The idea of two men getting together in mutual desperation, wanting their very best friend and yet finding out they care so deeply for each other as well because of it, just made it for me.
Cassie is a character hurt and confused, returning to her home three years after she left her two best friends Alan and Kyle. She caught them 'together' one night and simply fled. On her return she runs into Kyle and - unexpectedly, while emotions run sky-high - sleeps with him. She does this not knowing that he and Alan are still together, and after she's forgotten that she, herself, is engaged to another man back in the city.
The whole idea of cheating on a significant other - no matter WHO that is, or was - has never sat well with me. And yet this novel still attracts me because Alan and Kyle both have it in their head that whomever gets Cassie should take the chance and the other will 'fade into the sunset' which kind of answers the questions as to why Kyle doesn't exactly feel he's cheating on Alan with Cassie.
That aside, the internal conflict with all three characters is well done, just angsty enough to create good conflict but without overdoing it. My only real complaint would have to be the final schmex scene; all of a sudden, insecure Cassie is ordering both men around. Didn't quite fit with the idea I had of her the whole rest of the novel. =/

So maybe I have read too many ménage stories but this just story just did not work for me, I realize it is a short story so not a lot of character development or background but to me Cassie just came off as kinda whiny and wimpy….yes you're in love with your two best friends, and yes, you see them getting it on, you obviously were not that good of friends if you ran off with no explanation or confronting them about it (or maybe I am expecting the character to do what I would do which is call them on it...not that I have ever been in love with two people equally or at the same time….) so while I normally like this author this one just did not do it for me, I guess I like my heroines a bit stronger….

M/M/F and the variations of that menage. I am a newbie in the M/M stories...still adjusting to them, but I liked the way the story unfolded and the way the sex scenes were described, it really did it for me. For being a novella, I felt like I still got a good feel for the deep feelings Cassie, Alan and Kyle had for each other.
This menage was so easy to believe, I actually think I could understand one like this happening in real life.
I keep telling myself to stop reading novellas because I keep getting upset they are over too soon, but I am glad I haven't stuck to it yet because I wouldn't have read this great story.

Great stary, very hot. I'm just a little disappointed that it was so short. It's almost 3.50 on B and N for an e-book that's barely 150 pages. I would have liked to see a little more character development and some more story line.

A decent read, but really really short and not much character or story development. The plot sounded really good to me, a girl torn between her two best male friends all her life discovers them together and is so heartbroken she leaves town without a word and doesn't return until years later, engaged to another man. She runs onto her past loves and discovers that they always loved her and still do and want her to stay and be with them. Like I said, a good plotline, but it was so short and there was very little interaction between the characters other than sex scenes so you don't really get to know and love them. I liked them, but I never got to connect with them. But it was still a pretty decent read :)

There's something about the fumblings of first love and lust that is just ridiculously steamy to me. And this book has some great tidbits in it. I even enjoyed that while the characters were blind (helped along by lack of communication), it didn't take them FOREVER to figure things out. YAY! The end sequence where things got a lot more ....not exactly kinky, but it just seemed to come out of nowhere and didn't necessarily fit what we'd known of the characters. But whatevs, it was satisfying and had a great romance aspect, so works for me!

I do think this was a good story but there could be so much more to it. If the author turned this into something maybe twice as long, I would have loved it. The characters just needed to be fleshed out a bit more. But overall, a good tale. I love reading about non-traditional relationships and making them work. It's so fascinating. See also: steamy. :)

This was hot! Who wouldn't want two hot guys to want them so much they turn to lovin' from each other till you pick between them. I felt really bad for Cassie, though. I would have reacted in the same way. I would have loved for this story to go on longer and add more layers to each character and their love story.

Was ok. There was f/m, m/m, m/f/m action going on. I dunno, I felt this would have been stronger if it had maybe been longer, because as short as it was I couldn't connect or feel anything for the characters.

I had a little trouble with this one. The length seemed too short for me to build up interest in the characters and I think this affected my ability to believe in their emotional investment in each other.

I truly enjoyed this book! It had the element of love between the two male characters, making the menage relationship more believable. BUT it was short. One sex scene and then happily ever after. I personally would have enjoyed more.

This was actually really good, especially for this genre. Books of this genre are usually nothing more than cheesey smut, but this one had a good story behind it and some genuine emotion. Bravo!

Wow. This book is smutty, and I loved it. It's filled with a lot of my favourite tropes, I really connected with all three characters, and it was short and sweet.
