Putting out fires was his life's work. This new flame, there's no way he’s extinguishing it.

As a firefighter, Dalton McNeil was accustomed to facing extreme pressure. It came with the job, and his shoulders were broad and strong. Commanding his squad was all in a day's work. Battling fires and rescuing those in danger came naturally. He wouldn't deny that he was slightly jealous of his brother, who recently got married and started a family. It would be nice to have someone to come home to every night.

Anya Graham had been the girl next door growing up. Back then, Anya had been crushing on him hard, but he'd never acted on it because she'd been so much younger than him. But then she'd left for college, and they'd lost touch.

Now she was back and has consumed his every thought. Anya was all woman, and he was determined to make her his. But there's something different about her. She's more guarded, secretive. It's piqued his curiosity, and he swore he would get to the bottom of it.

If only she would put her trust in him before it’s too late. Dalton can't lose her. His skills as a fireman will be put to the test. Will he be able to save her?

Audio Review:
Dalton (Trust and Honor #2) is a sweet story about the girl next door all grown up. A flirtatious fireman, angst, danger and suspense all encompassing this engaging romance.

Narrator Lacy Laurel performance was smooth and easy to listen to. Her inflection changes with the emotions expressed.

A entertaining listen.

Anya had a crush on Dalton since they were kids. Back then he and his older brother looked at her more like the little sister they never had and would always protect her from the neighbourhood bullies. She was seven years younger than him. She moves away but he remains in the town where they grew up. Years later their paths cross when her car just happens to break down in front of the fire station where he works. Suffice to say, Anya's all grown up and Dalton no longer sees her as the little girl who crushed on him but a beautiful, curvy woman who he''d like to to get to know a whole lot better. He gets his chance and one night isn't enough. But Anya's hiding something, something that's haunting her even as she sleeps. He would do anything to keep her safe. Will she trust him enough to let him protect her again?
Dalton, the story and Dalton the man was hot, hot hot! I wouldn't mind reading a sequel with these two. Their story was that good.

Dallas is a man of few words and hard punches. His background is of a Marine, now a cop and moonlighted at a club in Vegas. He has demons here lives with daily hit e bright spot in his life, his Candi.

Candi comes from a broken past, hiding her scars under a layer of smiles. She works her butt off to make sure she has what’s she needs. Her newest need, Dallas McNeil.

These two together are like the best hot chocolate and marshmallow combo. They’re intense, sweet and hot. They don’t really know what’s going to happen, how their getting closer is going to change their lives but it turns out to be the best choice either of them could ever make.

But when danger strikes, Dallas must be willing to do anything he can to save the woman he loves. Talk about a wild ride.

I loved this story. These two characters a hot mess at times but when it matters they pull themselves together and make it work. The ying and yang to a perfect future.

She'd always have had his heart.

Anya Graham always had a crush on the neighbor boy, Dalton McNeil. He was no longer the tall skinny guy he was as a kid. He and his brother Dallas have now grown into heart-stopping fine azz men. Anya is no longer the younger little girl next door that the McNeil brothers used to protect. She too has grown into an absolutely gorgeous woman who piqued the interest of Dalton, now that she was back in town. He knew that something was going on with her and would give her time to come clean. But as luck would have it, he and his brother had to go back into protection mode for her again. Dalton determined that he would not lose Anya, she was his and he'd just gotten her back in his life and he knew that she was the one for him. He also knew that his brother had his back.

Peyton wrote a heart-stopping story about the boy and girl next door finally getting to the point in their lives where they could be together. Then that blast from the past made Dalton test his mettle as a firefighter to keep his new life in place. Just like his brother and sister-in-law before he and Anya, they wasted no time in grabbing their HEA.

Peyton Banks’ latest book, Dalton, is an adorable second-chance, friends to lovers book!

Dalton is the sexy fireman (you may know his brother Dallas) that is knocked on his feet after being reacquainted with his neighbor. Anya, the girl next door, had a massive crush on Dalton when she was younger. Upon her return home to Vegas, fate steps in and the magic begins!

Dalton is quick read but manages to include all the best parts - chemistry, flirting, reconnecting, danger and a happily ever after. I’m a fan of the author’s work but particularly enjoyed Dalton’s story (especially the beginning scenes at the firehouse).

Anya returns home to Vegas and her car breaks down right outside a firehouse and there she runs into Dalton, the Lieutenant at the firehouse, and her old crush from years ago. Dalton is blown away on how hot Anya looks. Dalton takes her home, but can't stop thinking about her. They meet up later on and share a kiss, both not being able to hide their attraction to each other. Anya knows she has to tell Dalton why she has come home, and that her ex is after her. Her ex finally catches up with her..what will happen next? Will Dalton save her? You will need to read and find out. A great read from start to finish I highly recommend it!

When Anya returns home to escape an abusive Ex, the first person she sees is her childhood crush, Dalton. He is the hot fireman next door, willing to enter a burning building to save the love of his life. Anya was too young when they were growing up, but Dalton sees her finally as a woman and can't stay away. This was a good story with plenty of suspense and Dalton and Anya were great together. There is plenty of action to keep your attention and the author also added insight into the life of a romance writer through the eyes of Anya. I loved the McNeil brothers so much I can't wait to find Dallas, the first in the series.

Dalton is a lieutenant at the Las Vegas fire department. He surprise when he comes back from a committee meeting to find Anyia. He grew up with Anaya. She is seven years younger than he is but he always looked out for her when growing up. Him and his older brother Dallas never let anybody bother her. Anyia has always had a thing for Dalton. These two had an instant attraction when they were teenagers and now it’s ready to boil over. The problem is Anyia is back in town to stay but has secrets. Will her secrets come back to haunt her? If they do, will Dalton be able to help Anyia in time from any catastrophes? Nice developing story line. A dab of suspense without a cliffhanger.

This is a quick read that is entertaining, captivating and has wonderful characters. Anya moves back home to Vegas to get away from her abusive ex and start a new life. When her car breaks down in front of a fire station, little did she know she would see the man of her dreams, her childhood crush and neighbor Dalton McNeil. He was even more handsome since the last time she saw him when she left for college. Dalton was as attracted to Anya when he sees her again. She was definitely all woman now. A very good storyline with plenty of angst, danger, suspense and chemistry between the H and h. Thoroughly enjoyed this book.

A brilliant emotional, thought provoking story. It my caused triggers if you've experienced domestic abuse so read with caution

People need to understand that there is nothing to be ashamed of when they are being abused. It is not their fault and they should always tell someone, especially the people who are important to you. Anya learnt the hard way. I know this is a story but as I read the scene of her in the burning apartment, my heart was beating like crazy, hoping that she would get rescued from the trap her psychopathic ex left her in. If you are in an abusive relationship, never delay to act because it almost always get worse and you may pay with your life. This story is informative and captivating from beginning to end.

Dalton, the second in the Trust & Honor series is a stand alone story, though the characters from the first book do appear in this one. While brothers had different careers, there were also a lot of similarities between the stories. I think I would have liked it even more if I hadn't listened to the stories back to back. The length of the book was in between a short story and what I would call a full length novel, so the characters seemed to jump right into the relationship. I'd recommend this book to people who like romantic suspense.

I listened to the Audible version and this was a quick, interesting listen. Lacy Laurel did a great job with her performance.

Anya and Dalton - Finally together

Wow what a book. Peyton Banks knocked this one out of the park. I loved Dalton and how he cared for Anya. I cried when Glenn came back, hiding in her apartment (how’d he get in this time? ) and beat her and set the apartment on fire with her in it; her throat damaged by the fire. Dalton reaching her just in time. But there was an HEA: Glenn was captured by ‘Good Samaritan’s’ who beat the crap out of him before delivering him to the police station steps handcuffed to the railing; Glenn got 25 years in prison; Anya and Dalton got married and are expecting a son.

Dalton was a great read by Peyton Banks. It was steamy and suspenseful and once you start reading, you can stop. Anya has known the McNeil brothers since she was little and they both looked out for her and protected her. But Dalton McNeil was the brother she was half in love with. Now Anya is back home to Las Vegas. Dalton is blown away by the now grown up Anya. She is not the geeky teenager with the crush. He is determined to claim her. Will he be able to save Anya when he learns the real reason she is home? If you enjoy sexy firefighter romance, this is definitely for you.

Yes just trz

I suck at reviews but this was omg good. Dalton was honestly a younger version of Dallas. I really hope Matt gets a story maybe with Amina as his love interest 🤞. This book had a perfect balance of angst, anxiety, fear and bullheadness from Anya. I understand why but she should went that morning or the night of. As well informing her parents of her sudden move. I really only had one issue and that was end he felt thrown in there. No real back story on what his issue was an how it came about. Still a good read. ❤ 🤍 💙 🧡 🖤 ♥️❤ 🤍 💙 🧡 🖤

Anya is back home, running and hiding from the guy she was dating, she thought he could remove thoughts of the perfect man, Dalton they where neighbors when she was growing up and she had the biggest crush on him. But she left to peruse her dreams as a writer. Her ex is crazy and the biggest mistake Anya made was not telling someone about him. While she and Dalton are getting to know the adult versions of each other her ex is planning something big and deadly

Dalton: Trust and Honor by Peyton Banks. I generally stay away from romantic suspense (get too anxious needing to know there is a HEA) but I felt a pull to this story after reading the blurb and I am so glad it happened. This book was really good and a nice change of pace for this old gal. I felt a genuine connection between the main characters and the author’s storytelling and attention to detail kept me vested in the story, the characters and outcome.

Dalton

Love can blossom from a young age and although you may head off into different direction never give up on your chance to encounter true love. Ayna knew she loved Dalton from a tender age she never thought they would be together but love tends to prevailed. Dalton and Dallas always looked out for her when she was growing up and they will always have her back. Glad she finally opened up to him and her parents.

Anya has moved home, ready to turn the page, putting a painful period behind her. Dalton can't believe the woman sitting in his firehouse is his old neighbour. The chemistry sparks between the two. However a danger menaces Anya. Dalton pulls out all the stops for the woman who has claimed his heart. Action and chemistry made this read a pleasure.
