I borrowed this book from the library for the express purpose of making toddler sized mittens. Unfortunately, the pattern called for "yarn" with no suggestion on size and it didn't include how big the mittens would be once made with the correct gauge. Considering that the other patterns ranged from newborn to 3yr old there was a great difference in expectation. Other patterns seemed to be a little more detailed, but I wasn't inspired by any of them and back to the library it went.

Contains many baby projects all based on the same sweater shape with different decorative motifs...duckies, bears, scotty dogs, giraffes, cars, trains, boats, etc. Enough yarn to make a matching cap for each project is included in the yarn requirements. Many more sweaters for boys in this book than in the other 5 books on knitting for children that I got out of the library this week.
