I admit that this book might be enjoyable and funny for other readers, but not for me. I requested it based on the blurb but it didn’t work. I tried to finish it but it was a lost battle.
The improbable plot device connecting hero and heroine is too absurd for me – entering the construction business to see how her late boyfriend’s comrade moved on with his life? And I really can’t understand why an adult woman can’t see

Crazy Love is a sweet story about serendipity and a reminder of the impacts of war on the survivors and their loved ones back home.

Lulubelle Swan or Lu is a spitfire, who has lost her way after her only sweetheart dies in the war. She has struggled for years to move on, yet she feels stuck. Seeing a picture of her sweetheart's commanding officer Tynan/Ty smiling in a newspaper photo, she decides to seek him out and study him to determine what she needs to do to become as happy as he is. She does

Always a sucker for haters-to-lovers relationships. This was a light read. The characters were downright hilarious. I had a blast reading this book. I read it as a standalone; didn't know it was part of a series until after I received the ARC (I don't think that was a problem though). This is my first military-related book to read, and let me just say, military guys are totally hot. I loved the relationship that was between Lu's fiance an

Lulubelle Swan lost her high school sweetheart, Joe, the boy she’d known since 3rd grade, three years ago when he died in Afghanistan. She’d never thought about loving anyone else and she can’t move on. She sees a picture of Joe’s sergeant, he’s smiling and seems to be having a normal life, and decides to track him down to see how he’s been able to move on.

Tynan Cates hires Lu Swan for his construction crew despite the fact that it’s obvious that she doesn’t know the slightest thing about constr

Tynan's body really doesn't have good timing, “that’s . . . not a flashlight. I think the guacamole and oysters just kicked in.”He rolled his hips lightly, pressing his hard-on against her abdomen, drawing a moan from them both. “Hell of a time.” I loved this book. Tynan had the patience of a saint where Lu was concerned.

It's all good, Stanley. It's all good.

Lu's fiance, Joe, was killed three years ago in Afghanistan. She's been floundering since then, unable to move past his death or focus on work. She heads for Climax, to find Sgt. Cates, intent on finding out how he's been able to move on with his life. Newsflash - he hasn't. When she gets there, he hires her based on a phone interview, to work on his construction team. She knows nothing about construction. I like this book even better than the last one in th

I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.  The expected publication date is October 25th, 2016.  Thank you!

This is the third in the Cates brother series.  I had read the first one to mixed reviews however I am glad that it did not stop me from reading this one as I enjoyed it so much better.  I have not read the second story so I cannot comment on it.

4-Stars! I fell in love with the heroine the moment I met her, and then fell even harder for the hero! There was a deep undercurrent of sadness and guilt running through both of their hearts but the touches of humor and glimpses of sweetness, not to mention delicious sexual heat, from both of them pulled me along to a very satisfying ending to their story. There were parts where the pacing was a little slow for me, but characterization beats that every time, and the author didn't disappoint. I'l ...more

Between 2 and 3 stars for me. This is the first book of this author I have read and I requested and received an ARC from Netgalley. The blurb was really promising (tiny woman working in construction?) but unfortunately the whole funny angle wore off really fast.

Lu is still mourning the death of her boyfriend Joe in Afghanistan after 3 years. When she sees a picture of his former army Sargeant Tynan Cates she decides to go look for him to find out what he did to get over his sorrow of losing his

This was a good book that had a good plot and interesting characters. The complexity of overcoming grief was portrayed quite well, however I didn't like the ending as I feel like there wasn't enough detail in it. I wanted to know more about all the 'firsts' the couple experienced. Also, seeing as Joey was such a big part of Lu's life I feel like his character should have been fleshed out a bit more instead of so much time bei

This was a very good read. It had a unique storyline and the characters were interesting and funny. This is the second book I've read by this author and I was glad to see that we were given more of the characters backstories then we were in the first book. The quirky characters at the diner were hilarious and the witty banter between Lu and Ty was quite enjoyable. Imagining the petite Lu working on a construction jobsite and hurting all her fellow workers definitely had me chuckling. Ty and Lu s ...more

Just finished this third book in the Cates Brother's series and I'm in love yet again. Lee Kilraine does such a fantastic job of pulling you into her stories and making you fall in love with her characters. Not just the main ones but everyone living in Climax NC. This story really pulled at the heartstrings and got me teary-eyed in a few spots. Such great emotion and it's all so real. This book is beautifully written with humor, steamy chemistry, emotion and heart. And I just saw that she has an ...more

The story of Tynan and Lu has all the feels. I love this book. You will sniffle, giggle, laugh out loud and maybe ugly cry. Lu is a great heroine. She is fierce, strong, beautifully broken and takes on the world. Tynan has his own issues but my word is he worthy. The story of how they heal each other is one of the best I have read in years. The wit and banter, the humor and the passion grabs on and burrows into your heart.

This book ENDS well but ... had I not read and enjoyed the other Kilraine book the other day I never would've kept on - other than I was already half hate reading to see how it resolved cuz ...
Man were there parts I wanted to set this book on fire.

And parts where I HATED the heroine. Like, actively wanted her to die OTHER than she needed to live to make up for her shit.

There is a loooooooooot of suspension of disbelief needed here. And like ... Tynan is kinda just "oh ok" :| >.>

The concept of the story was a bit different, in a good way. Lu is trying to find answers about what happened to her childhood love, and she seeks the army man out that was with him...Ty.
Ty is struggling with his own guilt. Despite the subject matter, the books is light and very small town. It moves a bit slow, so you have to hang on. Serious yet there is a lot of humor. I liked the book, I just didn't love she and Ty together...the chemistry was not there for me.

This book continues the Cates Brothers series and is the story of Tynan and Lu, I have loved all the books in this series so far and this one definitely lived up to my expectations. This story takes us through the final steps of both Lu and Tynan healing after both suffering from the loss of a person they cared about. I loved seeing the character we know and love especially HL and his quest for a knew mommy. So if you are looking for a sweet and funny and easy to read romance this book an
I thought this book was great. Each book in the series about the Cates brothers gets better and better. Tynan and Lu have the love hate relationship that gives the book fire and humor like no other. It has all the aspects of a book you are looking for and is a light easy read that will have sad moments but also makes you laugh as you read. I highly recommend this book along with the other Cates brothers books!

Lu couldn’t get over her fiancé’s death even after three years. So after seeing a picture of his commanding officer in a paper smiling she decided to seek him out to find out how he could get over what happened and live again. Tynan still blamed himself for the deaths even through he he did everything he could to save them all.; nor was it his fault he survived. But when Lu’s hairbrained idea backfired because she fell for Tynan and he fell for her and the subterfuge of who she was and what she ...more

This was a really sweet story that was full of heart. Lu loses her fiancee in the war and Ty was his commanding officer. Both are drawn to each other by this loss. I enjoyed the interactions between Ty and Lu. While there are certainly some emotional moments, Lu's spunkiness provides for some laugh out loud moments as well. Ty and Lu's witty banter many times had me smiling. It was clear their was strong chemistry between the two. It was a sweet story and I enjoyed the way everything came togeth ...more

This is a solid 3.5 ⭐ read

This book had me in tears in chapter 1, but I knew it was going to be worth it. Then I was laughing out loud so hard my family was staring at me.

There were more tears, okay maybe some serious tears. But worth it to see Lu evolve as a character.

I would have liked to see more rap up/follow up at the end but I guess we will see what happens in the other brothers books

I've received a free ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review. Tynan Cates is a construction extraordinaire, former Marine, and overall good guy. Lu (Lulubelle Swan) is a baker and chef, who has lost her Marine boyfriend Joey. She isn't doing well even 3 years later. She has so many questions, and can't seem to move forward with her life. When she decides to go visit Sergeant Cates to get some answers, she gets more than she bargained for. Will she find healing? Beautiful rom ...more

Thank you Kensington Books for providing me with an ARC of Crazy Love by: Lee Kilraine. I enjoyed this book so much that I actually read it in one day. It was fast-paced, straight to the point, and just a really good book.

Some thoughts:
-Although it being a good book, I'd have to admit that the plot was really cliché. It's a plot you'd commonly see almost everywhere. I already knew what was going to happen throughout the books just by reading the description. Sadly, there were no twists or turns
Lulu and Tynan are great characters. They have amazing chemistry and their emotional journey captured me. However, there were some parts I thought were drawn out a little too much. The characters sometime internalized things too much when they could have just confronted each other. It's a great emotional romance!

I received this book in exchange for my honest review.
