Funniest novel I've read in a long time!
Witty, multi-talented author who really shines in this book.
Highly recommend!

Hating the Boss is a light, refreshing read, and although it deals with love and a certain ring going missing, it didn’t feel like the plot was heavy in any way. It was so nice to read something that was less intense and Kristen has certainly done a fantastic job with her first rom com.
Jaxon and Raegen were hilarious. The pranks they played, their banter, it was all great.
The friendship group that Raegen has with her friends was front and centre for me. I loved it when all of the girls got tog

Once I heard that Kristen was working on a rom-com I was so intrigued and taken by surprise as her 4 previous books are complete opposites. But knowing her from Instagram I had no doubt she will deliver it perfectly as she is total nutcracker type of a person herself and I knew that this story will be full of funny banter and a great laugh.

I read “Hating the boss” in one sitting because I like Kristen’s style a lot and this book was no difference – it’s always easy to read, touching and emotiona

Loved it. Totally refreshing, laugh out loud funny & sweet. Being a teacher myself, I loved all the school references & big ups to fellow teachers in here. I too had a boy relieve himself on my classroom floor! What we do on a day to day basis, hey!
Anyway, this was a light & easy read & I flew through it. I gotta admit my guess for the ring thief was totally off. I had guessed correctly at the beginning then changed my guess to involve someone else. I won’t put any spoilers in here though. A fa

This book had me laughing out loud and snorting liquid out my nose! Kristen absolutely killed it with this rom-com. Prior to this, the authors books had been more dramatic and suspenseful romance reads. This book floored me with its witty banter, juvenile games, hilarious awkwardness, super sexy bedroom scenes and unbreakable friendships.

From beginning to end, I was enamored with Raegan. I felt like her character was someone you knew personally. We all have that woman in our life who’s just like

If you’re a fan of rom-coms, this book is for YOU! This was such a light, easy read that had me laughing so hard at times. The bickering and the pranks between Reagan and Jaxon was just hilarious. Everything was well written and while this book isn’t very long, nothing felt super rushed and the character development was great. Loved this book! :)

“Hating the Boss”—Kristen Granata [5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️] This was my first read by this author, and wow this was awesome; I finished this in just one day! This book was so light and fun to read and I was hooked right from the beginning. Reagan goes out with her friends to celebrate her recent divorce, where she meets this gorgeous man Jaxon, who she totally hits it off with. She ends up going home with him, and the next morning does the walk of shame out of his apartment while he’s asleep, not th ...more

I loved this witty, love-hate-love rom-com. The banter between Raegan and Jaxon was great. The characters were well developed and their pranks were awesome! I could even see myself pulling off some of them. LOL. The chemistry between them was undeniable. You feel the draw from the very beginning despite their little war.

This was my first read by Kristen Granata. I enjoyed it a lot and look forward to reading more books by this author.

This book is exactly what my soul needed at this moment. I loved this rom-com so much! I couldn't put it down and literally read it in a matter of hours. I loved that it was equal parts sweet and charming, laugh out loud funny and also had elements of raw and emotional moments in it. Jaxon and Raegan's did not have your typical relationship and they had huge hurdles to overcome throughout their story but it was such a joy to read this book. Their prank wars left me laughing out loud until my sto ...more

* This is my honest review, although I won this book in a giveaway I was not under any obligation to leave a review.

This is my first book that has introduced me to Kristen Granta. I was not familiar of the author and I came to know about her in giveaway because i was intrigued by the summary of Hating the Boss, (honestly i never thought I would win since i never win anything) i am being honest on my part when I say i truly like the author's writing style. A super story set in an elementary school. An interesting adventure to find love with a few hundred rug rats under foot. Love and chemistry flow strongly but events keep getting in the way.

Hating the Boss by Kristen Granata is incredibly funny and sexy. Reagan and Jaxon go through a lot throughout this book and most of the time I was laughing out loud. Super quick read rom-com that I highly recommend.

Powerful female lead that doesn’t let people bring her down? ✔️

A hot male lead that doesn’t revolve around the need to control the female? ✔️

Hot steamy scenes? ✔️

A hilarious plot and scenes that make you choke on your drink? ✔️✔️✔️

Kristen Granata mixes it all in this book and does it flawlessly since chapter one in her debut in the genre. A funny, hot and great rom-com that had me hooked since the very beginning.

Raegan is a beautifully constructed character. I admire teachers and genuinely good

Who knew Kristen Granata could step away from the emotional rollercoaster romances she slays and give us a perfect rom-com? ME! I knew the second she told me. This woman can write no wrong. And I’m not just saying that because I’m in the book. Which by the way, was so surreal and the best surprise ever. I definitely cried. All over the place.

Hating the Boss was so much fun to read. It gave us everything. It was light but raw in emotion. It was empowering and heartwarming. It was sexy as hell an

Hating the Boss

5 stars

Oh my goodness. All the stars.

Honestly Kristen is my spirit animal. She’s a master storyteller and her writing voice is so distinct and hilarious and I loved every minute of it.

You can really see her personality come through in her writing and it makes for the best characters. Hilarious, relatable, lovable characters that you want to smother in love.

This was so amusing, there wasn’t a single moment while reading where I wasn’t literally laughing out loud!

So previously I read all of Kristen Granata's Collision series and LOVED it. I loved her realistic romances featuring real people with real problems. And then I read this RomCom and I must say, for her first try at this type of genre, she knocked it out of the park! It was such a fun read and a sweet read too. I could honestly see this being a movie in the future, so more of you need to read it so that can happen! One thing I loved about this book was Rae's group of very supportive friends and f ...more

Have your ever tried to guffaw quietly? It's near impossible! I read this book while my whole family was asleep. It was absolutely hilarious which made it very hard to hold in the laughs!

This was a fast paced, page turner of a read! The characters were fun with lots of snark which is my favorite!

I loved this book! It wasn't one of those romances where everything is all laid out and plain as day as soon as you start. It had just enough romance too! I am a usually a sex scene skimmer but not this

I would like to go on the record stating that KRISTEN IS FUNNY! No. HILARIOUS. This made me giggle, snort, and choke on the Oreos I was eating while reading. This book was the perfect way to de-stress after a long day and just spend some time laughing. The pranks were top-notch and part of me is wondering how Kristen came up with them and the other part of me doesn’t even want to know.

Even with how funny this book was, it still had romantic moments. I was rooting SO HARD for Jaxon & Raegan! ☺️📚

I fell in love with Kristen's work from Collision...if you love her first 4 books them PLEASE do yourself a favor and read this. It was such a departure from her previous books that I was honestly a little nervous because I know she was nervous about it too. You will seriously not be disappointed in this book. It is everything that a romantic comedy should be and then some! Do yourself a favor and pre-order this book as soon as possible! ...more

It was such a great kind of quirky book. I loved the give and take between the two main characters, I was actually laughing out loud. Kristen also added in some pretty great one liners. She really nailed this book, with a realistic portrayal of what actually goes through women's minds, to the pranks, family drama and the desk sex. This book was just what I needed. I loved it. ...more

Sweet. Sexy. LOL-y. Swoony man, sharp woman finding her voice again. This book came highly recommended for humor and steam and did not disappoint. And can we mention the *perfection* that is Jax? I had a dream about him after I finished the book (at 2am) and it was JUST as good as what’s in the story. I’ll just say that 😉

My first book by this author, but I will definitely check out others. A fun enemies to lovers rom-com. Having worked in a school, so much of what was written in this book is spot on! Watching Sadie & Reed dance around their feelings for each other and their humor and antics make for an enjoyable read.

Hating the Boss grabbed me with a hint of mystery in the beginning, kept my attention with witty banter and some laugh aloud antics, then kept me hooked until the final scene with the theme of forgiveness. Love truly can conquer all. Recommended for anyone looking for a fun escape and some sizzling chemistry between the main characters.

When Raegan meets a hot guy named Jaxon at a bar while out celebrating her divorce with friends, she goes home with him drunk. Only to puke her insides and pass out. And, little does she know, he’s actually her new boss. Talk about awkward. What’s worse? Jaxon’s late grandmother’s ring went missing, and he’s pinning the likely culprit to be none other than Raegan. After all the pranks and schemes, do these two actually like each other?
