Charles Swindoll has devoted over four decades to two passions: an unwavering commitment to the practical communication and application of God's Word, and an untiring devotion to seeing lives transformed by God's grace. Chuck graduated magna cum laude from Dallas Theological Seminary and has since been honored with four doctorates. For his teaching on Insight for Living, he has received the Program of the Year award and the Hall of Fame award from the National Religious Broadcasters as well as multiple book awards.
I've read a number of books by Swindoll and enjoy his writing style and solid biblical evidence. Stress Fractures was no different. A very practical book, offering good advice for stress management, it explains the causes and deals with them.
To fully appreciate this book, the reader would need to either be a Christian or at least open to the possibility that God may actually have answers to some pretty common societal and personal problems. I found it very relevant, helpful and inspiring. it was also very timely.
I love Charles Swindoll's book because he writes in everyday language exalting the Word of God so readers can be moved by the Holy Spirit. His examples and stories apply biblical truth to his writing. He writes as a pastor but fellow pilgrim on the path of living and passing through life's stresses and pressures. A timely book for the present day even though written awhile ago.
