Don't run. Don't fight. Just hide. That's all we can do against the Sasor barbarian horde – huge megalithic aliens, born to fight, who can shape shift at will into monsters. We're only human, and me, just a slave among them.

Getting caught is not part of the plan, but when they raid our village, I do the only thing I can think of to spare the whole. I offer myself up to

My Review

Wow, I enjoyed this one massively.
A Completely new author for me but definitely one I’m going to be watching out for and I’m certainly going to check out other books by her in the future.

So the world-building with this was phenomenal like so good.
In fact, my only slight issue here and this was a small one is this did take me a while to get my head around some of the strange names used the world-building here was just that complex.
Once I managed that this was absolute magic and I sailed through t

As ever, thanks to everyone for reading and extra extra thanks to those who have/will/are leaving reviews! It goes a long way.

The first 3 books in the Xiveri Mates series are available in 2020 while the next 3 books will be released in 2021. Each Xiveri Mates book can be read as a standalone, but you'll get more out of book 2 by reading book 1 first. Books 3 & 6 take place outside of the Voraxian solar system and thus can be read in any order.

I have been followed this author for quite some time now. I even loved the previous books in the series.
And this book again is amazing!!
I am amazed at how easily she creates a whole new world in every book that too with the unimaginable story + characters + plotting.

The characters are completely different from the previous ones. He is a snakeshifter for God sake!!
And the heroine is a strong half human who SLAPPED the big monster in

I received an e-ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review. Review can also be found on *Milky Way of Books*

I have been following this author since my fellow GoodReads friends recommended her books to me. And boy was I surprised? I enjoyed the first two books which featured strong heroines and aliens of all shapes and kinds as all of them navigated intergalactic politics, cultural misunderstandings and their growing feelings.

While each book is loosely connected to each other, I do have

Elizabeth Stephens blew my mind again with a steamy and immersive sci-fi romance that I couldn’t put down. I love her Xiveri Mates series, and Taken to Sasor is no exception. The story follows Mian and Neheyuu, a life-long slave and a snake-shifting clan leader who find themselves questioning everything they believe in the name of love.

Mian is an incredibly brave woman. A slave her entire life, she bravely offers herself to save fellow slaves when a raiding party invades their village. Neheyuu,

Amusing. Clever. Sexy.

‘Taken to Sasor’ has everything from intense battles to scorching hot love scenes. I had intended to read this over a couple days. Once the story got going, I couldn’t put it down. It is a page turner!

Throughout the book various battles were fought. The alpha males vying for mates and status. The amusing battles between Mian and Neheyuu. The internal struggle between Neheyuu and his altered forms.

Elizabeth Stephens cleverly includes themes of diversity and empowerment with

This is book 3 in Xiveri mates series. This one felt like the start of new series and not part of the current one. I enjoyed the heroine and enjoyed the fish out of water aspect in this book. Reading her find friends and family for the first time was great. There are some really great female side characters that I would be interested in seeing get their own book. Now, to the hero. The 1st half of the book I wanted to strangle him at times and I'm glad his animal took him to task as well as some ...more

In my top favorites of 2020!

This was my first alien shifter romance and I loved it! Elizabeth Stephens has created this fictional world I could definitely see on the big screen. This enemies-to-lovers romance grabbed my attention and I couldn't put it down. The author vividly describes these places, characters, and language, to where I see and feel them as if I am a part of their story. It was so fascinating to immerse myself into these characters and their stories. I highly suggest you give th

I received an ARC of this book last Friday, and by Sunday night I was finished. I completely devoured this book, all 600+ pages. I might have even gone into early Monday morning while reading it, I can’t remember. Time did not exist where this book was concerned.

From the world-building to the extremely vivid creature descriptions, this book absolutely sucked me in and held me in an iron grip. I typically pace myself with books, stopping at a reasonable time to start a new chapter, especially if

Wow! I was anticipating the next book in the Xiveri Mates collection and I was Not disappointed! Even if you have not read the other stories, you will be sucked in by the phenomenal world building Elizabeth Stephens creates! You feel the hunger and fear as well as the anticipation and hope. This story is about a human woman, Mian, who has been a slave all of her life. Neheyuu, the leader of a raiding party, finds her during a raid and keeps her, allowing the slaves she was hiding with to remain ...more

Absolutely freaking fantastic!!

These aliens have me 100% hooked and each book I promise myself I will take my time & make it last - I never do. I binge them in a day. This is book 3 in the series but could definitely be read as a stand-alone.

This one is a little different to the first two, in terms of what kind of alien the hero is. He’s definitely less”human.” But it’s still a beautifully written love story which is character focused and full of rich imagery. You feel like you’re part of this

This book was just as awesome as I hoped it would be! I loved this new world and the story flowed so well. This felt very much like a barbarian romance, which happens to be my favorite!

Taken to Sasor is the 3rd book in the Xiveri Mates series, but set in a different world, so in my opinion, can be read as a standalone.

The book starts out with our H, Neyehuu, raiding a human camp where our h, Mian, is a slave. She is starved, dirty and scared, but the first thing she does is sacrifice herself fo

After reading some the preview from the this book in the author’s extraordinary work Taken Nobu. I have been dreaming about how this new alien world was going to turn out. Taken to Sasor did not disappoint! The world was so detailedly described and as I read it became a movie. I wasn’t prepared for this world! As in previous books Sasor is another planet that humans went to make settlements. This world is not without its dangers. The Manerak are the indigenous species of the planet that raid the ...more

Taken to Sasor Book 3 of Xiveri Mates by Elizabeth Stephens
Although this is the third book in Ms. Stephens’ Xiveri Mates series that I have read, I find she is not losing steam. In fact, because of the way she writes, I kind of want to go back and reread the first two books to enjoy her choice of words. She got me hooked before the end of the first page. Ms. Stephens’ character development is swift, colorful, and economical. I was quickly drawn into her story, becoming instantly concerned about

The more I read it the more I liked it. This author did a great job with her storytelling and her ability to keep me anchored into finishing this book.

I have read a couple of her books and I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed this book!!!!

Just like book one, this book made me fall in love with the characters and the story within the first couple of pages!

Unlike the previous two books, this book takes a bit of a break from the usual characters we know. Now I was back to a semi-new story while keeping me in the same world I know of the Xiveri Mates. I wasn’t expecting that but having this whole set of new characters in a new location made it feel just as amazing as book one. I got to relearn a whole new culture of snake aliens and

(I received a free copy of this book in exchange for a review).

I've always been interested in well-written romances. And while I haven't read too many alien romances, I was quite eager to read this book when I was given the opportunity to.

While I don't really like dual first person perspectives, I did think it worked quite well in this book, though I was quite confused by the meeting/melding of the two different cultures. I didn't really understand how Neyehuu's people viewed human females. On t

Elizabeth Stephens is amazing when it comes to worldbuilding. Her different societies and cultures have been astounding in the Taken series, and Taken to Sasor is no exception. This third book in the series starts with the heroine Mian sacrificing herself to save the rest of her human town from the fearsome shifter tribe led by Neheyuu. He takes her for his own bedmate, and slowly comes to realize her true worth.

My struggle with this book was that word “slowly.” It takes Neheyuu a long time to g

Loved it! So sviking good!

And what is not to love about a male, whatever species, calling himself out for the fool he is?! That is what First, Neheyuu does at each turn. Though he is a strong, alpha male, he is brought down to his knees by a human slave no less, who doesn't even know the power she holds over him or the rest of the manerak tasmaran.

Neheyuu returns from one of his many raids with a female in tow, Mian, and believes it will be the same as always-he is so wrong. Nothing goes as pla

I liked it a lot. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I really liked this. I liked the personalities and the different take on the shape shifting. I enjoyed the little things like the wreaths and that they had humans among them before. I liked that not all of them could shift, but still found a purpose within their tribes, they weren’t cast out or looked down on because of it. I really like, and this might sound weird, that they could change tribes when they wanted without punish
I am one of the loyal readers of this series that was immensely disappointed that Svera & Krisxox was not book3. I was curious to see how, if at all this story of Neheyuu and Mian [ oh the names!!] ties in with the continuation of the series. So clearly it does not, not really at least. The theme of xiverie mates still rings true but in a different sense, which is fine. But tbh this really should have been bk4, while the continuing connection stories of 3 friends flow back to back. I don’t think ...more
