Super fun! There were some tense moments, but on the whole this is just as much fun as Wisconsin and I'm relly looking forward to the next one where they save The Middle of Nowhere.

I really like her characters as the partners aren't just about the sex but they really care for each other.

To begin, ‘Were-Geeks Save Lake Wacka Wacka’ should not be read as a stand-alone. In order to understand the plot and characters I highly recommend reading ‘Were-Geeks Save Wisconsin’ first. In fact, I recommend reading them pretty close together. It was six months between book one and book two for me, and I was scratching my head a bit on which character was which.

But I’m jumping ahead a bit. ‘Were-Geeks Save Lake Wacka Wacka’ is a fun paranormal romp setting werewolves against fairy cheese, s

I have eagerly waited for this book because book 1 ended in a cliffhanger and I wanted to know how the demon issue will be resolved in this timeline.
I loved that author stuck true with traditional spin on the bargains with fairies, liked Bruce's turn-around and the budding romance between Laddin and Bruce but...I disliked the fart jokes and was underwhelmed by Wulfric and his mother's subplot. I didn't see any purpose in their participation and after such an interesting battle with the demon in

Second book of the series, and it contains an unhealthy amount of ridiculous fairy activity alongside dark images of childhood abuse by a parental figure. Bruce is Josh's older brother and following the cliffhanger from the first book, he eats a fairy fruit to become a werewolf in order to "protect" Josh as he's tried to his entire life. Josh, is unable to see Bruce's intentions is that light and would rather wipe his hands of his brother. Unfortunately, Wulf Inc. can't just let a new werewolf r ...more

Bruce eats fairy fruit to become a werewolf like his brother. Laddin has always known that someday he would change into a magical creature. They fall in (insta-)love and help Wolf, Inc to deal with the demon in the lake.
Don't make fairy deals, their friends learned in the last book, it won't go well. So this time they make more and more deals and it gets worse and worse. Don't try that at home. Hasty promises, ignoring the fine print of standard fairy contracts, and annoying or cheating fairies

2nd book in a very fun series with more to come. I suggest reading them in order as this one will make more sense and takes up where the last one left off but with another set of MC's. Books are entertaining, set in a unique shifter universe and feature fun, sexy characters making for a very entertaining read. I don't know how many more books there will be, but look like at least 1 more in the series. ...more

DNF--Story was just too ridiculous for me to continue. Found it extremely difficult to feel sympathy with either one of the main characters at all. First book was better.

I was going along with this book, having read the first, and I could just about see someone willingly changing himself into a werewolf, even if the help of a fairy did seem odd. This is a gay romance as well, so be aware that adult scenes are included.
Halfway through, the characters who are fitting up to fight a demon that has killed half of their pack, start fighting tiny fairies in the grass that throw bits of cheese around. Sorry, what? Did I get the wrong bus? I came to see werewolves fight

So much fun to read

I loved this book. Bruce had lived a never-ending nightmare under his father, and his inability to connect with his brother would likely have driven him to despair. Luckily, he chose to become a werewolf and met Laddin.

This was a perfect fairy tale, along with a fairy tale ending that was delightful and devious. I doubt that we’ve seen the last of Bitterroot, and I wonder how desperation will impact how he interacts with Wulf, Inc.

Librarian Note: Also writes under the pen name Jade Lee.

KATHY LYONS writes light, funny, sexy stories. She loves the faster pace of contemporary books and that her humor can shine through. Plus, the shifter books are really fun!
