description Whew...this series has been SOOOO good!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Crazy dark, twisted, sexy, violent. I was a tad bit nervous going into this third book. I didn't love the way this author wrapped up her previous duet (The Savage Fall), so it worried me we would be left hanging again. Thankfully, that was not the case here. Everything wasn't tied up with a neat little bow, but I felt satisfied with the way she left things. 👍

The writing in all three books has been phenomenal. They were all well paced. The plot was

Rose/Ellen cried and sobbed all the time! she was abused, used... No backbone what so ever... She didn't even tried to acknowledge that the kid was her son, just so she didn't need to deal with it...
She was always in a state of confusion, lack of sleep and hunger or having sex with a guy that 80% of time treat her like a whore, was offensive and insensitive...

"Hell isn't a rose. Hell is love. The agony of blind desire. Trust in the face of inevitable destruction. The acceptance of death to protect the breath of another. "

When I first started this trilogy I was torn. Ellen seemed so ... lacking? That's not that right word but yet it is. As the story progressed she began to bloom. By the close, she had become, in her own right, a force to be reckoned with. In some ways, I truly believe that Mischa was the catalyst for her self discovery. Without his cr

First-class; excellent, this is my thoughts about this amazing series! Lana Sky created a very dark, violent, inhumane world, full of Mafiya and death
It's there where we meet Misha and Ellen (Little Rose) and where we say goodbye to them, and their family in this last book.
Finally, secrets are revealed and true wins. This couple evoluted with the storyline, the fearsome, lonePahkan learned how to love and our sweet little rose

These books was so beautiful and amazing like the rest 2! Basically tbh, I was so so excited to start it and I am glad I did!!
Although 2 things that hurt me the most are, first : we never ever got a chapter from Mishca’s POV, second : we needed more of Mishca and Ellen (Rose).
I needed them to marry and see Rose give birth to Mishca jr.
Ahhhhhh!! These series messed with my brain but then too I love it!!! The amount to twists and turns it had, but it was pure Chefs kiss 👩‍🍳💋!!

I have to say, out of the three books in this series, this one has edged out to be my favourite. It was more than I could have possibly hoped for. Secrets are revealed and true motivations are shown. I think Ellen comes into her own in this book. She goes from being a sheep sent to slaughter to a wolf willing to take anyone down who gets in her way. And it’s Mischa who helps her see her potential. I love their relationship because so much of it is unspoken. They have learned to communicate with ...more

Note: An ARC was provided in exchange for an honest review.

First thing: Clearly I should have avoided this book when it said it was no good for under 18s since it involved gore, mature scenes, and what not.

But you know as an ARC reader, you have to read the novel since you have to review it honestly and promote it too, so there’s no going back.

Second fact: There is no indication or flashbacks to the previous book. So for me, be it as an ARC reader or a normal reader who’s never read the previou

What a conclusion to the series! My gosh, I cannot rave enough about Lana Sky's books, but she really outdid herself with the War of the Roses series! Hopefully if you have stumbled on this review you have already read the first 2 books in the series, if not, rewind and go to XV and check it out right now!

Ellen (Rose) is growing into her own now and watching it is like watching a rose bloom. Mischa is not an easy man to know, but is that a bad thing? Heck no it isn't! The thing about a brute is
All I can say is WOW!!! This lady can write. This is my first time reading anything by Lana Sky and let me tell will NOT be my last. These books were so dark and delicious and NEVER lost their steam from book 1 until book 3. My only complaint was the ending. It was kind of rushed and did not have enough closer to say "The End". They never confused if they loved each other, we never figured out if she raised Eli or Anna, what happened with Anna, did Ellen "Rose" get her voice back and so ...more

This book is a dark romance with scenes of explicit sex, mentions of sexual abuse, graphic violence and mentions of physical and psychological abuse that may be unsuitable for some readers. Please take this into consideration before reading.

This book was a lot tamer than previous books. There seemed to be gentleness to Mischa that was not there before. I liked watching him interact with Eli and Mouse. Even with Ellen, he wasn't as harsh or violent. Ellen took off in this book. She took all of her years of hell and utilized them in the fight for her life, literally.

Towards the end, a pivotal scene that spelled out the entire backstory and how this war came to be. I definitely was surprised. Even though I got my answers, I s

What can I say? I was hooked instantly, and I'm so pleased that I was finally able to finish this series because I havn't been able to stop thinking about it!

I loved the character development throughout this series, and I didn't find book 2 and 3 as dark as the first one.

What a story! This is one dark, gritty and amazing storyline. It is full of action, drama, suspense, betrayal and earned love. Rose has becomes incredibly strong and courageous throughout the series and especially this story. This pulls you end and keeps you captivated. It has you feeling the pain right along side the characters. It also makes you smile at times. I read the story as an audiobook and Caitlin Allgood Knight's performance is superb. Our Little Rose 🌹finally got her well deserved HEA

I highly recommend this series. The story was very well written. I have to admit the first book was hard to read without you wanting to revenge of our poor Rose and how she was treated. All three books were packed with action and steamy romance. The series was definitely an attention grabber from beginning to end.

WOW! This book was intense. The character development for both Ellen and Mischa are big. This series took on a whole new meaning of mafia books for me. It is not for the faint of heart. This series is by far one of my favorites from the author.

War of Roses, Book 3
By: Lana Sky
Narrated by: Caitlin Allgood Knight

Finally, book 3! I have been on the edge of my seat with the first two books in this series. So many unanswered questions and the suspense just kept me going! We pick up with a surprise at the end of book 2 that is going to change things. But we don't know if it will be for the better. Ellen is stuck in the middle of this war between families and the pull of two men. The question is who can she trust, who does she love an

As I mulled over this final book in the War of the Roses series, I couldn't help but think immediately of a super hero cliche: With great power comes great responsibility. This of course comes from Spiderman, and I can easily apply it here.

As Mischa and Ellen become closer, they become stronger. And the mafiya war intensifies, possibly including those close to home. So who do they trust? They turn to each other, and Mischa finally admits why he's so angry and distrustful of Ellen.

Mischa Stepanov has saved Ellen more than once, but can he trust her to save him this time? Can he give her that power?

Just when you think there couldn't possibly be any more deception, secrets, lies, backstabbing, and betrayal in Ellen/Rose and Mischa's lives Ms. Sky proves you wrong.

Oh. My. Goodness!! This third book in the War of Roses series pulled me in and wouldn't let go. I couldn't put it down. I think I was holding my breath most of the time I was reading. With all that Ellen has had to endure her whole life it's really amazing she hasn't given up and just let death claim her before now. That's what I

Man, I'm not sure how I feel about the War of Roses trilogy being over, because it's been that good! While I wanted all the answers, and I feel that I got most of them, I sure don't want to say goodbye either. Of course, I have to state for the record that this is Book 3, and the conclusion, so YOU MUST READ BOOKS 1 & 2 FIRST! Seriously though, you'll be so confused if you don't follow it in order because the diabolical Lana Sky wrote layers upon layers of twists! Like there were twists turning ...more

Lana Sky can take me to the depths of the darkest hell and then show me the light of hope. I (One) is about breaking down completely into tiny pieces and then emerging as a whole new person. This mafia romance bathes in blood, betrayal and secrets. And the pure all consuming love comes out of the mess.

Yes! This book answered all of the questions that I had while reading the first two books! The author begins this book soon after the end of the second book and she does a great job of developing the next phase of the storyline. Once again, there is a lot that happens in this book. But the focus of this book seems to shift from the battle between Mischa and Ellen to the two of them trying to navigate all of the politics and intrigue in the mafiya. I didn't want Ellen and Mischa story to end!! This is the 3rd book of the series War of the Roses by Lana Sky. I highly recommend you read XV and VII if you haven't yet. Ellen is still coming into her role. Mischa is still learning to trust. This story brings out more twisted truths buried beneath lies. Every character has their role and place in the story.
