Well, that was all kinds of wonderful! I just love a good romantic love story (with sex) lol, and that was what I got. Trish and Andrew’s story was a bumpy ride, but worth every second. I have read quite a few Grahame Claire books, and Free Me has just made top of the list!

[1.5 star] book was okay, however a tad too long-winded. i mean at about 30-40% its obvious that the client the hero's friend was representing was the heroine's evil ex, so there is totally no secret there.

i think there are some gaps that are not fill up. the heroine entered a foster home at thirteen and was there for seven years, so what happens after the foster home and before she was held captive? there wasn't much about heroine's background story.

also, there is something very odd about the timeline. the heroine's daughter was eleven months old, she & her daughter entered the women's shelter also at eleven months ago. which means the heroine would be heavily pregnant when she was held captive but her evil ex doesn't know about the baby. it kind of doesn't add up for me.

additionally, i think there isn't much explanation why the evil ex's sister was helping him? also the woman whom the cop was dating, how did she get into the picture? i don't really understand about this part though. insufficient explanation leaves me kind of hanging to be honest.

last thing is the author did not do her homework. the pop star she was naming is "britney spears", not "brittany spears". i think this is a basic research before she wanna name a pop star. like i mention when i read another author's book, if they can't spell names, just use pop stars that have simple names like "j. lo" or something.

Grab the tissues, my people and settle in. Free Me is a soul-stirringly wonderful and poignant story that will stay with you long after the last page is read. Trish and Andrews’s journey to love was not an easy journey but their inevitable love was meant to be. So every bump, every twist and turn in their road was necessary to get to where they ended up, and where they ended up my friends, was EVERYTHING!

Andrew is drop dead gorgeous and successful. He’s a loyal son, brother and friend. He was literally the perfect embodiment of everything you want in a book boyfriend. From the first glimpse he got of Trish he was entranced by her. She was beautiful, captivating and mysterious. He knew something was up with her. He was definitely nervous about the lack of information he had on Trish, but that still didn’t stop him from falling hard and fast for this girl with the mysteries surrounding her. When secrets start to unfold will Andrew hang around and fight for Trish or will he discover that she’s been hiding the one secret he can’t forgive?
I loved Andrew’s character so much, y’all! His heart was so sweet and caring. He was good down to his soul. Like a “give the shirt off his back to help his neighbor” kinda good, which actually would be fine with me, take that shirt off, Andrew!😏

Trish is phenomenally amazing, my friends ! This beautiful girl is a shining example of triumph over tragedy. She gets up each day and works to better her life and overcome the devastation she’s endured. All while looking over her shoulder waiting for her past to come calling for her. When she meets Andrew she is overcome with conflicting feelings because she feels things for him she didn’t even think she was capable of feeling. She’s keeping secrets from Andrew about her past and she’s terrified of what he will think when he finds out the truth. When her past, and her present collide will she lose Andrew as well as all the progress she’s made?

This book literally brought tears to my eyes time and time again. I can’t even begin to tell you the feelings rollercoaster ride this book took me on. But y’all it was so good, I would ride it over and over again. This book told in alternating dual POV has everything. It has drama and suspense. It has amazing characters and the setting is fantastic. This has some very heavy subject matter in this book, but Graham Claire handled it with the utmost respect and care. By throwing in some funny moments, hilarious secondary characters and witty banter, this dynamic duo manages to break up all the seriousness while at the time still bringing awareness and attention to the subject matter. IMO that just makes this the perfect blend of everything I wanted.

My Cr8zysockbookblock blog wrap up for this book!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2- This was a great emotionally charged book. It was engaging, it kept me on the edge at all times, caught me off guard with twists and unexpected turns. I loved the emotional investment I made into these characters from the very beginning of the story. I would definitely recommend reading it, but be warned it’s got some serious stuff and It hit me in my feelings! But I loved it.
🔥🔥-This is most definitely a slow burn. Due to the seriousness of this book it has to be. There is really only one scene and it’s legit at the end of the book but I would call it more loving and sensual and sizzlingly sweet! 🔥🔥Y’all know I am all about the super hot but it didn’t take away from the story that this wasn’t. It wouldn’t have fit the story.
🌪Cliffhanger Warning-🌪🌪No Cliffhanger! This was super emotional, I cried so many times. I loved these characters, and felt every emotion right along with them. I was terrified it wasn’t gonna happen for them, but I am so happy with how this ended. #HappyEnding!😍

I've read books by this author before and I absolutely love her style of writing and I couldn't wait to read this one and believe me this book did not disappoint, it was awesome. This book is Trish and Andrews story.

Trish is a beautiful strong woman who likes to be positive and after everything is trying to start again. Delores is her beloved food truck that she loves and she really interacts with her customers.
Trish knows how to really fight for what she wants.
Andrew is a nice guy that would help you out any way possible. He becomes interested in Trish, however will there past get in the way?
(NO SPOILERS).

This book is just as the title suggests Free Me especially for Trish, but it's also about real second chances.
This book will have your emotions up and down and it makes you really feel, it's heartbreaking and emotional and raw and I was really rooting for Trish as I really liked her.
I love the characters from this book each and every one of them. This author really writes awesome characters and just as fabulous story lines that will also have you nail biting, emotional and totally captivating. It's awesome.

I highly recommend this book and this author as all her work is fantastic.

Thank You to the authors and the publishers for allowing me o read an early copy of this book.

I cannot even begin to explain to you how important it is for you to read Free Me. This book hooked me from line one and kept me captive in its gripping tour de force grasp until the very end and even then I did not want to be freed.

Trish is trying to start a new life for herself and Ella but the evil shadows of her past still lurk around every corner. Andrew sees the beautiful woman manning the food truck and is immediately drawn to her but knows he must tread lightly with her as he can see the shadows of fear still lingering in her eyes. Trish can see the beauty that is Andrew and must find the strength to let him in. Andrew will take things as slowly as possible to show Trish he is trusting and honest but he knows there is a lot she is holding back. When everything unfolds will the blow back from the past destroy the chance at a future Trish never ever imagined she could ever have.

While this is Trish and Andrew's story let me tell you the cast of secondary characters takes this book to a whole new level. Some authors add secondary characters that you never give a second thought to but these characters add so much dimension to the story that you want to know their stories as well.

Definitely one of my favorite books of 2020!!!

This book is amazing! It is full of heart and excitement. You will be drawn into the story and will not be able to put this book down. Trish is a strong and fearless woman who lives at Paths of Purpose with her little one. After escaping a nightmare she begins to rebuild her life. She owns and runs a very popular food truck. Andrew after leaving work sees a police officer and scared woman. Trish was a couple minutes late getting the truck moved for the night so the officer was going to write a ticket. Andrew went to help and couldn’t help but want to get to know Trish more. He started to go by the food truck everyday. Trish slowly learns to trust again and becomes friends with Andrew and his family. She is always looking over her shoulder because her nightmare is still a threat. You have to read to see if Trish can really become free. Will Andrew stick around once he finds out her past?

So this is a spinoff of the Paths to Love series and wow, this did not disappoint. Grahame Claire brought back our favorite characters (ahem, Stone) for a new series revolving around the Paths of Purpose shelter. Truth has a horrific past and a baby, thanks to the shelters mentor program, she has a food truck and there she meets Andrew, where he helps her out of a jam. I love Trish’s courage and Andrews tenacity and devotion. Plus his family is awesome! Her friend Baker is awesome, I hope we get her story soon.
There’s suspense, romance and some sexy scenes. I loved every second of this book. Quick, get me the next one!

Andrew was enchanted with Trish from their first meeting and was even willing to put his skills as lawyer to the test to come to her rescue. He knows that she has her secrets, but he is hoping that the more time they spend together the more that she will trust him both with her past and her future.

Trish has escaped a painful past and has created a new life for herself and her daughter. She now owns a food truck which not only allows her to do what she loves but gives her a sense of security. She is nervous about letting Andrew in her life, but his patience has him breaching the walls she has built around herself.

Andrew and Trish are compelling characters who draw you in and have you invested in their happy ever after. This is an emotional story about love, healing and new beginnings that will captivate you until the last page.

Free Me packs an emotional, heartfelt, and twisty punch. I was on Trish’s side from the very beginning and was in awe of her strength, love, and perseverance. Andrew is her perfect sidekick to ride around with her in Dolores until the end of their days. A captivating plot. A redemption story. And, a lovable cast of characters. Free Me has it all.

This book was a slow-burn and enjoyable read. The characters were likeable and had great chemistry. Trish and Andrew overcame a lot of hurdles and in the end got their hea. Also, the secondary characters were great. The banter between each of them was fun. Overall this is a great read.

I just finished this book and OMG! this was a total rollercoaster... I'm still in shock!

This was my first book by Grahame Claire but I can assure you this will not be my last because I need to know more about this series and about all these amazing characters that she created.

But let me tell you, this is not a cute or steamy romance. This was a very emotional read with characters dealing with a traumatic past. However this story was so beautiful as well.

The author was capable of making me feel so many emotions and I just need to know more... AND I noticed that most of the secondary characters have their own book so I can't wait to read them.

And I know I should probably tell you what's this book about but I don't want to. Trust me on this you should just read it.

I was drawn in from the beginning, so many twists, that kept me guessing till the end. I thought Free Me was a intriquing, fun, angsty, love story. The characters Trish and Andrew were likeable, and they had good chemistry. Trish is one heck of a woman! So glad she has the support she needs to move forward in her life. However I got to say, the secondary characters were just as good. They might not have the same blood but they were a family, banter that made me laugh, and love. This is my first book I have read from Grahame Claire, and I'm kicking myself for not doing it sooner. I will be going and devouring the other books now.

This book was perfect. While this book covers some extremely dark themes, the story handles them beautifully. Trish is so strong and is a great example of a strong woman. She had a really bad hand dealt to her and she handled it all gracefully. I especially loved how this story showed that recovery for most situations has set backs and times when it feels like your moving backwards instead of forwards. I loved Andrew and Trish's story, and I hope to see them in future stories!

Free Me

Plot: We meet Trish as she is running her food truck, which is becoming more and more successful, and then we see her going home to her almost one-year-old daughter. Home is a women's shelter that has been instrumental in helping her get back on her feet. Trish's backstory is particularly brutal: She's learning to lean on others though, and is working through her therapy to try and become someone more at peace with her life. One day she meets Andrew, a property lawyer, who shows up at her food truck just as a cop is about to ticket her for overstaying her permit by seven minutes. He convinces the cop not to ticket her, and he continues to come back to her truck. They slowly get to know each other, and they're both very interested. Smitten even. But Trish has a lot of baggage. She allows Andrew to believe that her daughter belongs to her friend. And then the biggest secret of all: That last secret is the deal breaker - that's Andrew's hard limit, because of his own past issues with his mother. How will they find their way back to each other after all of the secrets and misunderstandings? And what about Trish's husband? Is she safe? Is her daughter safe?

Character development: I was very invested in Andrew and Trish's relationship - I stayed up until 2 in the morning to finish the story. Andrew was so sweet with Trish - up until he had his little snit fit and didn't allow her to explain. Although I guess saving her life is a pretty good start to the groveling. I liked some of the side characters as well, although I felt that at times they took over the story. This is the first book I've read from this author, and since it's the first in this series as well, I didn't think I would need to read other books to know who all the people were. There were so many couples, and while I got the gist of them as couples, there were little side conversations that didn't make sense - they were nods to previous stories. In some ways, those little inside jokes become almost like caricatures. For me, those times took away from my enjoyment of the story because they were distractions from the plot. That aspect took a star away from my rating.

Would I read more from this author/in this series: yes

I received this book as an ARC copy and I am leaving my honest opinion. I loved reading Free Me. Grahame Claire did an awesome job writing this love story. This isn't your average steamy romantic sex book but it won't deter you away from reading it. Andrew and Trish's story is one based on love, trust and of course sex, but not till the end of the book. There is so much to the storyline that you don't notice that and when it happens you are so overjoyed for the couple that they had the strength and trust in one another to overcome anything.

Trish has a very difficult past. While reading about what she endured my heart ached for her. Through a wonderful group of friends and the shelter she has been at she manages to put together a food truck. She has a lot of repeat customers whom she enjoys conversing with. One night she meets Andrew, who helps her get out of a parking ticket. From that point Andrew works hard to try and get a date with her. He doesn't know her past so he doesn't how difficult to say yes it is for her. She does agree to go out with a family dinner which she brings friends. From that point Andrew and her grow closer and their feelings grow stronger, until she reveals 2 secrets that she has been keeping. After a tragic occurrence, her friends are forced to reveal her horrific past in order to save her. This time she had people, a wonderful group of friends she considered family, help save her.

This book made my heart bleed for Trish, laugh at the banter between certain people, was on the edge of my seat when she was taken, and content when Andrew and Trish were able to finally be together. The love between them was exhilarating!

Intense

The story is very well written, very strong and I had empathy for the heroine, Trish, from the first chapter. If the romance goes up slowly in degrees, the end is partially very difficult to read.
Trish is a single mother who has a food-truck, but above all a very heavy and violent past. This past leaves her in great fear as soon as she meets a man who may have a connection with her past. She lives in a women's shelter and stays there to protect herself. With her work, she meets Andrew who will slowly get closer to her, introduce her to his friends, to his family, help her to rebuild, to free herself but her past is difficult to overcome.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book

Wow, I loved Trish and Andrew’s story in this new series by Grahame Claire. You got a glimpse of Trish in their last book Thick as Thieves, so I was excited to see Trish get her own book. Free Me is an emotionally beautiful story about one woman’s survival of a horrendous situation and finding love, strength and happiness and a gorgeous man who loves and helps her in so many ways. This story made me cry for Trish and then made me laugh, especially when the guys or Sonya were around. It was wonderful to see characters from the previous series appear and to be introduced to new characters that will steal our hearts. Awesome job ladies on another great book. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series. Once again I couldn’t put your book down. I received this book as an arc for my honest opinion.

Omg I couldnt wait for this story! Trish is always upbeat, positive and loves Delores, her food truck. The story incorporates her day to day routine, cooking, bantering with her regular customers. The beat cop, Mr Grumpy, Mills, And the Lawyer.Andrew., are all regular customers that leave a mark in her life. Andrew is very interested in her, but when he finds out one major secret, he decided he cant be with her. Trish reverts back to panic attacks, and flashbacks that terrify her, all because of one dreaded phone call, This is a standalone, but the characters from the Paths to Love series are intertwined within this story. The loud family group is there to help and protect Trish anyway they can.
Grahame Claire has a way with making this a wonderful story to read from fun to suspenseful. I received an ARC and offering my honest review.

What an emotional story. Sadly, this could be a true story, as what happened to Trish does in fact happen to women. There are parts of this story that could possibly trigger sensitive people. I thought it made for a beautiful story.

Trish is hiding and trying to recover from a tragic 5 years. She is finally trying to get back on her feet, while trying not to be noticed by people from her past. It takes a lot for her to trust because of this.

Andrew is a lawyer working day and night. He came to Trish’s defense one night, and had been enamored with her ever since.

I won’t give anything else away in order to avoid spoiling it. I say read this and enjoy it for yourself. It really, truly was everything.

I revived an advanced copy of this book, and I am leaving an honest review.
