pg63 the animal is a tiger not a cat. Though both are felines, a tiger motif is different from a cat identifiable by the 王 shaped decoration on their forehead. these slippers are known in China as Tiger-head shoes. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tiger...
