This book is about a hungry fox that is looking for food and meets many different animals throughout the day. Because he is selfish and not very kind, he misses all the opportunities to make friends and win a share of their food. At the end of the day, he ends up learning his lesson and winning a good dinner.
I would recommend this book if you want to teach your kid on being nice and patient and not jump blindly right into what you want.
The illustrations are very different from the usual. They have a digital, futuristic style going on. My 6-year-old son liked this book 🙂

I loved all the characters the fox came across on his travels and the lessons he learned. Great book for younger kids to have read to them and for older middle grade to read for themselves.
Especially love the monkey, elephants and wise old owl.

Hungry Fox had just woken up.
He was cold & hungry.
Follow Hungry Fox as he meets the new animals along his adventure trial.
The singing Bear was out fishing.
While dancing the fluffy Rabbits were digging up carrots to eat.

The Monkeys were swinging from branch/branch gathering bananas for their meal.
A baby Elephant was gulping up a pail of milk.
The Giraffe stretched her long neck into a tree eating leaves.
The Racoon was reluctant to show Hungry Fox where he gets his leftover food.
The Squirrel wasn’t really sure if he should let Hungry Fox guard his nuts.
Hungry Fox returned to his den to the sound of the Owl.
What advice did the Owl have for Hungry Fox?

I did not receive any type of compensation for reading & reviewing this book. While I receive free books from publishers & authors, I am under no obligation to write a positive review. Only an honest one.

A very awesome book cover, great colored pictures & proper font & writing style. A very well written children’s verse/rhyme story book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great children’s tale movie, an animated cartoon, or better yet a mini TV series. A very easy rating of 5 stars.

The Hungry Fox: A Fable Told in Rhyme by Cole Adams is such a charming read. The rhyming flows effortlessly, making it perfect for reading aloud. My kids were giggling at the fox’s mischief but also thoughtfully discussing the lessons afterward. It’s rare to find a story that entertains and teaches without feeling preachy. A lovely balance of humor and heart.
