this book has mostly awesome tasty recipes. i use it alot but i don't like the index because if you want a recipe with carrots in it, the index will just give the page that she talks about the vegetable carrot and not any of the recipes with carrots in them-it drives me crazy. but i think i have read every single recipe in this book and made a lot of them and with a couple exceptions they turn out rather tasty.

I love that she takes a more relaxed view of what is raw and what isn't. She incorporates some steaming of food which is necessary to make some nutrients more bioavailable. Great intro and explanation of raw foods and lovely, easy to follow recipes. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!

I thought that this book will offer me more insight on raw living but it is probably more of a cookbook than a life style book. Because I am not ready to explore new recipes nor looking for them, I found this book uninspiring and lacking foundation.

This book is far more comprehensive. She includes a whole chapter on steaming and blanching, and several pages on warm drinks(!!). Thank god.
But the language is a bit off-putting sometimes. Lots of talk of 'life force', energy, balance, etc. It starts to feel a bit heavy.
