Was given an ARC for my honest review.

A unicorn shifter Josh deals with a “heat,” and all the trials that come with it, including his crush on friend and alpha werewolf Raymond.

This is a fun take on the “heat” trope. There’s misunderstandings both ways, and some delightful awkwardness. The heat is handled in a realistic and mature way, and how careful the characters are with each other really built up the believability of their long friendship, and how much they care about each other.

A really cute, sweet shifter story.
I loved Josh and Raymond, they were actually really good friends before they became involved.
A sizzling night of passion has both hoping for more but a decided lack of communication on both their parts nearly derails the relationship before it even starts.
Josh was such a sweetheart and Raymond was so kind and gentle.
I loved how defensive and supportive tbey were of each other.
I honestly wanted to knock some sense into both if them.
Luckily they worked it out.

3 1/2 stars.

This is the first shifter book I’ve read where there was no actual shifting involved. Just an alpha warewolf shifter and a unicorn shifter.

Once I got my head around the cross species, non-shifting aspects of the story, I actually enjoyed this book.

Well written, complex characters, good storyline.

Was given an ARC for a honest review.

This was kind of boring.
It started pretty good actually and I liked how the author included all the stereotypes both of unicorns and werewolves but it never really caught my total interest and I ended up skipping most of the book.

Josh is a unicorn and he has to go through with a ''heat'' every two months without fail. Yea, he takes care of himself, but he hates it, doesn't look forward to it and he wished that the insurance company paid for better quality scent blockers and suppressants. He really wished it when he went to see his personal trainer three times a wee. The sexy one, the one he has been hiding his scent know...the handsome one. Raymond really enjoys Josh when he comes over for his training. He is ...more
