AL Jackson’s signature prose, engaging characters, and masterful storytelling shine ever so brightly in this beautiful story of love, loss, and beating the odds in search of happiness.

Oh my gawd, this book had my stomach in knots, my heart in a vice grip, and my nerves on edge. The angst! The secrets! The lies! It was everything!! The deceit and unfortunate circumstances that tore these two apart was devastating, but made their love story that much more powerful. Despite all the heartache, secrets, and missed years, Richard and Violet’s love stood the test of time. It’s one of the things I loved most about this story. It was so raw and visceral. I felt like I was experiencing it. Watching these two fight for one another was a truly experience I won’t soon forget!

AL Jackson has done it again!!! I can’t recommend this enough! Read it now!

A.L Jackson has an unique way of tell a story.
She writes her books in a beautiful lyrical pace, with many poetic thoughts, metaphors and analogies.
This book wasn't an easy read to me, but it also was one that I couldn't not read either.

This book is about Violet and Richard.
At the beginning of the story they're not together, but from the very first reunion, after six years apart, you can say that love and lust isn't their issue.
I was craving their connection!
Everytime that they're in the same space, sparks flies everywhere and everyone can say that they were not really over.

Their love is so strong, so pure and so intense, that you can only pray for them to see things the way you see.
Richard is fierce and a truly protector of Violet and the ones she loves.
Daisy is just another amazing and over the top child, put in the mix for everyone's pleasure. She's my favorite flower girl!

Why not 5 stars?
I don't know why, but I'd struggled to finish it and to write a honest review.
Maybe it were the pace. Maybe my head wasn't in the same place as the story.
Maybe it were all the secrets and the guilt that were mentioned, but never explained until the very last end.
Maybe it were Violet but maybe it were Richard.
I love them, but they didn't really talked about their problems until the end.
They sure lust over themselves, but I wish I could know a bit more of the whys, before the very last end.
I don't know for sure, but something held me back from fully enjoy this book.
I'll definitely read again in another happier time.

Why are you here?”
“Because I don’t know how to be where you are not”

GOD. Rip my heart right out of my chest why don't ya, AL Jackson. I've been in my feels for days over this and I still can't stop.

Now if you've read literally any book by this author, then you already know she has the ability to reach into the depths of your soul and wring havoc on all your emotions. But this book? This book was simply on a whole other level. Not only for the very relevant and poignant subject it covers but all of the feels of a second chance romance.
You are every song I have ever written...
You are every lyric. Every riff. Every strum. Every echo. You are the song of my heart.”

Violet was once Richard Ramsey's entire world, until his world got tilted on its axis. Richard harbors plenty of dark secrets and demons that plague his every waking moment. Demons of what could have been and the reality of what truly was. He's an immensely complex yet oh so tortured character that I simply couldn't get enough of. This is a man with so many layers, and each time you peel back one, you only realize you're still not even close to the true core of him.

Now a rock star, circumstance brings him back to Violet but their reunion is not a sweet one. It's turbulent and full of dark secrets that can break them both. Neither got over the other, but while Richard says he walked away for Violet's own good, neither her or the reader knows that that reason is. But when it does come to the light? Holy plot twist!

This was an incredibly poignant and emotional book. I have so much respect for the author for not only touching such a relevant and sensitive subject matter, but also not just glossing over it. She does it justice. She brings light to it and she makes you feel it. And boy do you feel it. It's one emotional rollercoaster of a book full of twists, turmoil and heartbreak.

My only quibble is the overly flowery prose. As much as I adore Jackson's talent and emotional romance, the prose was just too much for me here. I'm not a reader that gravitates towards overly lyrical prose, and this book has it in spades. Now this is entirely a personal bias, and the book is beautifully written. It just so happens that the prose is not my particular cuppa.

That aside, this was an incredibly poignant and unforgettable second chance romance.

First of all I haven't read the previous books in series so maybe things are set up for this book or mentioned but I was really confused as to what was going on for a while.

I also found the writing confusing.
Lines and lines repeating itself, just to say the same thing over and over. Wasn't keen on the style at all. Maybe it's done to add to angst to me it was irritating.

It takes ages to reveal but obviously the couple were together then separated for 6 years I think it is but after a long drawn out few chapters it is revealed they are married.
There is mystery around a child that the heroine refers to as her daughter but also refers to the heroine's father as Papa so it implied she wasn't the Hero's child but then implied it was.
It's the heroine's niece.

A huge plus was despite the 6 year separation and his band life style he is celibate during this time. Nothing is said about her that I noticed but I assume she was too.

Loads of angst that could have been avoided with honest communication.
I understand he thinks the situation is dire and he's protecting her but the hurt he causes surely could have been avoided if he's at least explained some of it.

HEA.
Epilogue 1 and 2.

A.L Jackson delivered all the angst with this story and I wasn't prepared for it. There was a ton going on with Richard and Violet, their past, and the band and it all came together perfectly in my opinion. From the start I was intrigued about what had happened to drive Richard away from Violet and as I continued to read I was sucked more and more into their story the more I found out. There was some mystery thrown in too with things that had happened with the band members in the last book and was continuing in this one that I really liked getting to see more of.

Overall, this is an amazing read and I definitely recommend it. I would say that it is possible to read it as a standalone but I suggest at least reading the previous book to get the full story on some things that make an appearance in this book as well as that one.

“My moonflower in the darkest night. You will always be the song of soul”

AHHHHHHH I am so grateful that I’ve never come across a book written by A.L. Jackson that I haven’t enjoyed.
Falling into You was so good.
It’s one of those “It makes my heart hurt” kind of good.
Here I am once again sounding like a broken record but here I go again, I do love a second chance romance, I am also a sucker for a single parent (romance book) and don’t even get me started on a rock star romance…. Falling into You had all there and it was *chef’s kiss*

Falling into You was beautifully written and the chemistry between Violet and Richard is so sweet yet sexy, intense yet easy to fall into.
I devoured this book in one sitting and the air of mystery, the amazing chemistry between the two main characters and the awesome secondary characters had me hooked!

If you haven’t read this book, I highly recommend that you do.

Amor, Amor, Amor!

What a perfect way to describe Richard and Violet’s story. Because A.L. Jackson has truly outdone herself! In this third installment to her Falling Stars Series, she has proven—once again—that she is, indeed, the consummate storyteller!! From start to finish, I was swept away in the crazy whirlwind that defines this couple’s story. And, oh, what a whirlwind it is!! I delighted in the joys, wept with the sorrows, and hung on tight with every twist and turn. I rode the waves that kept on coming, only to lose my footing under the crushing weight of Richard’s ugly truth.

A.L. Jackson is known for writing strong, confident women, and Violet Marin is no exception. I love her kind heart and resilient spirit, and I admire her unselfish nature and fierce devotion to her family. It’s little wonder, then, that Violet captured Richard’s heart, and despite the lies and years apart, she will forever own it, as Richard refuses to ever take it back.

Richard Ramsey is a bit of a conundrum… talented, sexy, and charming, he’s also hard-headed, secretive, and fiercely protective. And he’s desperately, hopelessly in love with the girl whose heart he broke. Seeing her again after 6 long years, Richard is reminded of all he’s lost, solidifying his resolve to win her back. But when the past and present ultimately collide, Richard faces the prospect of losing his girl for good.

Gripping, passionate, romantic and suspenseful, Richard and Violet’s love story is perfectly imperfect. It's also everything I could hope for and a whole lot more!!!!

Amor, amor, amor

OMG...this story really got me...the whole time I thought Richard was hiding something totally different and I couldn't connect with him. I loved Violet and her character...and the more I read...the more I was dreading the truth coming out and then not being happy or satisfied with the story. 🥺

But as I read the last part of the book, everything turned around and I was happy as a clam. I see how everything tied together and relief poured out of me.

On to the writing...Ms Jackson has such a way with her writing that the poetry flows through the pages and captivates the reader. Her words are beautiful and heart felt.

I absolutely loved this story of Richard and Violet and I think I can honestly say that it's my favorite of this series! And omg...Daisy? She was the most adorable character! Perfect book of second chances and forgiveness!

"I think you might be every line I've ever written. Interwoven in every song. There before I even knew you existed."

Falling into You was such a great second-chance contemporary romance. The characters were amazing and I could really feel the strong love and connection between Richard and Violet. We already met Richard Ramsey in the previous books, but Violet was new but I loved her immediately. She was strong, loyal, protective, and just so nice. Richard has demons he is battling with, and we as the reader know a little bit what is torturing him, but we finally get the answers we've been waiting for. I had no idea it went as deep as it did. Also with all the crazy things that are coming out in the real world, it wasn't that hard to imagine the things that were done in this book.

"A music god who'd stolen the songs right out of my soul. Pieces of myself missin' because they would forever belong to him."

Richard and Violet were the perfect match, and I loved seeing them be reunited. They both tried to stay away from each other, but when you've met your soul mate it is just impossible to walk away. Which Richard did six years ago, but I understood where he came from. Also he had been miserable ever since he broke Violet and his own heart. Like the previous books there was a pinch of suspense added to the story, which I loved. It was just beautiful seeing justice finally being served. It was also very emotional, uplifting, and steamy. It was great being reunited and seeing what all the previous main characters were up to. Falling into You was another great addition to the Falling Stars series. I already look forward to the next book Beneath the Stars, I am so obsessed with Rhys and I can't wait for him to fall in love.

"Richard. You...your touch has always burned me alive. Left me ash."

My heart. Honestly, it is a mess. The way that Jackson can convey emotions through words is one of the most beautiful works of art that I have ever read in my life. This book will hit you so hard that you will not know if you want to cry, swoon, laugh or rage. There are so many layers to this story that has been intertwined through this whole series, that it will honestly leave you speechless and bumbling to write a review like I am right now.
This story is about Richard and I have been intrigued with him since he was first introduced. What I didn’t expect is all the turmoil, raw heartache and pain that this man carries with him. The twists and turns that you will get enveloped in with this story will blow you away. Violet is a spitfire but she holds so much heartache in her soul after everything imploded between her and Richard. There is so much distrust but their connection is still so intense and powerful that it is a struggle to deny it. There is a lot of push and pull and answers that are needed as this whole story flows. I was blown away at everything I read. I had to let it soak in to fully grasp the magnitude of everything that Jackson gives us in this story. I have to say, I giggled when Daisy was about. I adored the light that shone through her with her innocence yet with such an adult way of looking at life. The band as a whole in this story was just a perfect addition to it as you see things more in depth.
Overall, I was completely awe struck by this one. I have loved this series since book one, but there is just something so special about this one that it is so hard to top. If you are a fan of Jackson’s work, I doubt there is any other way but to adore this story and everything it brings to the table. I need Rhys now please!

Amy's words are like poetry that seep into your heart and steal your breath away. They paint a picture as vivid as the colors on a canvas and that is exactly what she did with Falling Into You!

"You are every song I have ever written. You are every lyric. Every riff. Every strum. Every echo. You are the song of my heart. I love you. I love you with everything I've got and with everything I've got left to give."

This book broke me, the heartache and turmoil I felt, the tears I cried, the shivers from the evil lurking between the pages, but nothing could prepare me for the bombshell that was dropped and the twist that would unfold leaving me gasping for breath. This story may have shredded my heart but the beauty of forgiveness, second chances and pure love made it whole once again.

"Our spirits sang together. Our bodies one. Our love abounding. Breath to breath. Soul to soul. Where she fell into my darkness, and where I would forever stand in her moonlight. "

This book is one of those stories that stays with you, one that you can't stop playing over in your mind, one that leaves you with the biggest book hangover and one that will be on your Top Reads List just as it is on mine!

5, You're every song I've written, Stars!

“Maybe I shouldn’t have given him that trust. Maybe I shouldn’t have given him the chance to lie. Maybe I should have known I would regret it all over again when I saw the guilt flash across his stunning face. But I was finished running.”

“I might have been the one who’d backed her against a wall, but she was the one that had me chained.”

“I think you might be every line I’ve ever written. Interwoven in every song. There before I even knew you existed.”

“She was the forever that had been written on my heart.”

Slay. Slay. Slay. A.L. Jackson’s words absolutely slay me. Falling into You is an incredibly well written and consuming love story. I am overwhelmed by the love and emotion this book has brought out in me. This is the kind of love story that you just know will be a part of you long after the end….

Falling into You is the exact definition of a second chance romance. I mean it delivers in spades.

A story of devotion ✔

A story with heartache ✔

A story with redemption ✔✔

Falling into You hit all the marks I was looking for and I am just completely blown away. Words can not even begin to express how I’m feeling right now. I feel like a jumbled mess as I try to write words to convey my feelings….

Here’s what I can tell you about Falling into You. Falling into You is EVERYTHING. I mean, absolutely everything. I trusted A.L. Jackson with my heart and her soulful writing does not disappoint. Richard and Violet will pull you into their story instantly. These two beautiful characters are real, flawed, and yet completely perfect. Their story is one of romance and pain, heartache and secrets, devotion, and redemption. It’s a story of choices; even if they’re the right ones at the time, they’re also the ones that end up breaking your heart. It’s a story filled with unexpected moments and twists that will leave you on the edge of your seat and completely breathless.

A.L. Jackson has woven a story that has left me spellbound and utterly consumed. It has invoked a buffet of feelings and has left its mark on my soul. Falling into You is unforgettable and is easily one of my favorite reads for 2020. It is a must-read for angst and second chance romance lovers.

Five huge Superstars!!! I have so much amor, amor, amor for this book!!!! One of my top reads of the year for sure! I had so much anticipation built up for Richard and Violet’s second chance love story and really wanted to devour it, but once I started reading I decided to savor it instead. Trust me it truly needs to be savored. I fell hopelessly in love with Richard and and Violet and was so lost in their story and their emotions, the highs and the lows, and loving every single moment of it! This is why I read!
A.L.Jackson, your words as always are simply stunning! Beautiful, emotional and passionate, so much like poetry and the most beautifully haunting song lyrics all wrapped up like a warm blanket for the heart and soul. Thank you for sharing your gift with us.
I simply couldn’t get enough of Richard and Violet as my heart went on this emotional journey with them. It was broken, it was repaired, it rejoiced and finally it soared! I don’t want to give anything away about the story itself because it should definitely be experienced first hand, but I do just have to mention how awesome it was to get more of Royce and Emily and the other characters we’ve met in this series. But there is one very special character in this book named Daisy who will surely steal your heart, and her adorable sometimes heart stopping antics along with personality plus, rival that of a young Frankie Leigh from Show Me The Way! I didn’t think that would ever be possible. Total cuteness overload!
I absolutely loved every single thing about this book and will be feeling it for some time to come!

I'm so disappointed. The way the book was written was so frustrating with the same repeating angst descriptions and half sentences. I couldn't get into the characters and the drama dragged on FOREVER. I mean USE YOUR WORDS. These characters kept so many secrets it was painful to get through. I found myself skimming the 2nd half of the book just to get to the end. I hope the next one in the series isn't so heavy and painful to get through.

NO SPOILERS!

GAH, does A.L. Jackson know how to write romance! Falling into You was pure second chance romance PERFECTION, and has honestly been the BEST and my FAVORITE novel from A.L. Jackson to date!

A.L. Jackson truly outdid herself with Richard and Violet’s epic, addicting, engaging, and breathtakingly beautiful, sexy, and swoon-worthy love story, and I was completely riveted from start to finish. She kept me guessing at every turn and had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. The plot had so many twists and turns, and I couldn’t wait to see what happened next.

Richard and Violet, as well as several other characters, were beyond phenomenal, and I adored them to pieces. They completely stole my heart and I was so happy getting to witness their amazing and unforgettable love story. Richard and Violet were exceptional in every way, and I loved their personalities. I felt an instant connection with them and couldn’t wait to discover more. Richard and Violet had off-the-charts smoking hot chemistry together, and I loved all of their banter and interactions with each other. Richard had major swoon factor, and was the perfect mix of sweet, sexy, and swoony alpha male with a dash of deliciously naughty. Violet was incredibly sweet and lovable, and she and Richard were a perfect match.

Falling into You was on another level of romance excellence, and I was completely blown away with Richard and Violet’s super sexy, swoony, addicting, suspenseful, and MUST READ second chance love story! A.L. Jackson had the perfect balance of romance and suspense that kept me wholeheartedly invested from beginning to end, and I am so excited to see what this exceptionally talented author has in store for Rhys’ story in Beneath the Stars!

In the third installment to the Falling Stars Series, Richard and Violet share a heart-wrenching and passionate second chance romance overflowing with angst, mystery and suspense.

Richard Ramsay, the enigmatic guitarist for the band Carolina George, returns to his hometown for his sister’s wedding, where he’ll face the consequences of his turbulent past and the relationship he ended six years ago with the love of his life, Violet.

Jumping between past and present, in dual points of view, Richard and Violet’s complex story is unveiled layer by layer and the horribly gripping and heart-ripping secrets are revealed one by one. The heartbreak and monstrous wickedness shocks and sickens. There are many clues throughout as to the reasons for Richard’s behavior and the choices he's made – whether for bad or good. A major twisty surprise at the end brings all the answers. If you've paid close attention, you'll probably have it figured out before the conclusion.

Amour, amour, amour alert! Relief from the deluge of angst and drama arrives each time Daisy, an angelic, sassy and smart-as-a-whip young child appears (her commonsense is more often than not miles ahead of the adults in the room). In the blink of an eye, she made me laugh and shed a tear or two, but most importantly won my heart. I just loved every moment spent with her.

Jackson’s lyrical writing is usually spot-on. And once again, there were plenty of beauteous moments to behold. With this story and the casting, I felt like the author might have gone a little overboard waxing poetic. Personally, I found too much of a good thing just becomes repetitious. This reader would have appreciated some normal speak in some of the interchanges between Richard and Violet. Sometimes less is more and makes a bigger statement overall.

Another little nit-pick was being left wondering whatever happened to Saul's character. He made a few attention-getting entrances and then poof and gone! Did he just vanish into thin air? He didn’t seem to serve any purpose in the storyline.

The fourth book in this series will be Beneath the Stars. It will be Rhys, the self-acclaimed Stallion, in the starring role. He’s the jokester and comedian among the band members, but I think readers are in for some surprises as to what lies beneath the surface. I’m so ready to see him fall – but it’s going to take a powerfully strong and sassy woman to rope and rein him in for a lifetime ride!

Forgiveness does not change the past, but it does change the future.

“Why are you here?” she asked instead of answering. I kept brushing my fingers tenderly through her hair. “Because I don’t know how to be where you are not.”

description

Falling into You is the third interconnected stand-alone in the Falling Stars series, featuring the rockstar/small town/second chance romance between Richard & Violet. Richard made sacrifices to get him & his band to where they are today, but there were more important reasons that in turn cost him everything. He left her behind but never stopped loving her, and now that he’s back in his hometown he’s finding it harder and harder to stay away. Violet can’t go through the same heartbreak she did when Richard left her to chase his dreams, yet seeing him after so many years is breaking down all the walls she thought were built sky high. This could be their second chance or it could be the tragic finale Richard’s secrets could cause when they are revealed.

“I just need to know one thing right now, Richard Ramsey. Tell me it’s true. Tell me you still love me because I’m done pretending like I don’t need you.”

Jackson is fast becoming an author I can call a fave, in fact I need to go ahead and add her to that small list....I’ve loved everything by her with the exception of the last installment in this series, and even that one I actually enjoyed but just couldn’t rate the same 4-5 stars I had her other books. I was excited for Richard’s story bc he was kinda a mystery to me, I wasn’t sure if I liked him or not so I was interested to see how he would be from his own POV.....just a warning, he is going to likely blow every expectation out the water.
description
He is so much more than we’ve seen from him in previous installments and his story was definitely the most emotional one of the bunch so far.

“What, are you trying to get rid of me?” The words teased from that wicked tongue. “I think I’d be wise to,” I told him honestly. “And what if I asked you to keep me?” “Then I would ask you to stop breaking my heart.”

Book Facts:
Told in: Dual POV, time jumping throughout between important moments in the past & the present.
Type? Interconnected stand-alone that can be read alone BUT is better enjoyed after reading the two previous installments.
Triggers: Sex Trafficking, rape (not main characters), violence.
Ends in: HFN ending for couple with overall story continuing with new MCs in next book.

The Main Players:
Richard Ramsey: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
“To remind me of what it’d felt like to be wrapped in those arms and loved by that body. What I needed to remember was how it felt to go without. What it was like to live in his aftermath.”

Violet Marin: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
“I knew I would never deserve it. That I’d never be worthy. But knowing I was going to fight for her with every fiber of who I was, anyway.”

What I liked:
❤️Something I so often take for granted is suspense and a book’s ability to truly keep me guessing....I’ve read so many books that I can usually guess what’s going to happen within the first few chapters, however this book wasn’t like that at all. I genuinely didn’t know what was going to happen & I loved that.

❤️There is a rawness in this story that reminds me of the very first Jackson book I read (Hold on to Hope) and boy did it have me in my feels. From the utter brokenness of where these two are......
“How could you just wake up one day and not love me anymore?” The words quivered and shook with hushed misery. “Because I’m still waitin’ on the day when I wake up and I’m no longer in love with you.”
description
.....to the overflowing love of Violet’s mama paired with the devastating grief of her terminal status.....
Mama brushed her fingers through Daisy’s hair, solemn affection on her sallow face. “Forever and ever. You keep singin’, and I will be listnenin’. Just turn that sweet face to the heavens. I promise. I’ll be there.”
description
....this book made my heart hurt in all the ways I crave.

❤️One thing that continues to evolve and get better and better is the genuine family feel & bond these characters share. Sure some are actual family, but overall it just felt like I was getting a true glimpse into a small town group of people who loved and were there for each other through thick and thin.

❤️And then there is the little firecracker sweetheart Daisy, a reminder of how amazing Jackson is at creating the most adorable & funny child characters. It wasn’t just the words she said, but it was the entire image of those moments/scenes as well that made her so hilarious.....
“It’s almost passed the whole day and Papa said I had to let you sleep because you had a reals rough night last night. You have a rough night? Lords knows I did.” She tried to form a low whistle, but it was more a raspberry.
description
.....there are so many moments in the story that she made me laugh in a way that likely made me look quite crazy to anyone around me.

What I didn’t:
🖤My first issue was with the dialogue style of two very important characters, the first being Daisy.....she is only around 5 years old so one of the really lovable things about her is the specific way she talks.....
“Do you think I could be the flowers girl for this weddin’, too? I got my fancy new shoes. I could go gets ’em real fast.”
....it’s part young child part sweet little country girl, but it’s totally the cutest. What I hated was how she switched from the above style to completely proper speaking....
“Got it! I need you to sign this, Mr. Richard. You get to first since you’re the one who made sure I got all better.”
....in a way that didn’t fit the package that was Daisy. The other was with Richard.....I get he is gruff and broody and a man of few words, but it annoyed me to no end that his character couldn’t speak in complete sentences.....
“Won’t let anything happen to you. Not to you or Daisy. Will die first before I let anyone get near you.”
description
....there were always words missing in his sentence and whatever she was trying to accomplish fell short for me.

🖤I have one simple & direct question.....
Where the hell did Saul go?
description
It’s not going to make sense to you now but once you read the book you will totally understand this question. I hate when a character seems to be totally useless but placed in situations that make them appear to play some kind of crucial role, Saul literally just dropped off the face of the planet. Not a fan.

🖤Don’t get me wrong, I REALLY LOVED this book. Still, it didn’t keep my attention as captive as I hoped for. I found myself distracted and taking more breaks from this book than I normally do.

🖤It takes a LONG time to get to the first present day sex scene but the way the story is told I didn’t mind it. What I did mind is the fact that these two spoke more poetry to each other than they did actually getting it on. I mean it is constantly like this.....
“Never, not once. You are the piece that is missing inside me. My match,” I whispered.
description
....but pages of waxing poetry back and forth before the first thrust and then refusing to stop with the words even then made it a little on the cheesy side. It was slightly disappointing after waiting until almost the 70% mark for it.

The Verdict:
description
Falling into You isn’t my favorite of Jackson’s books but it’s a beautifully written book nonetheless. It’s a story that keeps the suspense at an all time high while also teaching lessons in second chances, forgiveness, & sacrifice. It’s one that’s easy to recommend because it has a little of everything for all romance readers to enjoy.

Now that is how you tell a story!!!
Holy hell! All the heart pounding adrenaline, suspense, and a second chance romance to last a lifetime. Richard Ramsey has arrived! And once again, A.L. Jackson is now the proud owner of all my tears!

In My Own Words:

They say when you know, you know… And with one glance in a crowded bar Richard knew Violet was his one true love. He knew she would be the one to stand by his side to celebrate all his highs and be the shoulder to lean on during all life’s low moments. But when reality steps in and all that comes with fame, Richard finds himself stuck in the middle of a spider’s web full of lies and deceit. A spider web that can be catastrophic for his loved ones. So the man walks away from the one person who means the most to him, Violet. He’ll be damned if she’s used as collateral to get to him.

Six years later, Richard is back in the one place he swore he’d never step foot in. His hometown, a place where the rumor mill never sleeps. A place where he left his heart behind all those years ago. A place where the love of his life resides with her little girl, still clutching his heart as tight as she can.

Fate be damned, Richard walked away the first time. He isn’t about to make the same mistake twice. He’s going to keep his girl this time around, no matter what.

My Thoughts:

Richard Ramsey…. What the hell am I going to do with you? That was literally my thought process throughout this whole novel! I honestly couldn’t wrap my head around all the shit he was put through. Throughout the series we saw him as one way, within this story we see him under a brand new light. We see his darkness and his light, we see everything. This man is an anomaly. He’s a tortured soul and in my mind he’s the exact definition of the word Hero…. And due to spoilers being the enemy, that is all I’m going to say about that.

In my mind, Violet was a warrior throughout this novel. She also was handed a very shitty hand due to Richard’s choices to leave all those years ago. But through all those years of separation, her feelings never wavered. There’s a fine line between love and hate and this novel shows how complex love/hate really and truly is. Hate is finely connected to love. The two go hand and hand.

Now onto the subject of one special individual… Daisy!
I say this all the time, a second chance, is the best when you add a child in the mix! Daisy, Violet’s daughter, was the final factor that pushed this novel up to a 5 star rating for me. This five year old girl is a whirlwind of sass and innocence. I found myself laughing so damn hard during her scenes, especially the moment with her and Rhys! These two had my clutching my side in pain from laughing at their wild antics. I couldn’t get enough!

This child brought so much happiness to this novel. It flawlessly balanced out the angst factor. Let’s not get started on the softness she brought to Richard’s character. His alpha protector mode kicked in full force when Violet and Daisy stepped back into the picture. Holy shit, this man was a beast on the hunt for any and all threats!

Another factor I loved within this novel was the suspense. The *not knowing* portion of this novel nearly killed me! I can’t tell you how many times I found myself sitting on the edge of my seat and how many times I jumped up from my couch with my kindle in hand and paced my living room floor. Word to the wise, expect the unexpected. Richard and Violet’s story is never as it seems. The twists and turns gave me a heavy case of emotional whiplash.

Do I recommend this novel?

Richard and Violet’s story tore my heart into smithereens! I loved not knowing what was going to happen and I loved how, nearly, every one of my predictions were wrong! Falling Into You was unpredictable! So if you love all of that plus a high dose of suspense, second chance true love, and angst.. I highly recommend you 1-click this bad boy immediately!!!!

The last six years of Richard Ramsey's life has been built on lies, guilt, regrets, anger, pain, and vengeance. Under that broody exterior, there is a man suffering internally and holding in his dark truths. While he and his band, Carolina George are beginning to celebrate success, he cannot forget that he has lost the most important thing to him for reasons he could not share. He left devastation and heartbreak in his wake in his hometown of Dalton, South Carolina years ago.

But now he and his band, Carolina George, are back in his hometown for his sister Emily and Royce's wedding. And all the demons and ghosts are coming for him. And he finds himself face to face with his biggest, loss and regret, Violet Marin.

As Richard and Royce and a few select others try to keep danger at bay and protect those they love, enemies are lurking in the shadows, threats are coming from various sides, secrets are unraveling, and lies are being exposed. But Richard knows now that he not only has to protect Violet, but he is not strong enough to leave her again. But getting her to believe that will be another challenge.

She has to protect her own heart and others from being hurt again. She is untrusting, unsure, bitter, angry, and scared. She knows he has power over her and he will be hard to resist. Their connection is strong, but it has been bent and broken. Their chemistry simmers and sparks around them. But she can't take the thought of letting him in and being destroyed again.

Richard is a man looking for revenge, redemption, forgiveness,, and salvation the only way he knows how with the ultimate goal to reclaim the life he walked away from. But he knows the secrets he holds could destroy everything.

There are so many intricate layers to this story spanning over six years that have been building through this series. Lies. Secrets. Hidden agendas. Connections. Threats. And it has now all been unleashed and it is spinning out of control.

It is an intense, emotional, suspenseful, passionate second-chance love story. It is written in dual points of view with some flashbacks in this author's unique and lyrical prose that holds you captive to the intensity of the story. It had me white-knuckling my kindle and at times holding my breath. It shows the importance of faith, friendship, family, and the possibility of soul mates. From heartbreak to hope. Destruction to rebuilding. Loss to reclaiming. Lies to honest vulnerability. Secrets to full exposure. Darkness to light.

This is Richard Ramsey's long and tortuous journey home.

Even though this can be read as a stand-alone novel, it is closely related to Catch Me When I Fall and I recommend reading both. It brings back all of the characters we have grown to care about so much with the members of Carolina George, Sunder, and even A Riot of Roses and all of their significant others and some family members. There are also many levels of antagonists and threats. I have to admit it is not always an easy read due to the darker aspects and so many moving parts to keep track of. But there are also small joys, laughter, and love emanating from all of these people lightening the heaviness. Sweet Daisy, outspoken Mel, and band bassist Rhys tend to demand attention and steal any scene they are in. I am interested to see where wildman Rhys's story is going to take us. I have an inkling and a hope of who he might end up with.

⭐️ 5+ "Amor, Amor, Amor" Stars ⭐️
I can never get enough of A.L. Jackson’s books! EVERY SINGLE TIME, she delivers the most heartfelt love stories with her elegant, lyrical prose. Falling Into You, the third novel in the Falling Stars Series had me so enthralled! This second chance romance was a MASTERPIECE on all aspects with its endearing protagonists, great story line and deep emotional level!

Before starting this novel, I was a little apprehensive because I wasn’t a fan of Richard in the previous book, Catch Me When I Fall. I soon changed that opinion when he showed from the start how an amazing and caring man he is. He hides secrets and is hurting under the bad decisions of the past, but it’s clear that he’s a good guy. When he’s back in his home town for his sister Emily’s wedding, he runs into his first love Violet. It’s clear that they have unfinished business with the wild energy simmering between them. Every time he’s in the same spaces as her, he can’t help but try to prove his devotion for her and redeem himself by letting his true feelings shine with his kindhearted actions. I loved how he shows Violet, that’s she’s always been the one in spite of their heartbreaking past. He wants to be her protector, but there’s still threats planning over him and his band Carolina George making their reunion complicated.

Violet is the epitome of small town girl with her genuine kindness and resilience. She has a lot of resentment over Richard’s betrayal from years ago. She tries to stay away from the man she never stopped loving, but Emily’s big event only create more occasions for them to be together. The magnetism between them is so powerful. They left me breathless from their beauty and the lust slowly building between them.

I enjoyed the back and forth between past and present. It created a high anticipation to discover all the details about their common past. The suspense took flight early in the story with little hints here and there at the big plot. I was dying to get answers about Richard’s past as well as how it connected with the events happening in the present.

Not only this gorgeous couple had my complete attention, but it was so nice to get to see more of Carolina George and its entourage. They brought a little lightness and humor to this story. There’s also new interesting and charming characters that stole my heart.

A.L. Jackson wrote a magnificent second chance romance that gave me chills! From tears of sadness to tears of happiness, from high animosity to blistering passion, I was transported by her exquisite way with words. Falling Into You gave me such a great entertainment and is at the top of my favorite read in 2020. I’m definitely giddy now for the next book in this epic Falling Stars Series.

Ok so I did not enjoy this as much as I did the previous book. I’m a reader that needs more dialogue to be engaged in a story and not let my mind wonder from the story or just miss out on what’s happening bc I need more than 1-2 sentences between H/h and truthfully between the characters in general.

I need paragraph of a dialogue in each chapter, too much inner monologue without banter it’s not for me.

Hopefully this will be remedied in the upcoming books.

Review Falling Into You (Falling Stars, #3) by A.L. Jackson✨

I was in tears throughout this novel just screaming at our main leads to be together already. Richard and Violet were two souls who were tethered to be together from the start and Amy sure as heck made you FEEL their emotional, passionate love throughout the novel. Her writing is one that is spellbinding, emotional, passionate and poignant. This is definitely my favourite book in the Falling Stars Series so far.
.
Our Heroine Violet is so strong, caring, loving and selfless. She has been through so much in her life already and just when she thought life couldn’t possibly throw anymore at her, in walks the love of her life Richard Ramsey. The man who broke her heart and ruined her for all others. It’s been 6 years and he still owns her heart like it was yesterday.

Our Hero Richard was such a beautiful, broken, possessive man. There is so much more than meets the eye when it comes to him. You can feel his love and intensity towards Violet right from the beginning but Amy keeps you on your toes guessing what happened between these two until the very end.

Falling into You is another beautiful, poetic masterpiece of words by A.L. Jackson. This book pulled at every one of my heartstrings from start to finish. There is heartbreak, joy, pain and I felt it all, every last emotion, every last squeeze of my heart as these two found there way back to one another. A truly beautiful story of redemption and forgiveness.

Violet is spitfire. She holds a lot of pain in her heart about her past but she is pushing through and is an incredible mom to Daisy.

Daisy is the sweetest little girl. I loved her spirit and joy. She sees so much and is smart, sweet and adorable.

Richard is holding onto to secrets and he is on the verge of ripping apart with the weight of those secrets.

The way this couple come together in agony and pain as they use each other to heal their wounds was so heartbreakingly beautiful.

A.L. Jackson pours her heart into her stories and this was no different. I loved the suspenseful storyline. It was gripping and kept me guessing.

Listening to the audiobook was so beautiful. Zachary Webber and Andi Arndt tap in to every feeling and emotion of these characters and did an outstanding job.

Overall Grade: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

If you aren’t reading A.L. Jackson’s Falling into You, then you are not living. It’s really quite simple. This is the fourth book in her Falling Stars series, and like its predecessors, is an angst-driven, beautifully drawn story of second chances. Page after page finds gorgeous prose, a quickened heart-beat of a story, and a couple so fated for each other that you cannot breathe deeply until their happy ending is wrought on the page. That’s really the essence of Jackson’s writing: she crafts this quiet spirited story and causes you to incrementally hold your breath until the story’s revelation is brought forth. Over and over again, with this series, you find yourself lost in the secrets of her fictional band, Carolina George. Each book holds its own secrets, and there is no peace until her heroes and heroines realize that hidden secrets are a detriment to true love. Once the secrets are revealed, the beauty of the love articulated on her pages is heightened to a fever pitch, and you honestly believe that you’ve never read anything like it. Reading Falling into You felt like I was sitting on a beach, sinking deeper in the sand with the waves crashing over me. However, a hand reaches out and pulls me from the gravity of the moment and places me in the brightest sunspot where I warm myself in the light of it. Overwhelmingly beautiful, emotionally satiating, Falling into You reveals Jackson’s deftness at creating characters and a story that feels timeless.

The big reasons for why you should run and grab A.L. Jackson’s newest book:

*Richard Ramsey is a revelation. Like I said at the beginning of this review, as is the case with the other books in this series, Richard is holding onto secrets. We believe we know those secrets, but carefully and craftily, Jackson exposes them slowly. You think you know Richard, but you have absolutely no idea. In his characterization, you are met with a brute force, a warrior, and a broken man. Even more, through Ramsey, Jackson illustrates her greatest flex: the ability to unravel a story that has been growing since the men and women of her Bleeding Stars series. When you realize the depth of her ability to thread a story through multiple books, you find yourself astounded by it. She uses Richard’s character to progress and end it in Falling into You. It illustrates her profound ability as a writer to create story.

*Her heroine, Violet, is the type of heroine you can’t help but fall in love with. She falls in line with Mia and Emily, women who have endured the worst of life and yet prevailed. As a woman, it’s important to read the resilience of a woman such as Violet.

*The family is all here. My favorite moments in this book are the moments of community. Those are also my favorite moments in the Bleeding Stars books as well. When the community isn’t right, Jackson builds a discord, and you can feel the brokenness. When the community comes together to show Violet their willingness to protect her at all costs, the beauty of this story is overflowing. My most favorite moments are the ones with Emily, Violet, Maggie, and Melanie. When these women are together, they elevate each other. Violet’s parents, Richard’s mother, and little Daisy add these layers of love to an already overflowing story of passion and adoration. It draws you in as the angst of the story tries to push you away. I love this dissonance, and it once again illustrates Jackson’s capacity as a writer.

*The story is the driving force of Falling into You. It’s captivating and entrancing. As Richard and Violet struggle to right the wrong of their past, the suspense of a bigger story keeps you turning the page. Richard and Violet’s adversity can be difficult to read especially if you pine for their reconciliation. However, the underlying story, the reasons for Richard’s choices, drive you forward until its dramatic conclusion.

*Once again, Jackson’s prose is poetic. I haven’t read another romance writer where the writer’s syntax, diction, and phrasing feel as though you are reading a book of poetry. Over and over again, Jackson’s words pull at your heart and soul, and you feel awed by her ability.

Falling into You holds special moments of a heart-wrenchingly, beautiful love affair. It overwhelms you as you read, but it feels like it whispers out to your heart even in its moments of ugliness. I felt this push to finish it, while a pull to stop prolonged my reading. This tells you that A.L. Jackson’s aptitude as a writer transfixes you as a reader. She takes the trials of her characters, and she emotionally invests you in them even if your life experiences are at odds with theirs. Time and time again, Jackson reminds you why you can’t stop reading her books. Simply put, she holds you captive to the idea that love, no matter the circumstances, will prevail.

A. L. Jackson's words always have this poetic quality that makes my soul sing and hum. And they are also powerful and bring the most destructive emotions. Falling Into You was such a lyrical and decadent love story with ability to wreck my heart with magical words.

Richard and Violet had one of those epic, written in the stars and life changing kind of love. But then Richard got entangled with something sinister, something evil and something terrible. And he had to leave without an explanation. Violet was broken. Now six years later he is back to their hometown for his sister Emily's wedding. Their band Carolina George has become famous. But Richard is on a dangerous mission to take down the dark force that destroyed his life and is ruining many innocents. He should keep Violet and the sweet kid she is bringing up as Mama away from his secrets. But he cannot. Will Violet forgive him? Specially when she comes to know about everything.

This story is all about angst, angst and more angst. The author is on an mission to break your heart and fill it with heartbreak. And she was successful in every page. The words were bleeding pain and despair. It was such a sweet torture to experience the broken jagged edges of Richard and Violet! He is shattered inside and barely keeping his pieces together. A world of lie and deception has thrown him into a permanent state of anger, guilt and regret. But Violent is the light of his soul! This woman is truly beautiful inside out. She is strong and resilient even after love hurt her beyond redemption. She is kind and sweet and she still finds goodness in the darkest heart. Their love gave me goosebumps and chills everytime. It had fire. It had peace. It had the determination to overcome all the obstacles. Their happily ever after came after a hellish journey through misunderstanding, danger and heartache of all kinds. The author made me come down on my knees by that sick twist and I am just deliriously happy that she made everything alright! Also be prepared to fall in never ending love with the sweetest kid ever, Daisy! Family and friends played a crucial role in the star crossed lovers' journey and I loved meeting some of my favorites again!

Falling Into stars by A.L. Jackson was a beautiful love story that filled my heart with all consuming, overwhelming and sweetest feels. She slayed me with her words every single time.

5 amor-amor-amor stars! A story brimming with emotion, and seething with desire and desperation. This author's words are sheer poetry.

"Tell me it's true. Tell me you still love me because I'm done pretending like I don't need you."

Richard Ramsey and Violet Marin fell in deep, passionate, all-consuming love very fast. He was on his way to rock stardom and she was going to be by his side every step of the way. Until she wasn't. Until he completely shattered her heart. And, his own.

"My guts knotted with the chaos she incited. I might have been the one who'd had her backed against a wall, but she was the one who had me chained."

Six years later, Richard is back in his hometown of Dalton for his sister, Emily's wedding. When he comes face to face with Violet again, all those old feelings that he'd been suppressing came surging back. However, he's hiding dark secrets that could break them all over again.

"A music god who'd stolen the songs right out of my soul. Pieces of myself missin' because they would forever belong to him."

This author writes with such dramatic flair. She uses beautiful words like weapons to cut through the reader's heart and mind. Richard and Violet were riveting together. Their emotions were tangible things that shimmered off the page. There are so many feels in this story: anguish, fear, joy and indomitable love. There's intense passion and prickly suspense, as well some lighthearted moments with super cute little Miss Daisy! Another winner from this talented author!

❤ I was given this book by the author in return for an honest review ❤

Oh WOW this book was something else!!

❤ Second Chance

 First Love

❤ Forgiveness

❤ Suspense

❤ Rockstar

❤ Intensity

❤ Love

❤ Passion

❤ Loyalty

In this book we meet Violet and Richard and this pair have history on so many levels! There is so much love between them but unfortunately that love ran its course years previously. They come face to face with one another while celebrating Richards sister Emily's wedding, and oh my gosh you can feel the hatred falling off of Violet, but is it hatred? Or is it something else?

In this book you will be taken for a huge ride!! You will feel so much distress and angst and at some points serious frustration but for most of it you will feel hope, hope that love really does conquer everything and that all is not lost.

The characters in this book are really something else, the loyalty between everyone just screams out loud. There is so much love in this group of people that you can't help but smile.

Daisy, sweet Daisy! There is a character in herself. That girl is adored by all and that shines through in her confidence and her character.

There are also a lot of twists in this story, a lot of which you will not see coming and have you screaming out loud with frustration. It will really take you by surprise and have you thinking what the heck just happened?

This story is an absolute page turner, you will not want to put this book down. Seriously it will have you on the edge if your seat looking for more.

Great read, thank you so much for the pleasure.
