Read this many years ago. I lost my copy but plan to buy again if I can find it. A fun little book as an introduction to the hobby for kids or adults.
Mr Radlauer was the principal of my elementary school, Escalona School in La Mirada. I remember him with great fondness and respect. He was creative and fun, always coming up with inspiring themed days with special events that got us out of the classroom for some exciting activity. I had an emotionally difficult childhood, but Mr Radlauer made it such a pleasure to go to school every day. I have often thought about him over the years. I still miss him 60 years later.
Oh, and I did not realize he was an author until in my 40s when browsing through a used book shop and found one of his books. It was this one about collecting dollhouse miniatures, my adult hobby. What a thrilling discovery.
