God Chose a Woman First was an excellent book. I took the class with the author, Laura Savage-Rains. She is a great communicator, teacher, and all-around great person. If you haven't heard about the women in the bible, I would start here. I didn't know many of the stories and learned so much. There is much to think about when reading this book and getting the background on each woman that you will find fascinating. If you're just starting your spriritual journey or already on the road way head, I highly recommend this book.

It was my privilege to read a review copy of Laura Savage-Rains wonderful book, God Chose a Woman First.
I may be prejudiced because my mother and maternal grandmother were responsible for my spiritual development and leading me to Christ.
This volume highlights the unique and irreplaceable contributions of Biblical women to human history. It brings their stories to life and places the reader in the scene alongside them.
It is extremely well organized, very easy-to-read and presents Biblical information from a perspective rarely offered or contemplated.
As examples, I like the summary of Firsts of each woman presented at the beginning of her chapter, the Biblical Truths at the end of the chapter, Why the voice of each woman matters, the questions raised and the keys of each woman that demonstrate resilient confidence.
I strongly encourage women and men to read this wonderful book to enhance their Biblical understanding and that they share its message with their children as part of leading the next generation to a Christ centered life. What an outstanding addition to someone’s spiritual walk!

I loved this book. Laura tells about Biblical women that God used first. With each woman, she begins by telling a short historical fiction story about the woman followed by the true Scripture account of her. Additionally, Laura describes what was happening in our world at the time each woman lived. Thought provoking questions conclude each chapter. Great for individual reading or could be used as a book/Bible study.
