Ava Callahan.

Love of my life.

Wrecker of my soul.

I would have sworn on anything that what we shared was real.

But she broke my trust. And then my heart. I don't think I can piece it back together without her, but I'm sure gonna try.

I’m better off on my own, anyways, right? Who needs girls when you have football?

If only I believed that. Look, when you need someone in your lif

Meant to Be was the perfect ending to Eli and Ava’s story. We get these two finding their way back to each other despite obstacles of teenage life and family. They know they are meant to be and they will let nothing stay in their way of being together. It’s funny, because in this book we see how these two have rubbed off on each other. In good ways, and in some not so good ways, but they are still funny ways. You’ll have to read to find out. This book is pretty steamy, so if you’re looking for a ...more

Ava Callihan is the youngest daughter of football legend Drew Callihan. She lives in a small town where she attends high school and is a cheerleader for the Badgers. Life is good, but uneventful. Then her world turns complicated when she falls for the quarterback of her school's biggest rival. Eli Bennett is the bad boy, trash talking troublemaker of the Mustangs football team. I'm not ready to say goodbye to Ava and Eli! This series, and especially Ava and Eli's two books, are really YA romance at it's finest- the sweet longing and insecurities, all that teenage angst, a deep chemistry well beyond their years, and all that first love butterflies and nostalgia. Addicted to Him gave me all those swoony feelings as we remember what it is like to fall in love for the first time, and Meant to Be charms as we explore what it takes to STAY in love. And it’s not easy, especi ...more

This book was everything I wanted and more. From beginning to end, I devoured every word and page, needing to know what was going to happen and how everything was going to play out.

I hate to say too much and give anything away, but just know that this story was everything that Ava and Eli needed. It’s real and raw, and sometimes a little messy. I still wanted to punch Jake in the face, and that pains me because I loved him so much in his own book. He may take that overprotective brother role a

Fantastic ending to Ava and Eli’s story! This started off where “Addicted To Him” stopped so you do need to read that book first. And oh what a ride! Fun, Sweet, Emotional, and so, so Hot! This book was everything a contemporary young adult story should be, friendships, first romances, serious issues and strong family bonds. But this book was deeper, heavier and sexier than the first one, and I really enjoyed and appreciated that.

I found the development of Eli and Ava’s characters to be really

Ohhhhh gosh. This story was perfect.
There is something that just gets to me about young, first love.
When we first met Eli, he was not someone that I thought would be a favorite book boyfriend.
But.. you really get an in depth feel for his family life in this story and now I am just a sucker for him. Ava and Eli really compliment each other. There are so many other dynamic relationships between the characters in this story and I found them very compelling too.
To be honest, I had been in the bigges

Oh my!!! We pick up where Addicted to Him left us, hearts feeling broken and not sure what will happen between Eli and Ava. Our hearts are broken into pieces, but this story slowly starts to build it and piece it back together, hoping it will be mended, but Eli and Ava takes us on a rollercoaster of emotions that you aren't sure how it will end with them. Monica Murphy creates these worlds of characters where you feel a part of the journey and feel for these characters. Eli, man, you love and ha ...more

....And we get the conclusion to Eli and Ava's story after only having to wait about a month after Addicted to Him (thank you for that, Monica Murphy)! This book is for us! If you haven't read that book yet, stop what you're doing and pick it up before reading this one. This is high school love and angst at it's best!

Remember falling in love for the first time? Remember what it felt like at 16/17 to think THAT was your whole world? Remember the times in high school that you thought would alter y

Meant To Be by Monica Murphy was a great conclusion to Ava and Eli's story. This picked up exactly where Addicted to Him left off, with Ava and Eli having just broken up on the street after everything comes to a head with Ava's brother Jake. Ava and Eli go to rival schools, and Eli is Jake's rival, so their relationship is kept a secret until they get caught seeing each other. Meant To Be follows the fallout of that and them working through their insecurities and having a relationship that's pub ...more

Angsty teen drama

This is the fourth book in The Callahan’s series and the second book for Ava and Eli. I would recommend you read all the books in the series but you definitely need to read Addicted to Him before Meant to Be.

This book really captures the teenage angst! Ava is such a drama Queen and at times I was like... “seriously...” but then I remember she’s 16 so it’s realistic. The good news is... I like Eli now! It took me nearly until the end of the book but I finally started to see wha

Monica Murphy gives us a truly headstrong and passionate couple in Eli Bennett and Ava Callahan and from start to finish, they had me on one crazy ride. After the intensity and THAT cliffhanger to in Addicted to Him, I wa

I've been on board with the Callahan crew from day 1. Drew + Fable are one of my all-time favorite couples, so reading the stories of their kids has been an absolute treasure. I don't want it to end. I could read about this family forever. And yes, Beck needs a story! My imagination is running wild!

On to Ava and Eli---> I loved each couple in this series, but Ava and Eli really hit me hard. I loved them so much! SO MUCH! (Sorry, Autumn! I love you and Ash too!) I just truly connected with Ava.

I loved all of this series so much. I stayed up all night to finish reading this book. I love how Eli is getting better are dealing with his issues. Ava is great for him. I love Jake standing up for his sister. The callahans are a great family I wish they were real. I really enjoyed the plot and character. Ava is my favorite but I love Beck the most. He is just awesome and I hope someday he will get a story.

This was an amazing conclusion to Eli and Ava's story. I loved how new problems were introduced but the old problems still were there. Those problems helped both Ava and Eli grow into better people and Ava's growth was honestly hilarious. I never expected her to react how she did based on the first book but seeing her new found strength appear was the best. I hope we get to see more of these characters and their partners in future books but if not, I feel that the ending of this book was perfect ...more

I was so excited to receive this! I was soooo anxious to know what happened after the fact. I devoured this right away!

Eli and Ava are my fave in the series. It's angsty but not too much where you get drained from reading.

Looking back, I can definitely understand why they needed a second book and not shorten the first to fit everything. I mean, these guys already have two books about them and I still wanted to read more... I feel like it was hanging but who knows? There may be a book or nove

Thank you Monica Murphy for writing such a brilliant and captivating series. Eli and Ava were by far my best YA couple of 2020. I think the reason why they meant so much to me is because I witnessed their individual characters evolve. I loved everything about this book. At times I had to remind myself that we’re dealing with 16/17 year olds and of course they’ll react immaturely in certain situations.

I do wish we got some years on them in the epilogue but I can only assume they will be in the s

Eli Bennett is the best! Hands down ... he has become a top book boyfriend of all time!

Meant to Be by Monica Murphy proved to be an epic conclusion to Eli and Ava's epic romance. You will get all the feels and thrills with some beautiful moments and stunning emotions!

Eli Bennett and Ava Callahan cannot be together- as per everyone else's opinion. Eli and Ava's brother Jake are school football enemies. And Jake said something really bad and nasty that made Eli leave Ava broken hearted. But she has faith in their love. They have a lot of issues to work through including Eli's person

The last in the Callahan’s series this is the conclusion of an epic, if not angst ridden, love story.
You need to have read Addicted to him as this book goes straight in at the deep end. There is no gentle intro, you head straight into Ava’s broken heart. Its those ups and downs of being 16/17 that you thought you forgot, and this book throws you back in time. Its beautifully written with there being no doubt of the characters loves, hates and weaved so well that you just fall in to being on the

Meant to Be is book 4 in The Callahans and it’s the continuation and conclusion of Ava and Eli’s story.
Please make sure you have read Addicted to Him before picking this one up.
These two broken teens find their way back to each other but before they can truly be a couple they need to deal with some issues, come to grips with teenage hormones as well as dealing with family relationships and that’s a real big ask for such young people but they somehow manage to cope.
I guess true love will conque

4 Star Review of Meant To Be (The Callahans #4) by Monica Murphy

Although I don’t normally read YA/NA there is something about Monica Murphy’s writing that draws me in and I quickly become invested in the story she weaves.

This is the conclusion to Ava Callahan and Eli Bennett’s story who we met in Addicted to Him and it was one that ticked a lot of boxes for me. It was well written with characters whose story you cannot help but fall for. Set in high school there is typical angst, drama and high

Murphy did not disappoint! I loved the way she continued Eli & Ava’s love story. Two broken teen hearts that find their way back to each other. They overcome their issues as a couple, and improve their family relationships as well. It warmed my heart seeing Eli work on his relationship with his mom and brother Ryan. Of course I love the entire Callahan clan. Such a sweet ending, and I think it couldn’t have been more perfect! ...more

Overall Grade: ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 1/2

Monica Murphy’s Meant to Be is a continuation and a conclusion of sorts to her first book in the duet, Addicted to Him. This duet follows the star-crossed lover’s trope with her hero and heroine attending rival high schools and the hero, Eli Bennett, showing open disdain for the heroine’s brother, his football rival. If I had to rename this series, I’d call it The Humanization of Eli Bennett because, in the book preceding this duet, Eli Bennet is difficult to like, let

MEANT TO BE is the fourth instalment in Monica Murphy’s contemporary, young adult THE CALLAHANS erotic, romance series focusing on the second generation of the Callahan family; and the second half of sixteen year old, Ava Callahan and seventeen year old, Eli Bennett’s story. MEANT TO BE should not be read as a stand alone as it picks up immediately after the events and cliff hanger of ADDICTED TO HIM (The Callahans #3).

NOTE: MEANT TO BE is a young adult story line ( characters under eighteen yea
