Tina Turner, one of the world’s most beloved performers, reveals the joyful wisdom behind her inspirational life story in her powerful new book about finding happiness, hope and love in your own life, "Happiness Becomes You: A Guide to Changing Your Life for Good."

A legendary singer, Tina has sold more concert tickets than any other solo artist in history. After her early hit songs including “Proud Mary,” her well-publicized hardships forced her to disappear from the music scene. She rebuilt her life by tapping into her spiritual strength and rose up to recreate her career with a string of megahits including her multi-platinum album "Private Dancer." During her 50th Anniversary Tour in 2009 she performed for more than a million fans.

I have to admit, my one and only favorite song by Tina Turner is Proud Mary. I could listen to that song all day long just for inspiration.

This book is fantastic! Every picture is full length and captures her spunky and talented personality. She looks fantastic and she’s 80. 80 years young! The book is beautifully crafted and includes copies of personal notes that she has received from other entertainers.

From the opening to closing you get a heartfelt pictorial snapshot of her career. So much so that I didn’t mind, barely noticed even, that the majority of the photos are in black and white.

Simply the best.

Tina Turner: That's My Life is a gorgeous collection of candid photos through the decades, personal letters, and an intimate look into some of the living legend's most cherished items, which includes sculptures from around the world, fashion pieces, and her gold ring. Fellow singers, friends and even Tina's daredevil moments grace these pages. But the photos of her in her home are the ones that stick out for me the most.

"I spent several years turning the house into the refuge of my dreams. My work is noisy, but my life is quiet. I need nature and solitude—they nuture me. My idea of a vacation is reading a book on the terrace while Erwin cooks us dinner."

The photo alongside those words shows Tina standing on the edge of her infinity pool with the mountains and other scenery in the distance, engulfed in fog in some areas and peering through in others. Simply serene.

I began this oversized coffee table book 2 days prior. It was only right that I finished it on November 26th. Happy 83rd Bornday to the incomparable Queen of Rock & Roll!! 💃🏽

I can’t believe Tina turned 80 years old. She seemed forever young. This is a beautiful book showcasing the Queen of Rock and Roll through the years in photographs. Alongside the photos are inspirational words from those who have known Tina or have worked with her and from Tina herself. This really gives you a sense of her fight to break free from a toxic marriage to performing solo in her hard-earned career. There were limitations holding her back that she had to overcome as a poor African American girl growing up in the American South in the 40s. Then she went on to become the greatest and most successful female recording artist in history. Something to be proud of for sure. The photos cover decades of her life as she changed into a confident women and her energetic personality shines through the pages. I especially love the photo of her braving climbing the Eiffel Tower. Fearless.

Another one that I just looked through. It’s oversized so filled with lots of pictures of Tina on stage performing, posing for portraits, backstage, with celebrities, with friends and family, by herself quietly at home. There are artifacts of her life including collected artwork and her many costumes and dresses. She had quite the life. And has great legs.
