As a foundation for the spiritual conversation we will have later in the Language of Truth series, Basic Duality presents a new philosophy of physics. It describes the bridge between material and immaterial aspects of energy, the nature of “yin” and “yang” or the masculine and feminine forces, and the basic “zero” and “one” relationship that underlies all things in the physical universe. A highly complex topic presented through the lens of logic and with a great economy of words, this work was written with the layperson in mind.
Payman Sattari (also writing as P. Orelio Sattari) is a philosopher, ashavan, and transdisciplinary researcher whose work explores the fundamental structure of reality and the role of consciousness within it. Throughout the last fifteen years, he has developed a unified ontological framework from first principles — an approach that brings together quantum behavior, field dynamics, and interiority into a coherent whole.
His award-winning book The Science of Energy (Nautilus Silver Medal, Science & Cosmology) examines how modern science came to exclude consciousness from its foundations and outlines a more complete model of reality—one in which the observer and the physical world form a single continuous structure. His next major work, Basic Duality, articulates the foundational structure of this system—a first-principles account of how the patterns underlying both physical phenomena and conscious experience emerge from a coherent order.
Sattari’s research draws from theoretical physics, systems theory, and the disciplined study of awareness. His work is guided by a simple premise: coherence is fundamental. The divisions we perceive—between mind and matter, subject and object, inner and outer—reflect the limits of our methods and models, not the nature of reality itself.
He lives in Latin America, where he continues to write, teach, and refine the practical and theoretical dimensions of his work.
