Anselmis observations and descriptions of Sabbaths music and their impact upon music as a whole are worth the price of admission alone. Cant heap enough praise on the writing and Anselmis fair and balanced (not in the Fox News sense, but in actuality) bios of sometimes enigmatic and lovably sketchy individuals like Bobby Liebling, Wino, and Dixie Dave Collins is worthy of the utmost respect as well. ...more

A typical survey of musical genre sacrifices depth for breadth, while a memoir in music is often necessarily narrow in scope.
