I absolutely adored these guys. Wes is a “straight” tattoo artist who is a part time musician and doesn’t believe in love or relationships. He spends a night with Miles, a sexy A list celebrity, and from then on, they can’t stay away from each other. I loved the way they kept pulling away and crashing back together, like they were linked by an invisible elastic and staying apart was literally impossible. It took them a long time to admit their feelings to each other, but once they did, :::swoon:

This book has been quite a rollercoaster ride.
I loved Miles and Wesley and I was soooo happy, when they finally got their well deserved HEA.
Although I haven't read the previous books getting into the story was easy.

What a great story. Two men left by loved ones find the one who will stay in each other. I loved this story. The angst, the wrestling with who they are, the nervousness, and the fear of love. This journey was a long one. And it did take a while but when they finally got there what a magical place it was.

Honestly, not even sure how I finished this one. It was sooo long and for more than 80% it felt like nothing of substance happened. I skimmed the end, but read enough to know that Wes’ complete 180 wasn’t believable at all and everything with the label and the douche-y manager worked out too easily. Pretty cheesy, IMO.
Also, I can’t put my finger on what it was per-say, but I could tell this author mostly writes M/F. Tbh they both behaved more like teenage girls more than grown men.

M/M romance is a fairly new concept fairly new trope for me and I felt like this book was the perfect book to ease me into it. I loved this book so much. It was top shelf romance for sure. The author created 2 amazing main characters. Miles 'Brady' Madison is a rockstar with a bad reputation. Rumours mostly, because he's a great guy. I feel like 5 stars don't quite show how much I loved this book. It was amazing! It kept me torn between wanting to hug both of them or wanting to beat them senseless for their foolish stubbornness, specially Wes. But in the end, everything worked and it was just perfect. I do wish however, that we had a bit more of their story after they got married. PLEASE, PLEEEEAAASSE write a sequel to their story. It was never a mistake....
This was a wonderful read. The mix ups and make ups were tastefully done. I also enjoyed how their actual friendship and relationship developed. It felt very organic yet hot and saucy.

This book wrecked me in so many ways. The characters are so honest and believable, the story is so sweet and raw. The relationship between Wes and Miles is beautiful and flawed but they love each other enough to keep trying. Who could ask for more in an author's MM genre debut. I truly hope she continues the story with these guys!

DNF @ 5%. Normally I wouldn't even bother to rate from that little, but this was way too problematic to let go. Two separate mentions of women falsely accusing two different guys of rape. In the first 5%!!! REALLY? In 2020 we're still going to perpetuate this lie? Author going on my never ever list.

Miles and Wes....characters I've got to know in other books, get a chance to share their story, and wasn't it a cracker! I loved that we got to interact with the characters from other books - but Be Your Mistake can be read as a stand along. The story was raw, emotional and real. I hope there is more!

Wes and Miles have both made mistakes. Miles' have just been more public. When everything falls apart, these two fall together. But it's just a hookup, right? They don't do commitment.

I am honestly without appropriate words to describe this book. I won’t hide that I love Sariah Skye as an author, i have read and enjoyed everything she wrote so far. But this book? It’s everything I wanted and more.
Not a mistake
So this was a story about engaging in certain behaviors thinking it is a mistake but later finds out it is an actual surprise. One of the main characters was a bit more insecure than the other. But they seemed to be able to figure things out.

Damn, Be Your Mistake by Lizzie Fox and Sariah Skye, is a fantastic rocker romance. Part of the Be Yours Trilogy, it is easily read as a standalone.
Miles is a closeted bisexual rocker, who is fighting both personal and professional problems. Wesley's a straight acquaintance who suddenly is experiencing a sexual awakening with the rocker star. Thus the beginning of a gay for you story for one man, and an out for you story for the other.

This book is part of a series but as the only MM so far, it's designed to stand alone, and for the most part it does. There's a list of characters in the back that would have helped me if it had been in the front.

I really liked this book, but for some reason I kept getting tripped up on the editing, or rather, lack thereof. And I usually can ignore those. It’s like this is the first draft with some edits, and the editor didn’t catch all the mistakes or awkward phrasings, etc. But I really did like the story.

Not going to lie, dnf this book. Every other paragraph was just the characters talking about pining after each other and how much they wanted each other. I wanted to be like, don't y'all have any interest or hobbies? Don't y'all have jobs? Don't y'all have people to talk to and talk about outside of each other?

My favorite types of romance stories are when the couple has to fight for their love. And man did these two go through some SHIT before they got their HEA.
I've never read this author before and rock star stories aren't really my cuppa but I am so glad I took a chance on this story because it was so damn good. The story telling was phenomenal and I could see the entire story play out like a film in my head. ...more

This was a surprisingly great book. I have never read this author before. I tend to not like books written by authors who mostly write mf. This book was well written and the characters were well developed. I highly recommend this book.

4* Be Your Mistake is the first book I've read by this author, but it won't be the last! This is a spin-off from the (MF) Be Yours series but does not have to be read in order to appreciate this book. Would recommend.
