As a Christian father, the book was disappointing. I know in the description on goodreads, it mentions nothing of the content of this book being Christian. However, among the title pages, there is a page that says "...If you're interested in some positive, biblical philosophy on being a father and want some solid suggestions and practical insights from a dad who struggles too..READ THIS BOOK"
So as far as the solid suggestions and practical insights, the book is replete with that kind of content. However, I would say if falls short of maintaining any kind of central Biblical world-view or framework. Scripture was used more as proof-texting footnotes to segue into a thought of the author rather than used with careful exegesis and context to uphold a Christian world-view. In the most pragmatic part of the book, the "ABCs of Fathering", there wasn't mention of fathers being spiritual leaders of their children or any practical insights along biblical lines.
As far as the other content, some of it was new and gave me a few ideas but I found most of it to just repeat pop-psychology and self-help guru-isms that we have heard before.
