The Immortality Trials Omnibus Part 1: Books 1-6

A young woman who has outrun her brutal past must stand and fight in this fast-paced, action-filled series readers are calling addictive and original.

What if Hercules wasn’t the hero we all thought he was?

His daughter, Lyssa, knows just how cruel he can be. But she has left that life behind and now her battered smugglers ship, the Alastor, flies under everyone’s radar - just how she likes it.

The Gods have a different plan for her though. They’re about to break one of their only rules and grant a worthy hero a chance to win the ultimate prize – immortality. And Lyssa and Hercules are two of the lucky heroes offered the chance to compete.

Twelve gods, twelve realms, twelve trials. And for Lyssa, they’re about so much more than an eternal life. They’re about facing the monster from her past and stopping him from becoming truly untouchable.

She never wanted to let the world know that she inherited some of her father’s immense power. But maybe it’s time to show them all.

You’ve never read Greek mythology like this before…

This omnibus contains the novels Skies of Olympus and Tides of Olympus in one collection, which covers episodes 1-6 (RRP 5.98). There are 12 episodes in total.

Reviewers are saying...

“This is hands down the most interesting version of Greek mythology that I have ever encountered. What you thought you knew about the Greek Gods and Hercules is completely thrown away, and instead something completely new replaced it and boy did I enjoy this version!” Katherine at Smadas Book Smack

"Eliza Raine has done a wonderful job expanding the unique world of Olympus she has created, bringing it to life with her always vivid descriptions. Not only that, though. Each character derives straight from the ancient myths, each name has a deeper and actual meaning and is appropriately assigned, proving that she's done a serious research of every aspect of the story and the characters before putting it to writing. If you like mythology, then "The Immortality Trials" series is a definite must read!" Amazon Reviewer

“Eliza Raine has taken the classic myths, heroes and gods and created a new, unique world, that drew me right into it. Apart from the excellent storyline, there is a variety of characters -gods, humans, paranormal creatures- that are exceptionally developed. The plot is fast-paced and full of adventures, with great twists, while the descriptions are so vivid that made me feel part of the story. I can't wait for the next instalment!” Amazon Reviewer

“Eliza Raine has herself one hell of a story… The story twist and turns and has you wrapped up in so much so that you can't put it down. So if you like Greek mythology you will love this book , but even if you're not a fan of it don't pass up the chance to read a fantastic story. You will not be disappointed in this book at all.” Goodreads reviewer

"This is such a refreshing twist on the entire Greek mythology, and it's hard not to enjoy seeing what the author has plotted together next. Lyssa is an amazing, girl-power character, who has as much to learn as she has talent and wit.

Twelve Trials to Amuse Bored Gods

What a very fascinating read! I enjoy tales that are spin-offs of Greek or Roman mythology, and this a particularly enjoyable one. The author has set up a good premise that will see this series through twelve novellas: The Greek gods are bored and decide to choose heroes to face twelve trials, and the victor’s team will win mortality. Each of the twelve gods will chose a champion, but only four will be chosen to compete in the trials. One of these is Lyssa, daughter of Hercules, and she very much wants to win against her father, whom she sees as a brute who murdered her mother and brother. She certainly does not want him to be immortal.

I thought the author set the scene very well, showing Lyssa's life as a smuggler before Athena comes to her ship to choose her as her hero to put forth for the trials. The goddess believes that Lyssa is the only one who could beat Hercules. Lyssa has made quite a life for herself, skirting the edges of the law as a captain of a smuggler ship. The author also did a good job showing how Lyssa is physically strong with her quarter-god ability to feel rage and channel it. She is a strong and believable heroine who is uncomfortable being thrust into the limelight after so many years in the shadows after she chose to flee from her father. The author also wrote good descriptions of the above-Olympus world; I could imagine it quite easily. I look forward to reading more about these trials.

I received a free advance copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.

What if Hercules wasn’t the hero we all thought he was?
Once, everyone knew who Lyssa was. Her famous father made sure of that. But she has left that life behind her, bad memories included. Her battered smugglers ship, the Alastor, flies under everyone’s radar and that’s just how she likes it.
The Gods have a different plan for her though. They’re about to break one of their only rules and grant a worthy hero a chance to win the ultimate prize – immortality. And Lyssa’s one of the lucky heroes offered the chance to compete.
Twelve gods, twelve realms, twelve trials. And for Lyssa, they’re about so much more than an eternal life. They’re about facing the monster from her past and stopping him from becoming truly untouchable.
Lyssa never wanted to let the world know that she inherited some of her father’s immense power. But maybe it’s time to show them all. How else can she compete with giants, centaurs, demi-gods, warriors and the strongest man in Olympus?
You’ve never read Greek mythology like this before…

Wow what a wonderful collection of reads.
Such amazing world building is going on in these.

Whats not to love about this series?! Great twist on Greek mythology! The characters are so well written and each with specific personalities. It will be hard not to think of these Greek legends as they are written in this series. The story its self is so well written and fast paced that you have to keep reading so you can see what is next. The Trials are based on Herculean legend and are seamlessly worked into an amazing adventure.

I received an ARC of this book from the author. This is an honest review.

What an interesting series! I have always loved learning about Gods and Goddesses but reading this series has a great twist. Reading about a series of trials to possibly become one of the immortals just because those on Olympus are bored??!! Wow! Very cool how Hercules and his daughter(who are not on good terms) having to compete and go through the trials is AWESOME!

I have always loved all kinds of myths. The Greek are one of my favourites. The book created great reality full of mythological delight. Great action and different points of view. Creative ideas how to do Trials based on Herkules tasks. Well created characters. I absolutely love all the adventurres.

Life is safer then, they say. Things are less complex, they say. Well not according to The Immortality Trials. Life is not simple with all kinds of beings, and it is definitely not safer. But a whole lot more interesting

Very slow beginning and I almost stopped reading

But the series got better however I don’t like the way it’s written. Also I noticed several words were misspelled or typos. Another thing, in every book I’ve read authors always use these “ symbols for dialogue and it annoyed me that it was only one.
