Gates of Repentance: The New Union Prayerbook for the Days of Awe

Rate this book
With the publication of Shaarei Teshuvah, Gates of The New Union Prayerbook for the Days of Awe, The Central Conference of American Rabbis offers The Reform Synagogue and the wider Jewish community a liturgy for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. The prayerbook offers two services for both evening and the morning of Rosh Hashanah. The prayerbook affords each congregation latitude in establishing its own patterns of worship. Local custom or necessity will prescribe what part of the service will be read and what part sung, what in Hebrew and what in English, what will be set for silent meditation and what will be spoken.

The "red book" used for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. I felt very lost when I was using this book as I felt it was not convert friendly because not everything was in transliteration and congregations go so fast. If there are other versions that someone would recommend please drop me a line.

Once a good little Jewish girl, always a good little (repentant) Jewish girl. How can you not rate the alphabet of woe highly, right?
