Merrick

Jonas West has gone too far. He needs to be stopped, and I'm the man for the job. Negotiating with the enemy is a risk, but it's one I’m willing to take to ensure my family's safety.

Of course, nothing ever goes as planned.

As my life flashes before my eyes, I'm rescued by a handsome stranger. Espen LaRue is a powerful young Omnus with ice in his veins and fire in his heart. Independant and fearless, he wields his mental magic with ease, and the minute our eyes meet, I know.

He is my mate.

But what can an old wolf like me offer someone like him? Espen can move mountains with simply a thought, while I break out in a sweat just stitching up wounds. Yet, there’s no denying the spark. The energetic man is an enigma, and my wolf calls to him.

It was only a matter of time before I found my mate, but the clock is ticking... Will love be enough to save us? Or will the Dreadhunters win this war?

I was so happy to read about Merrick (Doc) getting a mate but it took him forever to decide to keep him because of his insecurities with his age. Espen was a kick ass Alpha 🐺 👍 with his special gift but I just felt he wasn't appreciated by the new pack he rescued and he had to even beg his own mate to bite him to seal their bond.
I just felt too much was going on to fully feel the bond from Merrick or Espen and especially the new pack who never once thanked Espen for all the new changes he made to the pack. 😠 🤨 Don't get me wrong I enjoy reading about about the Northpoint wolves and getting to know the Foxgrove pack and the author sure knows how to end the book with us wanting more!! It does seem things are coming to a head with the dreadwolfs, looking forward to the next book. ;-)

By far the best of the series so far... But OMG was it rough reading at times! The thought that I might have to make it through book six when it arrives that is even half as intense as this one makes me glad I won't be immediately reading it! As far as I am concerned the author can wait till Thanksgiving at least to drop book six! That said this book was wonderfully exquisite torture! SOOOOOO thrilled to get so read Merrick's HEA! He and Espen were such an awesome couple!

I like the book as an individual and Espen as a character, but the book felt disconnected from the series and Merrick felt different than how he'd been presented in the other books. Maybe because it takes place in another pack? I still liked the book, but I couldn't really forgive the disconnect.
We got more answers, so that's progress!

What I love about the Northpoint series is that Kiska Gray is mean to her wolves. With this author, instant recognition of a fated bond is never an actual instant bonding or gratification. She always puts her fated mates through a period apart  while they sort out their feelings, causing the poor guys to suffer from longing and blue balls, lol.

Just like Merrick and Espen. The way they've met was awesome. Merrick on his knees, with Jonas, alpha of Westwind ready to kill him, when knives started flying, directed by Espen...with his mind. Yes, because Espen is this badass Omnus with telekinetic powers, capable of making objects move with a mear blink of his eyes. And I guess the resulting blood bath after saving Merrick's life was bound to put a damper on their joy and definely discourage any romantic inclinations.

After, Espen had a lot of work cut out convincing Merrick to give their bond a chance. Amber Run's doctor had a lot of hangups, and it's been incredibly fun to see them all crumbling down thanks to Espen's careful wooing and slow seduction. And there've been many times I wanted to tell them to hurry up already, because it wasn't like they could afford to lose precious moments together, not with everything happening around them.
Not only were the Dreadhunters closing in on them, but worse: it seemed like they couldn't trust their own people.

So, Matter of Time was a thrilling rush, from beginning to the end. It was awesome, fast paced and full of surprises. So much danger woven into the romance, fear into joy, happiness and love. Also, the series plotline is moving forward, keeping me completely hooked and curious to see what will happen next.

LOVED IT!

Fate won't allow age to ruin happiness.

I have been waiting for this book! It did not disappoint. This continues the saga of the Northpoint Wolves. Everyone is here. They drew me back into their lives from the first pages. This book has it all: new Omnus powers, fated mates, mpreg, old enemies, loyal friends & family, danger, courage, steamy scenes, and love. What's not to love!
Merrick, doc, thinks he is too old to find a mate. He is happy in his role as Pack second. Until his life is saved by Espen, his fated mate. Espen has telekenetic powers. He will use them to save his mate. Now he has to break walls that have been in place for years. Throw in Dreadhunters, betrayal, traitors, and a twin who saves the day, and you have a great story. As this book continues in the next book, Merrick and Espen get a Happy For Now. You will love this book!
I recommend reading the previous books in order. The background will make this book more enjoyable. Besides, they are great reads. I can't wait to see what happens next.
This book contains adult themes and language, mm sex and is intended for mature readers only.

This is another great addition to the Northpoint Wolves series and I am so happy that we finally get Merrick's story as he is one of my favorite characters and he so deserves his HEA. I love how Espen is all in from the minute he meets Merrick and that he is so determined to make sure his new pack is well cared for after the reign of terror the previous alpha put them through. He is definitely more pragmatic about having to kill evil people than Merrick is comfortable with but he is also sweet and caring with those under his care. Merrick is worried about leaving his pack and also about the age gap between them but he can't stay away from Espen as every time they are together their mate bond only gets stronger. The threat of the Dreadhunters is not the only danger they are facing and they will have to rely on friends, family and allies to help them deal with it all. The secondary characters are amazing and it's great to see how all of the couples from the previous stories are doing. I love the ending and I can't wait to read the next book in this exciting series.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

This series gets better and better. Espen was such a badass and I was totally ok with the way he took care of bad guys without blinking. His power is freakishly cool and strong. Merrick is such a kind soul, love how their relationship developed and the power dynamic in the bedroom was sexy AF. I didn t get quite attached to Espen's pack bc the dynamic of Merrick's pack is so fun and awesome so I kept wanting them together with the rest of the guys, that said it was obvious Merr wasn t needed there anymore, it was time for him to be happy and lead with his mate. The way the author spred these characters and intertwined their lives is amazing, I love how we now have 3 packs binded together by brotherhood and love. The final battle will be epic with all of these powerful shifters. I can t wait for the next book, hoping it's Ari's. I m a sucker for twins and hurt&comfort and this series has both❤️

That was an amazing story that left me speechless. I really looked forward to Espen and Merrick HEA. They really deserved to find their happiness and it was refreshing to see they had to fight to achieve it. Merrick is a kind soul who resigned to never meet his mate that is way first is reluctant to accept happiness being afraid he is not enough to make Espen happy. Espen really wanted to meet the mysterious grey wolf who haunted his dreams and whose life is in danger. Their first encounter is charged with emotion and so their journey to happiness begins. They complement each other and together they face danger and betrayal from their pack.
Great character development and the story is engaging and has many unexpected twists. I really recommend it.

This is definitely my favourite book in the series.

I’ve been eagerly looking forward to Merrick’s story and it didn’t disappoint.

Espen was seriously badass and I enjoyed watching him use his gifts.

Merrick and Espen were beautiful together. Their bond was strong and their love shined throughout the pages.

This was a gripping instalment. I was left on edge trying to figure out who was betraying the pack and it was the person I least expected. There were a few touch and go moments where I was literally holding my breath - I was biting my nails off like a crazy person.

Fantastic book and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Slow-burn, magic and suspense.

Great continuation of the series.
Merrick is the pack doctor or medic.
He's dealing with a lot of insecurities and is convinced he'll never meet his mate.
Espen is extremely powerful and is determined to woo his mate.
I loved the slow-burn aspects of their developing relationship.
Wonderful sense of family, action packed danger and suspense with plenty of twists and turns as well as the shock of potential betrayal from within their own ranks.
Danger is gunning for the pack and I can't wait to see what happens next.

This is the 5th book in the Northpoint Wolves series. We finally get to see Doc find his fated mate. We get to see old enemy destroy and New enemy getting closer and closer. Espen has been searching for his brother and then his mate life is in his hands and using his powers to save him. Doc and Essie mating has it up and down but we see them come out stronger then every. Cant wait to see what happens next hopefully Dillon will find his mate that can keep him and his mouth in line. When with the Dreadhunters come? Highly recommend this book and series

Book 5

Finally, Merrick finds his fated mate in the new Alpha of Westwind, Espen. Unfortunately, there is Strife within the Westwind pack, and the DreadHunter's are still on the hunt.

The cover is yum

I didn’t like and DNF the first book and skipped to this one. I liked Merrick and wanted to read his story, especially he’s paired up with a younger man. Not to mention the guy on the cover is dreamy. This book was good and the plot was getting interesting. I will probably go back and read the other books.

Matter of Time is the fifth book in the Northpoint Wolves series by Kiska Gray. Fantastic storytelling with interesting characters. Espen and Merrick are great together. The story fascinates me with its sense of drama, action, and the power of Pack.

Great read

I love this book. I was so thrilled to read about Doc finding his younger mate. Aspen wasn't perfect and had issues but that's what made him perfect for Merrick. I'm definitely diving into this next book.

Great Read

I absolutely love this series and can’t wait to read more! Merrick and Espen’s story was wonderful, even though I think some people got off too easy. This story has action, suspense, love and spice.
