Beginning with simple recognition of the most basic sight words like "the" or "and", this book moves into identifying more complex words like "said" or "over". With word scramble games and coloring puzzles, this book is sure to engage the attention of young children. There is also a bonus game section in the back of the book where little readers can show off their new skills in reading!
There is a chart at the beginning where the child can track their progress through all the activities, and color in the star when they have finished each page. There is also a cute certificate at the end of the book proclaiming the child to be a "Sight Words Super Star"!
The colorful illustrations make this book really special. The games, hidden puzzles, connect the dots, word searches, and secret messages really make learning fun! There are also activities to cut out paper letters and paste them back onto the page, rearranging them into different words.
This is a wonderful workbook to get beginning readers ages 4-6 excited about learning!
