Find out what becomes of Kenya and her two children. Will she finally get her life together so that she could be a better more or will they continue to suffer because of her selfishness and anger.
I waited to do my review until I finished the series. It was a good series kept me entertained and interested. The cliffhangers at the end of books 1 & 2 were good and enough to keep me wondering. The only thing that I didn’t like and made take away 1 star is the editing. It felt like the books were not edited or even proofread for that matter. Book 3 had the most errors. There were missing, mixed up, and misused words; as well as incorrect names used. At some points it did interrupt the flow of my reading which is why I took a star off. Overall, though, the series was really good and I would recommend it to other readers.
I love ❤️ this author’s stories. She is a powerful contributor to the urban fiction genre. I REALLY APPRECIATE that she tackled the uncomfortable subject of sexual and mental abuse. This subject is NOT addressed enough in the black community. I myself have family and friends who were victims of sexual and mental abuse. So it’s personal to me. Kudos to the author for writing about that very uncomfortable subject. I also liked the fact that the characters in the story planned to seek counseling. I also liked that this writer doesn’t shy away from adult themes. Hot sex for both her male & female readers, and romance. She knows how to balance both. She made me care about what happened to her characters. My only caveat was the stories need better proof reading. I found too many grammatical errors. Otherwise I highly recommend this series of stories and anything else this writer pens.
Compared to all the other books I’ve read by N’dia Rae this by far is the worst series ever. It was very repetitive and a lot of the information was unnecessary to the story. There was a lot of little did he/she know although it has already been revealed earlier in the story. The story was kinda all over the place. It just doesn’t even seem like she wrote this herself or maybe it was just thrown together.
The best part of the book was the epilogue where some good things took place. There was nothing but bad in this book through and through. Not only that, it could have been more detailed on the characters like Zoe and what happened to her, etc.
This book was definitely a banger! I mean action after action... Drama on top of drama... It made me cry at certain points... Pissed me off on some point as well... I would definitely recommend this book! What a way to end this series!
This trilogy is very entertaining! There’s a whole lot going on in this series. I found it to be entertaining and a quick to read. On the kindle version there are so many errors in each book and that was super annoying but other than that it’s a cool ghetto series. Definitely ghetto.
While there were many grammatical errors it was a great read. I love the characters. There should be a prequel series on Hill's life. Just a thought...
Never thought this book would have me crying but dang. So many shocking moments. Obsession can destroy a person's common sense but so can pain and hurt.
This was a really good series and story line! Nubia and her family went through so much and it was all quite bittersweet to see the ending! However some of the relationships I knew in reality would never rectify regardless of the forgiveness. The ONLY thing that let this story down was the poor editing and grammar it was so confusing in some parts where the editing meant the wrong characters names were used. It was so frustrating because you really had to go and double and triple check you were on the right track! Other then that it’s my first time reading anything from this author, and I enjoyed the story! X
I love love love this book I. Amazed how she was able to come up with the drama in this book but it was awesome I loved Hill and Munoz their relationship blossom even with the Major drama the family had so many secrets Zoe really did need major help she lost everything for an obsessed for a man that didn't want her ***** read cuddle up with a glass of wine 🍷in a quite place next once you start reading you will not but it down into you finish ENJOY the kids had mama from hell
I enjoyed this series but the editing was horrible! I love that Nubia got her happy ending but was sad about what happened to Kenya and that Adele felt she had to take lives to rectify the evilness that occurred. Poor Shaka, it was unfortunate what happened to him but when you hang around bad seeds you get sucked in and it usually takes a great turn for the worse. I really did enjoy the storyline but N'Dia Rae please, please hire a professional line editor!
I'm upset because I wanted a different ending, but I understand that people or things have to be acknowledged and removed to begin the healing process. In this case its just sad when lives are sacrificed because of trauma, lies, deceit and secrets. Sometimes we're our own worst enemy, but we have to realise that self preservation is key. It can be a hard battle but with GOD, yourself and confidence it can be worth the fight. Through a lot of the pain there was still sunshine. Nubia finally got her happily ever after. Great Read! ReneeG 👍
Everybody was fighting demons designed a mother-daughter the grandma they didn’t believe that your daddy was a pedophile and that he raped her stepdaughter those series of events caused a chain reaction to everything that happened from book one I’ll wait to book 3 I’m happy that everything worked out the way did your mother cook for killing her out of her face for killing his mom and Haley are happy and nice things
This was a perfect ending to a great book. Shaka became dark. I think his darkness didn’t all stem from his upbringing but from the blood that he shared with his biological pops (Lucky). I do wish that the kidnapping would have been drawn out a little more. A book about Shaka and Tone causing havoc on the world while selling drugs would be dope.
I did not expect this series to go the way that it did but I enjoyed Hill was book back and Nubia went through a lot but in the end she got a happy ever after I thought Shaka had killed Travis not Adele but she had enough book 3 had some errors but over all great Series.
Everything worked out in the end. It's sad that so many lives had to be lost. I never suspected Adele on Travis's death. Can't believe she confessed & it's a horrible shame that Kenya was finally about to get her life together & it was taken. This series was good minus the grammatical errors.
Ok overall this series was AMAZING . The only thing that was terrible were the errors, and the mix ups with the characters. If you’re paying an editor & there’s that many errors, definitely get a new editor.. I loved Hill & Nubia together, so happy they had a happy ending minus the deaths
I was hoping that Shaka would get saved but in the end he was lost since he was hanging around the wrong crowd. Nubia finally got her nan that matched her drive and ambition. So many real life lessons in this series about self love, how to deal with trauma and there is no shame in asking for help when you are overwhelmed.
The editor and test readers failed this author. Too many errors to name. From the beginning of book 1. The story did not flow with the timeline of the book. And it was predictable. I really wanted to have something positive to say about this book series. But I have nothing.
This last book was definitely rushed efforts of a good series. It is still good but the grammar that I ignored and mixed up names throughout the entire series seems to get worse. That's the only reason I gave it a 3, could have easily been a 5 star with such a great storyline and even better ending.
This was a good series! It showed what trama of molestation, denial, greed and Jealousy could do to people! How it all unfolded was so sad. Seems everything came full circle in the end.
I chose my rating because it was a good read. I couldn't put it down. The finale is a tear jerker. What a mother wouldn't due to protect her children. Nubia and Hill got the happiness they deserved.
I hate Adele is serving the rest of her life in prison! Damn Kenya n Shake are gone that is so crazy!!! I’m glad Nubia n Hill have overcame all that craziness n they are happy together!!! This series was da bomb!!!
What a way to end a great series. It hurt to see a young man went down the wrong path and death was his end. I was shocked 😲to see 👀that the MOTHER killed both no good men. But, Nubia finally got her happy ending. I Did That!!
From book one this was a great read. Nubia and her Family was so full of surprises and drama. Hill was a good man and he was perfect for Nubia. The entire storyline was great and the characters were excellent.
Definitely a good book and a very very Teary eyed. This family has been through a lot I’m just happy Nubia and he’ll finally got there happy ending and it shows how much a man will do to save her family in the end it all worked out perfectly must read.
This was a great story but omg the editing was terrible😡😡😡😡 in all 3 books!!!!! I had to piece it together in my head just to finish it cause names was mixed up and words where left out.
This was a very good series. I would have never thought that Adele killed Travis. Zoe got just what she deserved. If you haven't read this series I would suggest that you do..
