This is the second book in the Holbrook Series by Jasmine Stevens, although it can be read as a standalone.
An Australian rural romance that his high on suspense, mystery, and intrigue.
I could not put this book down. I was a fan of Jasmine's writing in her first book Waiting For You but I have to say this is my favourite. Ben and Emma's story is so full of angst and danger that it had me captivated from beginning to end.

I loved the story of Emma and Ben. I was a fan of Jasmine Steven’s writing after reading her very first novel Waiting for you. I couldn’t wait for the second one and now I wait patiently for the third! I think the added suspense was what grabbed me in this book and had me turning the pages late into the night. The developing romance between the two characters was beautiful. So glad they got their happy ending. For me though the most special part of the book was the relationship that developed be

This author absolutely had my attention from the beginning word. The author roped me in and drugged me with her words and situations she has created. I loved her writing and everything about her characters.
Watching Ben and Emma’s relationship develop was a great thing. It was steamy, emotional, and everything in between. They have instant chemistry and they sizzle when they are together.
I recommend this read for sure!!

I so loved this book. I truly enjoyed the familiarity of the characters and the surroundings, as a follow on from ' waiting for you '. To incorporate previous characters into an entirely different story gives just enough. Enough to feel you know them but an exciting new story in it's own right. Very clever writing for a new author. I can't wait to see what's next. Highly recommend.

Jasmine Stevens is a new author to me. She has written a romantic love story. Emma MacIntosh an ex police officer and single mum moves to the town of Holbrook near Newcastle from Melbourne with her daughter Zoe to start a new life. She hoping to start a new life find a job after been seriously injured through work. She is not looking for love but when she meets Ben Beckett a handsome young farmer she begins to have feelings for new friends but tells him they can only be friends when he shows int

Lust in the dust with a little bit of drama.
Not a suspense - hardly even a drama. This book didn’t thrill me. It felt like a poorly put together second draft. There was obviously extra backstory written into the first sections to add depth to generally bland characters and the flow was stilted and voice was often self contradictory. The pace was fast enough that you could get through it without much dawdling and being a blessedly short 143 pages was a bonus.

This is the first book I've read by this author. The beginning of this book definitely grabbed my attention. I could tell it was one that was going to keep me ensnared. Emma sure has gone through a lot and she stepped up to the plate for Zoe. Starting over in a new city to give Zoe the best life possible. Only thing is she's keeping secrets and those secrets could cost her the new life she has created for her and Zoe. I really liked Ben. He's so cute with Zoe. There is more than meets the eye wh
