This is the second story I've read from this author. It shows how she has greatly improved her writing skills.
The novel, or maybe novella (depending on the word cut off) is about a couple who have known each other a long time, but never divulged their true feelings, going separate ways. Kelsey, had given up her child for adoption at 3 days old. Neil, fourteen years her senior, marries another woman who has a child. When he finds out after his wife's death that his wife's child, Rikki, was actua

Wow! This book gives you all the feels!!

Away to Me is the second book I've read by this author and as with the first, I am blown away. I am a very avid reader and VJ was a new to me author. That said, I couldn't put the book down, I HAD to know what happened next!

Neil and Kelsey are destined to be together, and how they find themselves co-parenting Neil's step daughter is astonishing. There were times I yelled at them, cried with them and laughed out loud. Their chemistry is through the roof and

I’ll get right to the review since everyone’s read the blurb. First, I love that the novel takes place in the Maritimes. I’m a huge fan of eastern Canada.

There are three main characters. Hero Neil Falcon, his stepdaughter whom he deems as his real daughter, Rikki, and the birth mother of Rikki, heroine Kelsey Wagner.

I’ll start with Neil. He’s a great guy. He’s the kind of guy women love to date and the guys enjoy having beers with. Widower Neil is a writer and works for a magazine. His boss is a

This is a very different book with Neil, Rikki and Kelsey. Neil is married to Rita who has a daughter Rikki from her first marriage. He finds out that Rikki is adopted he sets out to find her real mother which happens to be a old friend of his Kelsey. He is fourteen years older than Kelsey and met her when she was abused by her mother and he was a counselor. What starts out as a friendly arrangement between Neil and Kelsey for the sake of Rikki turns into a attraction that they can not deny. Lov ...more

Away To Me is the first book in the Tri-Town series. This is a wonderful book of three people trying to come together as a family with all the perils and pitfalls that go along with a new relationship and teenagers.

The characters are well developed, lovable, and relatable. The storyline is well written and flows nicely throughout, keeping my interest from start to finish with this beautiful and realistic story.

This is the first book I have read by this author and I look forward to reading more.
