Busy people don’t have time to organize! At least that’s what most folks tell themselves, promising that once they get a moment, they’ll tackle the piles of clothes, papers, and other possessions that just seem to multiply when they’re not looking. And yet it seems every time they banish the mess, it’s not long before it begins creeping back. This sanity-saving book empowers readers to conquer the chaos once and for all. Proving that getting organized is not hard if you have a plan of attack, this snappy guide provides simple solutions for getting things under control immediately and permanently. Readers will find easy-to-implement strategies to help * corral the biggest clutter culprits and start making a difference right away * set up simple daily and weekly routines to keep the mess at bay * break big, overwhelming clean-up jobs (like the basement, garage, and closets) into smaller, more manageable tasks * and much more Filled with helpful charts, checklists, and other clutter-busting companions, this is a lively and practical guide to managing the jungle that is the modern home.
Ended up skimming through, so it might have differed towards the end, but it was mostly unoriginal and rather boring, and rather... focused mostly on American big-house problems rather than the clutter and lack of organization itself (such as attics and giant basements; it wasn't solely focused on that, but it did spend a boring amount on time on it for someone who has neither). Maybe it was just me thinking so, though.
In brief: Not bad as there is some sound advice (though it's advice easily obtainable in just about every organizational or decluttering blog), but not really good, either.
