Recalling her numerous travels abroad, the model and actress outlines a multicultural beauty plan that uses all-natural products to keep hair, skin, hands, and feet looking healthy and beautiful.
I did not get a chance to try out any of the recipes in this book while I had it checked out from the library the first time. That said, I read it from cover to cover and liked the more whole-self aspect of it. The fact that it included not only your body and skin, but also your spirit appealed to me, even though I often am hesitant about things that are a bit on the "airy fairy" side. It felt organic and natural to me that if you are going to put forth the time and effort to make your own skin and beauty care products that using them should not be rushed, but rather become a ritual.
I definitely want to check out this one again and give some of the recipes a try. If they turn out this may end up on my wish list.
I read this book as a very young adult. It is beautiful and it introduced me to the ways of natural skincare. It has simple information and it is truly beautiful to look at.
More like a long, glossy paged magazine that lists the same few essential oils for different body parts. A good coffeetable book, but not necessarily new information.
Bought this book last summer and have been using the wonderful recipes ever since. Highly recommend this book to anyone wanting to create their own healthy, natural skin products. Great find!
